Kabir was consistently responsive and worked with us to navigate schedule changes, last-minute song selections, surprise performances that even we didn't know about, and much more. Our guests had the bestttt time on the dance floor - going from Bollywood to American pop to garba, the music was always raging and super fun. Kabir is not only an excellent DJ and lighting vendor but also a caring, thoughtful, detail-oriented, and all around good guy. Our MC who was on his team was awesome as well. Raj and his team are absolutely incredible. Raj was so accommodating with all of our requests and last-minute changes, making the entire process stress-free. You can tell he truly loves what he does — we hardly had to give any instructions because he just understood our vision and brought it to life. He tailored the music exactly to our preferences while also reading the crowd perfectly, keeping the energy high throughout. What really stood out was how flawlessly he handled all six of our events. We had different artists performing at each one, yet we didn’t have to worry about a single thing because Raj took care of it all — from coordinating with performers, to managing the sound and lighting, to making sure everything flowed seamlessly. Even now, when I go back and watch the videos, I feel the same emotions I felt in those moments because of how powerful his sound and lighting setup was. His equipment and delivery created an atmosphere so electric that even the uncles and aunties who never dance were on their feet all night long. His expertise, professionalism, and passion are truly unmatched — he elevated every moment of our celebrations

DJ Raj is epitome of professionalism. From the moment we retained him for my daughter's wedding to the culmination, it has been nothing but just a fabulous experience for all. He has the best sound system, lighting options and an amazing DJ Mannan who got everyone on the dance floor non-stop with his trendy music both on Sangeet and Reception night. All our 400+ guests thoroughly enjoyed the music and were raving about it as everyone danced to their heart's content. Raj did an amazing job MC'ing both during Sangeet and Reception and ensured everyone danced to the tunes of his dholi and music during the Baraat. He executed the program as drafted to perfection. His professionalism clearly showed on the day of the events as they knew the exact tunes to play during Sangeet to the day of reception. We as hosts didn't have to worry about any details and he executed flawlessly per the plan. We now have lined him up for all the weddings in our family :)

I am an Indian bride and I worked with Desi Beatz Entertainment for our 3 Indian wedding events hosted in downtown DC. Along with Kabir as our lead DJ for all of our events, Desi Beatz also provided audio, uplighting, emceee and dhol services, and our photobooth. We decided to work with Desi Beatz early on in our planning process, and from the beginning, Kabir went above and beyond to support us. In addition to his own scope, Kabir also sent us recommendations for other wedding vendors; we ended up hiring another vendor based off his glowing recommendation and that vendor was fabulous as well. We couldn’t have asked for more from our experience working with Kabir. He patiently answered our questions about audio and lighting needs at our complex venues, attended multiple venue tours with us as we refined the event details, sent us sample music mixes for us to get a better sense of his DJ style, and cut our dance medley music tracks for us to use at our events. Kabir and his team executed flawlessly at all of our events. They were extremely professional and consistently anticipated the needs of our guests to keep our events lively and our dance floors full. During our reception, we were surprised with a live tabla player and foam glow sticks, courtesy of Desi Beatz. After the weekend, Kabir shared footage and compiled videos that highlighting our events. I would highly recommend Desi Beatz Entertainment for your event needs. Working with Kabir and his team felt like working with friends.

Desi Beatzs did an AMAZING job DJing for our wedding at the peabody library. Kabir did a great job keeping us on schedule and making the right announcements during our ceremony and our reception. The Emcee also did an incredible job keeping our crowd excited without being overbearing. Once the dance floor opened up the DJ did an amazing job of playing tunes that got every single one of our guests dancing :) We cannot recommend him enough!

Kabir is the man! From the beginning, his communication was always perfect, responding in a timely manner. Very detailed and organized setup. His mixes were on point and kept max energy on the dance floor. This guy knows exactly what he’s doing. 100% recommend him for any event in the future.

Kabir is an absolutely fantastic DJ. He was very communicative throughout the process leading up to our event, and diligently followed up many times even when we forgot to do many of our own items due to being so busy and preoccupied with other vendors. Music was amazing. He helped splicing and mixing our first dance song to the exact way we wanted. Every transitions were on time and on cue. He worked exactly perfect to the timeline and the plan that we build. He also enthusiastically incorporated some of our very niche club music that no one knows about, and pulled it off exceptionally. Once the dance floor opened, the energy never dipped. Seamless song transitions, perfect timing, and the kind of music selection that had every age group on the floor at the same time. He read the room flawlessly and adjusted the vibe like a pro. No awkward gaps, no dead air, no cheesy nonsense. Just straight heat all night. Many of our guests told us that they kept delaying their departure and returning to the dance floor because we kept getting such good songs. Professional, punctual, clean setup, good quality sound sound. His MC also handled every announcement smoothly without hijacking the spotlight, and did a great job building up hype, energy, and directing the flow of the event. We would hire again without thinking twice. What a great DJ MC team.

