Neeharika Pendekanti is the founder and artistic director of SITA. Neeharika is a dedicated teacher, creative choreographer and an excellent performer. The school has produced numerous ballets like Mahishasura Mardhini, Krishna Leelamrutham and Yashoda Krishna. SITA has organized Cultural Awareness camps and Asian Heritage presentations at various public schools and corporations. The philosophy of the school is to instill a sense of confidence in the student while fostering a love for dance. Neeharika Pendekanti, is an acclaimed and a well-educated classical dancer. She began her dance lessons at the tender age of 3. She is an exponent of Kuchipudi and Bharatanatyam. She received her initial formal training under the tutelage of the renowned dance guru Smt. A. Parvathi, of Eluru, Andhra Pradesh. Following this she pursued her Bharatanatyam under the able guidance of Smt.Gidugu Visaalakshi, of Hyderabad. She advanced her Kuchipudi dance education under legendary Padmasri Nritya Choodamani Dr. Sobha Naidu at the Kuchipudi Art Academy, Hyderabad. Neeharika has been giving performances all over the world for over 25 years. She has extensively toured UAE, USA and India. Her gracious dance and lively expressions have won her numerous awards and honors from prestigious organizations including NEFJA, Kalanilya, Balala Academy, Kaladarbar and YMCA.
