DJ Raj is epitome of professionalism. From the moment we retained him for my daughter's wedding to the culmination, it has been nothing but just a fabulous experience for all. He has the best sound system, lighting options and an amazing DJ Mannan who got everyone on the dance floor non-stop with his trendy music both on Sangeet and Reception night. All our 400+ guests thoroughly enjoyed the music and were raving about it as everyone danced to their heart's content. Raj did an amazing job MC'ing both during Sangeet and Reception and ensured everyone danced to the tunes of his dholi and music during the Baraat. He executed the program as drafted to perfection. His professionalism clearly showed on the day of the events as they knew the exact tunes to play during Sangeet to the day of reception. We as hosts didn't have to worry about any details and he executed flawlessly per the plan. We now have lined him up for all the weddings in our family :)

I had the pleasure of working with Raj and team this fall for my wedding and they made sure that our friends and family of all backgrounds stayed on the dance floor all night and every night! The sound system and lighting was phenomenal as well. The cherry on top was having live music at our reception and we had their recommended violinist and saxophone player that all our guests loved! We didn’t fully appreciate the impact of lighting and AV at events until our wedding! They were truly essential in creating the atmosphere for each celebration, and we deeply value the coordination and technical execution Raj brought to every detail. Managing multiple events on an island is no small task, yet everything was handled with precision and professionalism. The lighting and AV brought the events to life in a way that elevated each moment and made the experience feel immersive for us and our guests.

The music and the dancing were easily the HIGHLIGHT of my wedding day. Planning a wedding during a pandemic can be quite disconcerting. I wasn’t sure if guests would feel comfortable dancing or if there would be looming fears amongst the crowd. Thankfully, the opposite was the case. We reached out, and within a few weeks, we had a signed contract, he had added at my request, a Dholi and I felt that he would deliver even though we'd booked him over a year in advance. Kashif is professional, fun, and can read a crowd and vibe incredibly well. He blended western music with Bollywood hits and for our Sangeet he played a live, mixed set which was DOPE. Everyone loved the music and would not get off the dance floor. Additionally, he was incredibly flexible- I had literally no direction for him (mostly because I trusted him) and he was able to accommodate last minute requests without complaints. And thank you Kashif, for encouraging me to keep the Dholi, because between the two of you, the event was more memorable than I could have imagined. Kashif made the space beautiful with his uplighting, which was a welcome addition to his standard cost, and set up and tore down with no issue in a very busy downtown Raleigh venue. I would 100% use him again if I ever needed to. The music was phenomenal, bangers all night- and the talent was immense and clear. Thank you so much for making my wedding weekend so memorable!

The music was spot-on, keeping the vibe upbeat and the dance floor packed all night. His announcing was seamless, and the lighting package he provided added so much to the atmosphere. DJ Kash truly knows how to throw a party, and we’re so glad we had him as part of our big day. Highly recommend!

There were many things we asked for that did not happen at my wedding. My father gave a playlist, and DJ Kash didn't play much of anything from the playlist - just some of the instrumentals. The list did include some dance tracks that he played but not many. He also didn't play the instrumental version of our entrance song and played it really late, we were already halfway into the entrance by the time it started playing. Furthermore, he welcomed everybody before my parents did, which upset them alot. Also, my dad asked not to have silences and to play low level background music at all times which also didn’t happen. He also only played a few of my husbands songs from his playlist. The songs he did choose were often inappropriate for my audience , with expletives. Low by Flo Rida was an example of this. For these reasons my husband and father were actively upset with the music during the reception. In addition, he was very slow to respond and didn't call my father back at all for example. He also charged 50$ per each remix of one piece of music and needed all the points where to mix the songs, so we made the mixes ourselves. I did try to relay this privately but got no response until this review. He did respond and apologize for the items mentioned, therefore I’ll update to 3 stars.

DJ Kashif made our daughter’s graduation ceremony a memorable party. It’s a late post happened last summer but still people talk about it. The music the light and the ambiance DJ K created was amazing. People danced their heart out, music was for every age. I will highly recommend DJ k for your next event.

