We visited Desi Chowratha NJ on a weekday, and the experience was absolutely fantastic. We started with the Street Style Chicken Noodles, which instantly reminded us of the famous chicken fried rice from Hyderabad street stalls — full of flavor and perfectly done. Then we tried the Jalapeño Chicken, which was creamy with an elegant punch of spice. Honestly, I haven’t seen any other restaurant in NJ currently making such a unique and delicious appetizer. It’s definitely a must-try. Next, we ordered the Benne Masala Dosa, and it was outstanding. I would easily say this is one of the best dosas you can find in the USA. It gave me a nostalgic feeling, almost like eating at Rameshwaram Cafe back in India. To finish, we tried their famous Cheeku Milkshake. It wasn’t overly sweet and worked perfectly as a refreshing palate cleanser after the meal. Overall, I’d give this place 5/5 ?. It’s one of the best new Indian spots in New Jersey and a must-visit for food lovers.

Being from Dallas, I wasn’t expecting much from this newly opened restaurant in NJ but they completely exceeded my expectations! The Irani Chai was spot on and tasted absolutely authentic, and their Mutton Biryani was so good that I can confidently say it’s going to be the best in NJ. If you’re craving quality South Indian food, just come here and try it I guarantee you won’t be disappointed. Desi Chowrastha is a nice place if you’re looking for good Indian street food. I had a really good experience there, and the food tasted fresh and full of flavor. The jalapeño paneer was really tasty — the paneer was soft and the jalapeños added a nice spicy kick. I also enjoyed the paneer frankie, which had well-seasoned paneer wrapped in a soft roll and made for a great quick bite. The egg biryani was also very good, with flavorful rice and eggs that blended well with the spices. The staff were friendly and the place had a welcoming, relaxed atmosphere. This is the kind of place Jersey has been waiting for. It has plenty of space for everyone—dine-in, hangouts with friends, couples, families, or takeout. A paradise for food lovers with a nice mix of Walmart (value for money) + Costco (quantity) style. The food portions are bigger than most competitors, which makes the meal more satisfying. My top picks: Benny Dosa, Frankie, Alpino Chicken, and their signature biryanis. What really impressed me is that they throw away leftover food after 11 PM, so customers don’t get stale food the next day, and have separate chefs for each category (even for tea ??), which shows their focus on quality and taste. Their USP is QQQ (Quality, Quantity, Quisine). As long as they continue QQQ, customers will keep coming back.

Being a south Indian its very difficult to find the proper crispy dosa and this new place has so many options to choose the perfect dosa the chutney was so good ginger chutney was my favorite loved there irani chai with malai bun the bun was something different and the onion samosa was wow I will go back again to try some of there chicken dishes loved the experience ????

I am so excited Empyrean now has a Hoboken location and its GORGEOUS! The staff are so kind and the food is amazing. I got the Seekh kabobs which sizzled like a fajita...the vegetables with it...gorgeous...I also got the paneer....such a comfort dish on a cold day. It's right next to the 9th St Light Rail. I highly recommend popping in if you are traveling via light rail. Take it to go if that's all you have time for. It's a beautiful restaurant but its got a friendly casual vibe so you can juat drop in for a drink...an appetizer...take out or dine in. Being from Dallas, I wasn’t expecting much from this newly opened restaurant in NJ but they completely exceeded my expectations! The Irani Chai was spot on and tasted absolutely authentic, and their Mutton Biryani was so good that I can confidently say it’s going to be the best in NJ. If you’re craving quality South Indian food, just come here and try it I guarantee you won’t be disappointed. This place is definitely going to make its mark and outshine every other restaurant in NJ!????????????????

Was able to at last try this restaurant.. very very nice location and close to the heart of Edison.. lots of parking outside. Inside looks a bit cramped, especially on weekends… service is really bad!! guys there don’t look like they want to service customers.. on weekends and Fridays the average weight time is 1 1/2 hours! So be ready for that and don’t expect too much with the hype that’s going on.. wish they really fix service issues and love their customers as much as the customers love their restaurant . The only thing that’s good here is biryani.. tried the gutti venkaya biryani, and it was super awesome. Goat biryani was also decent enough, but they had really large pieces of bones and not much of goat meat… we ordered chicken 65 biryani, but they gave us something else.. I think it was pachi mirapilaya biryani and it wasn’t that good . Chowrashtra chicken fry was oily and not the best . Chilly chicken was like tomato sauce and sriracha. There are other andhra restaurants around this area who not only service customers well but also the taste is good… veg biryani was good and pachi mirapikaya chicken was good too . Might not go back again, unless I don’t have any other option.. 2.5/5 .. can’t give 2.5 I. Google and hence have a 3 star !!

I got the Seekh kabobs which sizzled like a fajita...the vegetables with it...gorgeous...I also got the paneer....such a comfort dish on a cold day. It's right next to the 9th St Light Rail. I highly recommend popping in if you are traveling via light rail. Take it to go if that's all you have time for.
