Hands down the best DJ/host we’ve had at any event! The baby shower games were so creative—photo trivia, green light red light, baby charades—each one was a total crowd-pleaser and nothing like the usual stuff. Friends giving and a mehfil that will be truly remembered due the efforts of Vinay and Aparna from Mehete Sur. They had a unique way to become one of us (mind you we are middle school friends in our fifties) getting us all involved and even getting people with two left feet dance away. Attended a 75th birthday part for a doctor friend and Mehekte Sur was the entertainer. We were all on the floor for over 2 hours on their Live singing and did not even feel the need for a DJ. The best thing was that they were on the flooor dancing with us. I have never seen anything like this before.

Vinay recently hosted my daughter’s 5th birthday party and we all had a blast. He is a really good dj and anchor. He took great care to get to know us and curated the event as per my preference and played my daughter’s favorite songs. My 5 yr old enjoyed a full 4 hr event and dint get tired all thanks to him. He handled the entire event with ease and the crowd loved him. He had all the kids on the floor , conducted games for us and finally all adults also had a great time on the dance floor. It’s tricky to handle a kids party and entertain kids and adults alike. Can’t recommend him enough. ??

They sang old Hindi Bollywood songs, as well as Marathi, Gujrati and Bengali. Truly versatile singers who could sing old and new songs both. We recently celebrated our 25h anniversary and I am happy to share that Mehekte Sur jodi did an amazing job with the Live singing and emcee services. They did a great job with Telugu & Bollywood DJ set. The highlight of the evening was their vocal performance and they also sang a Telugu song for us. Over this past Memorial Day weekend (May 26, 2024) I gave my mom a surprise birthday party for her 75th. Pre-planned everything a month ahead of time. For some reason I could not find the type of entertainment that I was looking for in the Southern California area. Vinay recently hosted my daughter’s 5th birthday party and we all had a blast. He is a really good dj and anchor. He took great care to get to know us and curated the event as per my preference and played my daughter’s favorite songs. My 5 yr old enjoyed a full 4 hr event and dint get tired all thanks to him. He handled the entire event with ease and the crowd loved him. He had all the kids on the floor , conducted games for us and finally all adults also had a great time on the dance floor. It’s tricky to handle a kids party and entertain kids and adults alike. Can’t recommend him enough

Friends giving and a mehfil that will be truly remembered due the efforts of Vinay and Aparna from Mehete Sur. They had a unique way to become one of us (mind you we are middle school friends in our fifties) getting us all involved and even getting people with two left feet dance away. They both have great voices and more so the warmth and love they sing with. The range of songs from 1950 to 2022 they covered favourites and they truly became the jaan of our get together. This is one amazing Jodi! We connected so well in the initial conversation regarding my event, that I just had to find a way to make it work for them to sing in Chicago for my friends and family. We are big music enthusiasts so having them at our event really energized everyone in the room, from my 2 year old to my father in law and his senior friends. Saw them last night at Samudra in NJ. Have been hearing them on and off for a while but this was the first time that we heard them in close quarters. Their singing and confidence is par excellence. They have such a broad range in their voices that they can sing songs from several decades. My favorites are the songs from 60s and 70s.

Awesome experience. We hired Mehekte Sur to perform at our sangeet event. The cross cultural nature of our marriage made it all the more challenging. They were a big hit! Their warm and easy personality made it effortless to work with them as we created our sangeet event timeline and selected music. The most important thing to us was keeping everyone engaged and on the dance floor when the DJ played his music. Vinay and Aparna were able to provide a great sangeet experience,which also included traditional Punjabi live singing, for our diverse guests (Indian, non Indian, young, old) . The music and MCing for the entrances and dances was seamless and once the dance floor opened up, people were there the entire time! We also used his services for the “Step&Repeat” photo booth which turned out really well. We highly recommend DJ RAJ Entertainment & Event Lighting!!

We knew the day my husband and I decided we were getting married we would pick DJ RAJ. We had heard about him from so many people and had attended parties where they DJ’ed. You would think if you hire a DJ, they will just come and DJ and that’s it. That is definitely NOT the case when you hire DJ RAJ. You hire DJ RAJ, you get everything. Best music, MC, lighting, projections, tvs… and the list goes on. From day one Raj was extremely helpful and our main point of contact for literally everything we needed. Usually any vendor would try to sell you as many things as possible, but not with DJ RAJ. He helped us save money everywhere even if it would be below our budget. That did not compromise quality ever. He made a custom package just for us exactly how we wanted it. Going in we didn’t exactly know what we wanted and who to go to. Raj has a lot of experience in this industry, which is why he is already known as one of the best. If I had a question about decorators, wedding planners, venues or even the elephant for my wedding, my first stop was him and by the second month into my wedding planning, he became my first and only stop as I saw his recommendations were the best and cost friendly. As guests were leaving our wedding, the most asked question of the day was “Oh my god. Who was your DJ?”. Honestly, I have never seen my grandmother stay on the dance floor that long. The music was amazing from start to finish and I honestly thought that was not possible. DJ RAJ killed it. He catered to my Indian relatives and to my friends and co-workers. I would never go to any other DJ after having DJ RAJ…can’t go back to anything else. In general, the baraat was perfect…from the music to the MC and dhol, we had never seen a baraat quite like this. Second, the wedding was exactly like we had imagined and even better was the reception set-up – it was everything we had imagined and more. If anyone has seen the Sheraton Mahwah ballroom, there is some revamping needed in order to get that wedding look. DJ Raj Entertainment did a fantastic job with the make over of our reception hall (which was also where the wedding was just a few hours earlier) in a quick and effective manner. No complaints, no problems and absolutely no questions. The whole process was so smooth. If you’re looking for a company that will not only make your wedding look like it’s straight out of a movie, but also one that cares about you and your guests and is extremely easy to work with, look no further. I wanted the absolute BEST for our wedding and I knew that DJ Raj Entertainment would provide the best entertainment / music that I was looking for my event. The minute I contacted Raj, with my brothers help, everything was seamless. Raj knew what I wanted and gave me nothing other for my event. Every question / concern / change I had was answered promptly by Raj. The DJ & event manager for my event was Amlan and the entire crew were ABSOLUTELY AMAZING. Amlan heard everything I wanted, every detail, and made sure of that till the end of my event. Every song we requested beforehand was played by Amlan. DJ Raj and his team are awesome. They definitely have experience, and it shows. Our guests raved about the baraat, and said it was the best they’ve attended. DJ Amlan kept our guests on the dance floor until the hotel kicked us out. If you have the money to splurge on the star-lit dance floor, DO IT!! None of our guests had seen it before and are still raving about it. The dance floor MADE the reception. I would recommend DJ Raj & team for your wedding!

MC Raj and DJ Krishna were great! They had a variety of services available (everything from DJ services to dholi to horse and more) and were very professional. They have a lot of experience and it shows. They did a wonderful job with our music and our dance floor was packed allnight! Would definitely recommend their services.
