There were many things we asked for that did not happen at my wedding. My father gave a playlist, and DJ Kash didn't play much of anything from the playlist - just some of the instrumentals. The list did include some dance tracks that he played but not many. He also didn't play the instrumental version of our entrance song and played it really late, we were already halfway into the entrance by the time it started playing. Furthermore, he welcomed everybody before my parents did, which upset them alot. Also, my dad asked not to have silences and to play low level background music at all times which also didn’t happen. He also only played a few of my husbands songs from his playlist. The songs he did choose were often inappropriate for my audience , with expletives. Low by Flo Rida was an example of this. For these reasons my husband and father were actively upset with the music during the reception. In addition, he was very slow to respond and didn't call my father back at all for example. He also charged 50$ per each remix of one piece of music and needed all the points where to mix the songs, so we made the mixes ourselves. I did try to relay this privately but got no response until this review. He did respond and apologize for the items mentioned, therefore I’ll update to 3 stars.

We used DJ Kash for our wedding sangeet a few weeks ago. He did an excellent job leading the mobile baraat and the sangeet itself too. Our wedding was Fusion – Indian/American, and Kash did a great job getting everyone out on the dance floor. Kash was professional, communicative, and kind from the day we first reached out, the weeks leading up to the event, the event itself, and even the days following. He executed our detailed timeline very well. We would recommend Kash for future events, especially Indian/American ones.

I was so thrilled to have found DJ Kash to help make our Sangeet a memorable experience for everyone! I found him through instagram, as one of the premier South Asian DJ's in the triangle area, and after listening to his sets, I knew he would be the perfect fit for our event. We reached out, and within a few weeks, we had a signed contract, he had added at my request, a Dholi and I felt that he would deliver even though we'd booked him over a year in advance. Kashif is professional, fun, and can read a crowd and vibe incredibly well. He blended western music with Bollywood hits and for our Sangeet he played a live, mixed set which was DOPE. Everyone loved the music and would not get off the dance floor. Additionally, he was incredibly flexible- I had literally no direction for him (mostly because I trusted him) and he was able to accommodate last minute requests without complaints. And thank you Kashif, for encouraging me to keep the Dholi, because between the two of you, the event was more memorable than I could have imagined. Kashif made the space beautiful with his uplighting, which was a welcome addition to his standard cost, and set up and tore down with no issue in a very busy downtown Raleigh venue. Friends giving and a mehfil that will be truly remembered due the efforts of Vinay and Aparna from Mehete Sur. They had a unique way to become one of us (mind you we are middle school friends in our fifties) getting us all involved and even getting people with two left feet dance away. Attended a 75th birthday part for a doctor friend and Mehekte Sur was the entertainer. We were all on the floor for over 2 hours on their Live singing and did not even feel the need for a DJ. Vinay recently hosted my daughter’s 5th birthday party and we all had a blast. He is a really good dj and anchor. He took great care to get to know us and curated the event as per my preference and played my daughter’s favorite songs. My 5 yr old enjoyed a full 4 hr event and dint get tired all thanks to him. He handled the entire event with ease and the crowd loved him. He had all the kids on the floor , conducted games for us and finally all adults also had a great time on the dance floor. Our experience was very good. He was never late and always communicated quickly and effectively. He adapted to last minute requests and was very flexible. He also added very beautiful lighting and sparklers complimentary. He was very kind and supportive as well and worked well with us as the stress of wedding planning kept adding near the end. DJ Shaan was very easy to work with. His response time was very fast. He had a nice collection of songs that he put into the mix. Was flexible with any last minute changes. DJ Shaan went with the flow and made the both events magical.

We're both happy we picked DJ Shaan. We had a small (108 people) Hindu wedding outside and a reception at the same venue inside. He used the songs we wanted, he supported a good mix of American and Indian songs. He emceed well (we asked to keep it simple) and went with the flow of events and requests. He made sure to ask as many questions as he needed upfront before the big day. Being the bride and groom, we didn't see as much of the wedding, but we got a lot of compliments. People loved dancing at the baraat. They could hear the priest outside. They loved dancing at the reception. I'm looking forward to the videos of my cousin busting out to Superstition and my aunts who hardly dance dancing. What more do you want? My brother is an audiophile and we both used to DJ in college. My brother has been a lot of weddings, he'd put DJ Shaan above average. The complaints and issues were very minor and far between. Things like we messed up a very last minute song request, asking him to speed up the baraat a bit to make the ceremony times, or adjusting music volume. I only put these here so I don't sound super biased - these though are totally acceptable imo. I'd recommend you book DJ Shaan if you like him when you meet him.

Shaan is a Very good DJ and Everyone enjoyed a lot for the part that I have hosted. DJ mixing and ambiance are just amazing. He did a good mixing of South Indian and Bollywood music. I definitely recommend hiring Shaan as a DJ.

So we have been meaning to write shaan a review for a while. DJ Sensation truly lit up our wedding. We looked through multiple Djs and eventually decided to hire shaan because of the level of professionalism he brought to the table. His knowledge of old and new Indian and Pakistani music, ability to hold a crowd really helped us out of towners put together a memorable event. He worked with our crowd and schedule really well. The uplighting at our Sangeet and Reception was par excellence. The uplighting was The major reason why the photos came out great. My husband and I and indebted to DJ Sensation for helping us put together such a beautiful event. He was always prompt, cheerful and ready to play any song we wanted. Thank you DJ Sensation. I needed to write this because picking Shaan was the best decision that my wife and I made during our entire wedding planning process. We used Shaan for both for entertainment and for lighting -- both of which he knocked out of the park. When we signed up with Shaan, we didn’t truly understand how much of an impact our decision would make on the outcome of our big day. Looking back on our experience with Shaan, we got far more than a DJ, he was the conductor for our evening who kept the excitement and energy of our wedding day going until the last song. The bridal party entrances were electric. The lighting was perfect. It was truly the best night of our lives and made possible by the talent and hard work of Shaan and his team. You may be able to find less expensive wedding DJs, but going with Shaan, was the best money that we could have ever spent. Hats off to the Shaan and his team for a night and experience that we’ll never forget.
