My daughter has been learning Bharathanatyam in Khushi dance academy for the past 7 years. We are very lucky to have Mrs. Sonal Jhaveri as her guru. She is the very dedicated teacher I have ever met. Nowadays Its very rare to find the teachers who are not money minded. Mrs Sonal Jhaveri is the one who is dedicated to the art she is teaching but not money minded. We have moved to Edison 4 years back. Even then we are still continuing the classes in khushi dance academy just because we don’t want to miss such a great teacher. Even in this pandemic she is keeping the classes and students very active & learning oriented. I would highly recommend khushi dance academy to the kids who are willing to learn bharathanatyam.

I have been a student at Khushi Dance Academy for a little over six years now, and I have loved every single moment of my experience. The dance instructor takes her time with students, guiding us along our journeys as dancers. There are many opportunities for you to grow as a dancer and as an individual through class itself, performance opportunities, and interaction with students of all levels. The teacher is understanding and looks out for the growth of her students, so long as students play their part as well. This is a place where I've seen children not only enjoy putting their passions for dance into practice, but also a place where I've seen them grow into respectful, disciplined, kind, and talented individuals.

My experience is very good . I get detailed attention from.Guru Archana Her focus is so much on grammar, strength. Archana Tai is the true Guru. There isn’t anyone else who has the strength, dedication, and in-depth vision like Tai does. She focuses on grooming every single student and brings out the beauty in them. She is so precise in her choreographies and even while teaching, she makes sure to explain everything to her students. We don’t just learn how to move our bodies; we learn all the terms, and the meaning behind what we perform, and the science and math behind what we do. Tai makes it her responsibility to explain what we’re learning and how it connects to us at that very moment. Through Tai’s guidance, we have been fortunate to have the opportunity to perform on many stages and partake in many workshops and events. I have been a student of Tai’s for 9 years now, and I feel so blessed to have the opportunity to learn from her and to have her as my Guru.

This school has a detailed curriculum, all the way from Beginners to Master’s level. Archana Arts embodies the rich culture of Indian heritage. As a student of six years at Archana Nrityalaya, I can proudly say that getting the opportunity to learn from Archana Tai has been one of the greatest blessings of my entire life. In fact, the impact of her tutelage, both in and outside of the classroom, cannot be quantified into the five stars of this rating. I highly doubt that it could be counted in thousands of them either. When I began learning with Archana Tai in sixth grade, I wasn’t very happy. Kathak dance had so many guidelines, so many rules. The dance required so much effort and discipline, and with Archana Tai as my guru, I had to strive for perfection. And I definitely was not disciplined or motivated enough to do it at that age, and it was because of my drawbacks that I almost considered quitting my tutelage. Today, I proudly say that continuing was one of the greatest decisions I’ve ever made. The rules that I eventually internalized define my character today, in both dance and society. Every single lesson in her studio is test of the decorum she has taught and continues to teach me: Do I appear confident and strong every time I move my body to the rhythm? How about my hair, my attire? Have I dressed to succeed in class? And lest we forget, how am I reciting poems and compositions? Is my performance acceptable, or exemplary? Most importantly, how do I respond to my critiques? Do I dare to retaliate out of sheer impulse, or accept my mistakes and respect both my progress and my teacher’s wishes and try again? I face the questions every single day when I return, and try to make the right decisions as Tai has taught me. Yes, Tai can be strict. She pays attention to the nitty-gritty details, and strives for intense perfection. She may break down her students to begin, but rebuilds then into future dancers and leaders. Her endless care for her students is reflected in every single conversation she has with her students. These attributes that distinguish her from other teachers and academies. The schooling that we students receive here is arguably beyond any other Kathak education we can receive. Here, we learn to push the boundaries the boundaries of ourselves and dance, so that we can do the same in life. Thank you, Archana Tai. My daughter Vaani has been learning dance ( semi classical and contemporary ) from Nritya creations from past 2 years. Her teachers Ms Serita and Ms Aayushma are excellent and very creative . We can see a lot of improvement in her dance with the technique used by the teachers. This has helped them to win competitions too!

