Summer weddings are dreamy! Colors pop out like a dream during summer and there is a good chance that an outdoor wedding will not be spoiled by bad climate. However, the heat can make it uncomfortable for the bride wear all the makeup in the world just to look good for the camera on the biggest day of her life!
The melting makeup is one concern while the heat and dusting causing skin irritation or allergy are another. You really do not want to end up with a messy skin during your honeymoon! Get to the foundation of all problems!
Makeup is all about the right foundation, mess it up and your makeup will end up looking all drably. For brides with oily skin, the sweat will only make it worse so go easy on the moisturizer and opt for one that is oil free. For dry skin make sure you moisturize properly or else the makeup will dry and crack up due to the heat.
Foundation is to give the make up an even base so if you already have a flawless skin you can skip it and use a spot concealer where needed. It also stays on longer than the regular foundation which makes it more heat-friendly.
Powder instead of creams
Blushes come in both power and creams. The powder stays on longer and more evenly than creams under high heat. So, for a summer wedding, all you need is a cheek stain and a matching blushing powder.
The same goes for the other makeup material that you use. Prefer less creamy and more of the solid stuff since the liquid will tend to mix with the sweat and heat and run off!
Waterproof your mascara!
Indians love dolling up their eyes with dark highlights. However, the T of the face, especially the eyes get oily real soon and it is best that your mascara is waterproof. Avoid overdoing it since it can get really dark when mixed with sweat. Use smudge-free eyeliners since most Indian weddings end up in shedding a few tears!
Moisturize your lips
While the rest of your face can get oily, sweaty or runny your lips can dry up real soon in summer! You do not want to see cracked lips in your high definition video tape. Use a lip balm with SPF value 15 and use lipstick that doesn’t bleed. Use gloss to get that sheen on tape.
No matter how summer-proof your makeup is, carry blotting papers, powder, lip gloss and a mini brush with you or your helper to touch-up during intervals and look fab!