We had an incredible experience working with DJ DesiBeatz for our fusion Chinese Indian American wedding reception. From the very beginning, the team was so communicative and easy to work with. I worked closely with Kabir throughout the planning process—he answered every question, shared samples of what was possible, and made sure he fully understood the vibe we wanted. They respected our do-not-play list, incorporated our preferred songs, and absolutely nailed the overall mood we envisioned: a perfect blend of Hindi + American millennial (2000s), some 70s/80s classics, fast/hype moments, and just a couple slow songs at the right time. On the day of, the MC was amazing—super communicative with both me and our venue coordinator to ensure everything flowed smoothly and aligned with our timeline. My family, guests, and I were thrilled with the music and services. We received so many compliments on everything, from the DJ and MC, fun photobooth with many props and good quality prints, to the beautiful 72” LED screen that showcased photos of my husband, me, and our families. One of my absolute favorite parts was the dhol player—he brought incredible energy and such a special touch to the night. It truly elevated the celebration. I highly recommend DJ DesiBeatz. They made our reception unforgettable!

He was the first one onsite for set-up and helped with schedule and gave live recommendations on the day of the events. Whatever I say is not enough for how accomadating and proffessional Kabir is. From the first call, he was super friendly, responsive and willing to help make the event the way we want it. I think we had a pretty complex evening with need for live streaming, some pre recorded speeches and need for projector, but he made it seem all natural and simple. Wow, wow, wow, and one more time for the people in the back: WOW!!! DJ Kabir was everything and more we could have hoped for (and I was a wedding DJ for a spell so the expectations were high). We had a DIY reception-only affair (courthouse wedding last year), so we were looking for the music to not just be a mood setter, but capture bits of ourselves and our families. We wanted a little bit of all the good stuff, so much so it was almost hard to nail down a playlist. What would work, what won’t? Whats too niche or too new or to old gahhh!! This is where Kabir came in. His kind and warm demeanor really made us feel we were in good hands. He was available for any questions and was even kind enough to do a site visit beforehand. And then the day came. Firstly, what a set up! The lighting, the ambience! Secondly, what care! Kabir indulged us with a garba set that was supposed to be 15 miniutes and went 30. And then, MC Ishpreet! What an addition to the party. As Kabir tore up the floor, Ish’s dhol just amped up to the max. And what else to say? We danced and danced and danced. Every song was a banger, every beat felt like the apex. It wasn’t until days afterward looking at all of the fun videos from the night of people on the dancefloor we realized, “Damn our wedding really was an epic party.” All owed to Kabir and his team! He was wonderful to work with and personalized the playlist to include some of our favorites. He also attended the venue walkthroughs with us to help us plan the layout and also help us think through elements unrelated to audio. We danced for 3 straight hours and so did our guests ?across ages 3 to 80. Ankur, the dholi, brought in amazing energy and was a unique element to our reception. The lighting was great. ?The ?photo ?booth was very well done. The props were fun and there was something for everyone. We got the photos very soon after the event, and they are a great addition to the photos from our photographer.? Having Kabir and Ankur made all the difference to our celebrations. It's an enthusiastic yes from us!

BEST DJ EVER for my Pakistani - Italian fusion wedding!! DJ Kabir is so friendly, cool and easy to work with. He made mixes for us from bollywood and western songs (not easy) for our dances and seamlessly played and blended a variety of songs at our wedding. There was not a dull moment on the dance floor. Our MC and Dhol player were also incredible and my guests are still raving about them and the awesome digital photobooth we had. Amazing timing and expressions while conducting the “Baraat on the horse”.. was training off and on soo required lot of flexibility and innovations which Raj was able to execute with supreme timing and enthusiasm!!! Whatever I say is not enough for how accomadating and proffessional Kabir is. From the first call, he was super friendly, responsive and willing to help make the event the way we want it. I think we had a pretty complex evening with need for live streaming, some pre recorded speeches and need for projector, but he made it seem all natural and simple. We recently hired Desi Beatz services and DJ Kabir was simply awesome! This was for a birthday party and he made is memorable for us. We knew the day my husband and I decided we were getting married we would pick DJ RAJ. We had heard about him from so many people and had attended parties where they DJ’ed. You would think if you hire a DJ, they will just come and DJ and that’s it. That is definitely NOT the case when you hire DJ RAJ. You hire DJ RAJ, you get everything. Best music, MC, lighting, projections, tvs… and the list goes on. From day one Raj was extremely helpful and our main point of contact for literally everything we needed. Usually any vendor would try to sell you as many things as possible, but not with DJ RAJ. He helped us save money everywhere even if it would be below our budget. That did not compromise quality ever. He made a custom package just for us exactly how we wanted it. Going in we didn’t exactly know what we wanted and who to go to. Raj has a lot of experience in this industry, which is why he is already known as one of the best. If I had a question about decorators, wedding planners, venues or even the elephant for my wedding, my first stop was him and by the second month into my wedding planning, he became my first and only stop as I saw his recommendations were the best and cost friendly. As guests were leaving our wedding, the most asked question of the day was “Oh my god. Who was your DJ?”. Honestly, I have never seen my grandmother stay on the dance floor that long. The music was amazing from start to finish and I honestly thought that was not possible. DJ RAJ killed it. He catered to my Indian relatives and to my friends and co-workers. I would never go to any other DJ after having DJ RAJ…can’t go back to anything else. In general, the baraat was perfect…from the music to the MC and dhol, we had never seen a baraat quite like this. Second, the wedding was exactly like we had imagined and even better was the reception set-up – it was everything we had imagined and more. If anyone has seen the Sheraton Mahwah ballroom, there is some revamping needed in order to get that wedding look. DJ Raj Entertainment did a fantastic job with the make over of our reception hall (which was also where the wedding was just a few hours earlier) in a quick and effective manner. No complaints, no problems and absolutely no questions. The whole process was so smooth. DJ Raj and his team are awesome. They definitely have experience, and it shows. Our guests raved about the baraat, and said it was the best they’ve attended. DJ Amlan kept our guests on the dance floor until the hotel kicked us out. If you have the money to splurge on the star-lit dance floor, DO IT!! None of our guests had seen it before and are still raving about it. The dance floor MADE the reception. I would recommend DJ Raj & team for your wedding!