We knew the day my husband and I decided we were getting married we would pick DJ RAJ. We had heard about him from so many people and had attended parties where they DJ’ed. You would think if you hire a DJ, they will just come and DJ and that’s it. That is definitely NOT the case when you hire DJ RAJ. You hire DJ RAJ, you get everything. Best music, MC, lighting, projections, tvs… and the list goes on. From day one Raj was extremely helpful and our main point of contact for literally everything we needed. Usually any vendor would try to sell you as many things as possible, but not with DJ RAJ. He helped us save money everywhere even if it would be below our budget. That did not compromise quality ever. He made a custom package just for us exactly how we wanted it. Going in we didn’t exactly know what we wanted and who to go to. Raj has a lot of experience in this industry, which is why he is already known as one of the best. If I had a question about decorators, wedding planners, venues or even the elephant for my wedding, my first stop was him and by the second month into my wedding planning, he became my first and only stop as I saw his recommendations were the best and cost friendly. As guests were leaving our wedding, the most asked question of the day was “Oh my god. Who was your DJ?”. Honestly, I have never seen my grandmother stay on the dance floor that long. The music was amazing from start to finish and I honestly thought that was not possible. DJ RAJ killed it. He catered to my Indian relatives and to my friends and co-workers. I would never go to any other DJ after having DJ RAJ…can’t go back to anything else. In general, the baraat was perfect…from the music to the MC and dhol, we had never seen a baraat quite like this. Second, the wedding was exactly like we had imagined and even better was the reception set-up – it was everything we had imagined and more. If anyone has seen the Sheraton Mahwah ballroom, there is some revamping needed in order to get that wedding look. DJ Raj Entertainment did a fantastic job with the make over of our reception hall (which was also where the wedding was just a few hours earlier) in a quick and effective manner. No complaints, no problems and absolutely no questions. The whole process was so smooth. If you’re looking for a company that will not only make your wedding look like it’s straight out of a movie, but also one that cares about you and your guests and is extremely easy to work with, look no further. I wanted the absolute BEST for our wedding and I knew that DJ Raj Entertainment would provide the best entertainment / music that I was looking for my event. DJ Raj and his team are awesome. They definitely have experience, and it shows. Our guests raved about the baraat, and said it was the best they’ve attended. DJ Amlan kept our guests on the dance floor until the hotel kicked us out. If you have the money to splurge on the star-lit dance floor, DO IT!! None of our guests had seen it before and are still raving about it. The dance floor MADE the reception. I would recommend DJ Raj & team for your wedding!

MC Raj and DJ Krishna were great! They had a variety of services available (everything from DJ services to dholi to horse and more) and were very professional. They have a lot of experience and it shows. They did a wonderful job with our music and our dance floor was packed allnight! Would definitely recommend their services.

DJ RAJ & crew are the best!!!! We had a very challenging 2 days of wedding celebrations considering Raj and his team transported all the equipment and staffing of 10 from New Jersey! Despite both days with large scale production, tons of equipment and hundreds of miles away from his home base, Raj did a fantastic job, with amazing lighting, the best sound and very talented staff! Everything was on time and looked very professional!!! DJ Amlan & MC Raj did an outstanding job – we could not have asked for a more talented team. The Garba was perfect Raj provided complete backline equipment, sound, lighting DJ and MC and everything just right, my guest were blown away!! The wedding day started with a baraat, which was a VERY high energy event. Raj really got people going by calling them out on the dance area, by picking excellent songs, and by getting the crowd into the music. He even got the groom’s parents and American friends dancing, which is not an easy thing to do! That amazing energy carried all the way through the baraat which lasted a good 45 minutes. The reception went perfectly, from the entrances to the first dances, speeches, etc. We had a very dance-happy crowd composed mostly of younger people (less of the older crowd), but DJ Amlan mixed it up well so everyone loved the atmosphere. In addition to being professional, Raj has a great personality and is very easy to work with. He gives the impression of confidence and calmness, like he has planned everything out ahead of time and accounted for everything that could go wrong. This allowed us to relax a little knowing we were in good hands.

DJ Raj exceeded out expectation for our entertainment for our Pre-wedding Sangeet party, my husbands Barat Procession, and the evening DJ and Entertainment for our Ceremony and Reception. Not only was he extremely helpful months, weeks, and days leading up to our events, the music and entertainment was absolutely phenominal! We booked DJ Raj Entertainment for my sister's wedding back in 2011, and they did an amazing job. When it came to planning my wedding, my family immediately knew that we wanted to book them again! Luckily, since we booked a full year in advance, we were able to book DJ Raj himself (we had a different MC for my sister's wedding who was also excellent). DJ Raj did a great job with the lighting for both our Sangeet and Wedding. He even found a certain type of string light that I wanted for our Sangeet venue, which he didn't already have. DJ Raj also found us the BEST henna artists - I was so happy with the intricate design they did and it lasted for almost a month. Raj also helped us rent the chairs for our mandaap, since our florist wasn't able to find any for a reasonable price.

Amlan & the team at DJ RAJ Entertainment were absolutely wonderful for my wedding. They made everything from start to finish the smoothest possible, and made sure all of my guests had an amazing time. I had every single one of my friends come up to me asking for their contact information to book for future events. They are AMAZING.

We had an outstanding experience with DJ Raj and the whole crew! We got married in West Virginia which immediately limited our vendor choices and increased our budget to bring East Indian vendors to the area. We used DJ Raj for mobile baraat (730AM) and the whole crew was amazing in being flexible with timing even though they didn't DJ the wedding ceremony and had to stay for the reception (530PM). Everyone raved about the DJ and their energy and excellent choice in music. Aside from a select few songs, I put all of my trust on the skills of DJ Smith and I was ecstatic with the mixes. I could not say more good things about these guys. They are professional, fun and truly make you're special day the best possible. They are well worth the money! I would recommend them to anyone at anytime. In addition, I suggest that you opt for their LED lights because they will transform you reception!

DJ Raj was amazing to work with as he just did our wedding from last weekend. From the start, he was professional, efficient and on top of his game. All conversations pre-wedding were a pleasure and he definitely provided some helpful tips on what would be best for the song list and ceremony we were looking for. At the wedding, DJ Raj and his team which included a Dhol were the best! They got everyone pumped up and they played the best music especially for a typical Punjabi wedding. They always balanced the night with great American songs and the rhythm of the whole day was just so fluid. I never had to worry about them the whole night. It’s like they came in and left as total professionals. Totally Recommend!
