I recently ordered a variety of items for an event with 50-55 people, including cucumber bites, dhokla, shahi paneer, veg Kolhapuri, dal tadka, rice, and moong dal halwa. I almost don't want to post this review, and instead keep this place a secret. I am picky about food, only the best will do. My son is even pickier than me. We gobble up the food from here in no time at all. Shailja and Nehal consistently turn out the most tasty Indian food you can get anywhere in the Bay Area. They hands down beat even the high-end Indian restaurants in the area. What is more, the food is CLEAN and is literally the same as authentic home-cooked food made with high-quality ingredients. What's more they are more than ready to answer your questions if you happen to have concerns about ingredients that may be food allergens. You owe it to your taste buds (and your health!) to give this place a try.

Are you short on time for cooking a healthy meal for your family and self? Well Carry the curry is here to the rescue. I've been using their service for a long time and loved most of the diverse and delicious Indian vegetarian menu items. The food is very close to home cooked and not doused with oil and lip-smacking nevertheless. Their recent change to deliver twice a week has been great. If I don't mention their desserts around Indian holidays - like Gulab Jamun, it will be an incomplete review. They are also mindful of the packaging. All food arrives in compostable boxes. We started ordering from Carry the Curry a few months ago and now it's become a weekly routine; rarely does a week go by when we don't order Carry the Curry! We love the food because it's utterly delicious but also home-cooked which means that it doesn't have excessive oil or spices and uses fresh ingredients. For those of us who don't like to eat overly spicy food, it's really great that CtC always offers a mild/medium option. As for the menu, they change it up every week and offer a lot of variety, occasionally also offering desserts and other goodies. Among some of our favorite staples are their Chana Masala, Dal Makhni, and Peanut Masala Rice. Recently, they offered Lauki ki Kheer on the occasion of Sankranti and it was amazing! Lastly, their packaging and delivery is totally on point, as the food is always well-packaged (never leaking) and is delivered within the specific delivery window they tell us usually the day before.

I have been ordering food from Carry the Curry for the past 3.5 months. Best homemade, organic Indian food in Bay Area. I have catered from Shailja & Nehal for 3 different events. The food delivered was delicious, each time & the quality was never compromised. Special mention to their chana chaat, vada pav, matar paneer, cucumber sandwiches, spring rolls, mix veg kurma & gulab jamun. All our guests thoroughly enjoyed the food & there were barely any leftovers. I would highly recommend ordering food from Carry the Curry if you haven't already.

She then sent me the receipt via text, with a detailed breakdown. Shailja coordinated the pick up location and time over text. Was all smooth! They do have an option to deliver food at an additional $$ too - check with them for the charges. Food: We ordered vada pav, samosa, cucumber sandwiches and channa chaat (half tray). We were going to stop with the first three, but Nehal suggested channa chaat too - and oh so glad she did. That was delicious, as were the rest! We hardly had leftovers. Was a major hit! Pricing: very reasonable! We ordered 10 additional sandwiches (just in case). And we didn't have any leftover! If you're ordering sandwiches, I'd recommend ordering more. We accounted for 1.5 per person on an average. We'd not have regretted if we had ordered 2 per person too. Overall, very satisfied!

I ordered the appetizers, main course, and dessert for a house party from Carry the Curry. The cucumber bites, spring rolls, and batata vada were delicious; superhit with adults and kids alike! The main course of pav bhaji, tawa pulao, and raita was very tasty too! The star of the show was the scrumptious motichoor cheesecake dessert! Nehal provided very detailed information about catering and the delivery service was great too. Loved the food and the experience. I'll definitely be ordering again and recommending it to my friends.

We ordered catering service for guest count of 50. Our menu consisted of creamy Cucumber bites & cocktail samosas for appetizers, Veg Jaipuri and Paneer Afgani for Curry and Lasooni Dal, Roti & Jeera Rice. Menu suggestions, quantity and taste was outstanding. Appetizers were a super hit. Nehal is very nice to work with. If you are in Bay Area and missing home cooked food.... you got the place now. I love their food. Only catch is they do not deliver as of now so I have to go and pickup from Fremont.

I've ordered from Carry the Curry a couple times now and they were a life saver when we were in the middle of a move during my pregnancy. Hassle free ordering, awesome flavorful food and the perfect balance between the healthiest organic ingredients and authentic flavor of home cooked meals. I really appreciated the fact that unlike restaurant meals Carry the Curry's food had no artificial colors or things that mess with your gut and cause bloating. They are also very responsive in terms of service. If ordering from them everyday was an option, I'd consider it!

Very authentic, delicious and home style food. The best Indian homemade food I have had in bay area. I personally don't like very greasy or salty food for everyday consumption and with carry the curry I never had to think about it twice. Their food just like what we cook at home and very gentle on stomach. Can't thank them enough for providing so tasty and healthy food. Highly recommended. Please keep up the good work .

I usually do not get meal deliveries but we had their food first time at friends place. It was amazing I had to ask their name, from that point on we have been getting their food regularly. first tried their food at a friend's place and loved it. I usually get different curries but I want to say their Paneer is so smooth and taste so fresh ( because they make it in their own kitchen) I truly wish that they soon start serving every day of the week. She then sent me the receipt via text, with a detailed breakdown. Shailja coordinated the pick up location and time over text. Was all smooth! They do have an option to deliver food at an additional $$ too - check with them for the charges. Food: We ordered vada pav, samosa, cucumber sandwiches and channa chaat (half tray). We were going to stop with the first three, but Nehal suggested channa chaat too - and oh so glad she did. That was delicious, as were the rest! We hardly had leftovers. Was a major hit! Pricing: very reasonable! We ordered 10 additional sandwiches (just in case). And we didn't have any leftover! If you're ordering sandwiches, I'd recommend ordering more. We accounted for 1.5 per person on an average. We'd not have regretted if we had ordered 2 per person too. Overall, very satisfied!

The food is very close to home cooked and not doused with oil and lip-smacking nevertheless. Their recent change to deliver twice a week has been great.