MC Raj and DJ Krishna were great! They had a variety of services available (everything from DJ services to dholi to horse and more) and were very professional. They have a lot of experience and it shows. They did a wonderful job with our music and our dance floor was packed allnight! Would definitely recommend their services.

DJ RAJ & crew are the best!!!! We had a very challenging 2 days of wedding celebrations considering Raj and his team transported all the equipment and staffing of 10 from New Jersey! Despite both days with large scale production, tons of equipment and hundreds of miles away from his home base, Raj did a fantastic job, with amazing lighting, the best sound and very talented staff! Everything was on time and looked very professional!!! DJ Amlan & MC Raj did an outstanding job – we could not have asked for a more talented team. The Garba was perfect Raj provided complete backline equipment, sound, lighting DJ and MC and everything just right, my guest were blown away!! The wedding day started with a baraat, which was a VERY high energy event. Raj really got people going by calling them out on the dance area, by picking excellent songs, and by getting the crowd into the music. He even got the groom’s parents and American friends dancing, which is not an easy thing to do! That amazing energy carried all the way through the baraat which lasted a good 45 minutes. The reception went perfectly, from the entrances to the first dances, speeches, etc. We had a very dance-happy crowd composed mostly of younger people (less of the older crowd), but DJ Amlan mixed it up well so everyone loved the atmosphere. In addition to being professional, Raj has a great personality and is very easy to work with. He gives the impression of confidence and calmness, like he has planned everything out ahead of time and accounted for everything that could go wrong. This allowed us to relax a little knowing we were in good hands.

DJ Raj exceeded out expectation for our entertainment for our Pre-wedding Sangeet party, my husbands Barat Procession, and the evening DJ and Entertainment for our Ceremony and Reception. Not only was he extremely helpful months, weeks, and days leading up to our events, the music and entertainment was absolutely phenominal! We really felt like our celebrations were enjoyed by all of our family and friends because we had such an amazing DJ! We booked DJ Raj Entertainment for my sister's wedding back in 2011, and they did an amazing job. When it came to planning my wedding, my family immediately knew that we wanted to book them again! Luckily, since we booked a full year in advance, we were able to book DJ Raj himself (we had a different MC for my sister's wedding who was also excellent). DJ Raj did a great job with the lighting for both our Sangeet and Wedding. He even found a certain type of string light that I wanted for our Sangeet venue, which he didn't already have. DJ Raj also found us the BEST henna artists - I was so happy with the intricate design they did and it lasted for almost a month. Raj also helped us rent the chairs for our mandaap, since our florist wasn't able to find any for a reasonable price.

Amlan & the team at DJ RAJ Entertainment were absolutely wonderful for my wedding. They made everything from start to finish the smoothest possible, and made sure all of my guests had an amazing time. I had every single one of my friends come up to me asking for their contact information to book for future events. They are AMAZING.

We had an outstanding experience with DJ Raj and the whole crew! We got married in West Virginia which immediately limited our vendor choices and increased our budget to bring East Indian vendors to the area. We used DJ Raj for mobile baraat (730AM) and the whole crew was amazing in being flexible with timing even though they didn't DJ the wedding ceremony and had to stay for the reception (530PM). Everyone raved about the DJ and their energy and excellent choice in music. Aside from a select few songs, I put all of my trust on the skills of DJ Smith and I was ecstatic with the mixes. I could not say more good things about these guys. They are professional, fun and truly make you're special day the best possible. They are well worth the money! I would recommend them to anyone at anytime. In addition, I suggest that you opt for their LED lights because they will transform you reception!

Me and my husband loved his hybrid skills playing everything we request and of course his very own set. DJ Raj was amazing to work with as he just did our wedding from last weekend. From the start, he was professional, efficient and on top of his game. All conversations pre-wedding were a pleasure and he definitely provided some helpful tips on what would be best for the song list and ceremony we were looking for. At the wedding, DJ Raj and his team which included a Dhol were the best! They got everyone pumped up and they played the best music especially for a typical Punjabi wedding. They always balanced the night with great American songs and the rhythm of the whole day was just so fluid. I never had to worry about them the whole night. It’s like they came in and left as total professionals. Totally Recommend!