Our daughter has trained in western dancing for several years. However, her love of Bollywood songs and movies led to her affinity with eastern dancing. She didn’t want to focus on just Bollywood dancing but wanted to pay homage to her South Indian roots and incorporate some form of classical dancing along with western dance techniques. Nritya Creations (NC)offered just that, an Indo-Contemporary class that incorporated Classical, Lyrical, and Jazz. NC and its teachers have provided a wonderful outlet for our daughter to perfect her technique and learn the art form. She has become even more confident and poised over the past 3 years, all the while having fun.

The show was amazing! Hats off to Archana Tai for working so hard to put this show together and to make it the best it can be. I had a guest from India who thoroughly enjoyed the performances and following are her own words: I would not have imagined to witness 3 and 1/2 hours of a pure classical show in the USA, which I have not even seen in India. The show was fabulous.

Year after year, the level of the performers keeps getting better. It is enthralling to see the progression of the little ones blossoming into such a fine dancers. I have been dancing with Nritya Creations since I was 9 years old, and attending the Bharatantyam and Indo-contemporary classes have truly allowed me to grow into the dancer I have become today. Ms.Melanie’s style and demeanor are beyond par and I also enjoy Ms.Angelina’s exciting choreography which challenges us an advanced competition team each class. My daughter is learning Bharathanatiyam in Nritya creations in 6th year.Mr.Damir is her guru. Rarely we see the teachers who are friendly with kids at the same time control over class. Kids does not loose the interest to learn. Mr.Damir is the one who has complete control, consistent and I do see his passion in Bharathanatiyam when he teaches kids. I strongly recommend him as great teacher.

I have been a student at Nritya Creations for 9+ years now and I’ve loved dancing here ever since I started. The teachers here are excellent and they have taught me so much throughout the years. I have been dancing with Nritya Creations for most of my life. This school has allowed me to blossom as a dancer. Khushi Dance Academy is best dance school in Jersey City area. The teacher is having very good knowledge and command over the Bharatnatyam. The teacher manages and coordinates the timings very well with parents if any changes in schedule and she is very supportive. This is more than a review of Khushi Dance Academy with almost 4 years of my daughter's association with this dance institute.My daughter has innate inclination to dance from very very young age, we took her at age 4 to this institute.Guru Sonal identified the same inclination in her and so we started our journey with Khushi Dance Academy. I'm proud of my daughter for where she is today learning this great art Bharathanatyam, from this Dance institute. Though we have logistical challenges location wise, we did not find another teacher like Guru Sonal.(period) In few words - Dedication, Passion, Discipline are taught in this institute's dance training, which carry into the student's personal development as well, especially for girls at young age, which are strong Personality/Character development traits to remain through their adult life and much later in their lives. Needless to say, this is the standard of the training from Guru Sonal, who is doing great work of carrying this dance form and tradition to future generations, here in United States. I look forward to my daughter's growth in Bharathanatyam under the guidance of Guru Sonal for many years to come. Thanking Guru Sonal, always.

Raiya is now 14 and she has more confidence in front of an audience than most adults as far as performing whether it be a dance, acting, singing. It stems from an early start with Nritya Creations. The teachers are dedicated and educate the children and build confidence to perform and execute in front of an audience. We believe that this aspect is under appreciated but really impacts the children. Thanks to Nritya, Raiya has built more and more self confidence through the years and it has impacted her in school and in her life. My daughter has been taking lessons for about 8 years and I took lessons as well for about 3 years or so. Teachers are excellent, committed to growth of students as dancers. Tatyana takes personal interest in each student, has been very patient correcting mistakes minor (and not minor). Excellent dance choreography as well.

My daughters were learning Bollywood style at the Edison ( Iselin) Center... I loved the way the classes were conducted... Very professional teacher ( Ms Kena). My girls danced with more confidence and zeal. The Admin staff is also very cooperative. I also saw classical form bring taught there and they were good. Overall a good experience

My daughter has been part of both the bollywood dance as well as the Bharadhanatiyam class. Especially the foundation techniques taught for Bharatanatiyam is really mind blowing. Naach 360 2019 was well organised and an excellent way to get the students exposed to high end performances. The owner/instructor, Paromita, is not only a great dancer but a very warm and humble person that reflects clearly in her teaching style.
