Hired DJ Sodhi for our reception and he was a total hit!! He made sure to play the right songs for our entrances (and last song of the night). Sahil and his team were great! He was very clear and upfront with the packages available and their corresponding prices and could modify a package to fit our needs. He set up video calls with us and gave us plenty of time to think about our music choices for the wedding. We really appreciated the other wedding tips he gave us as well, even non-music related. Very responsive over email and Whatsapp. The sound set up and execution was very smooth for our ceremony and reception. There was a small technical issue that could have been avoided at the reception, but they worked quickly to fix it, and we could adjust around it. Sahil kept the energy up and our guests had an amazing time dancing at the reception.

Well brides & grooms, we see a lot of entertainment companies come theu our doors at The Roostertail BUT, I will tell you, this husband wife team are beautiful; they come fully staffed, they set up early to trouble shoot any problems, Riddiah is the most soft spoken but well veresed I’ve spoken to in years! They can do anything from low lying fog, indoor sparklers, coordinating, scheduling everything is available for services! We had such a great experience…. Sugar Events and Entertainment was, hands down, our favorite vendor for the weekend! My wife and I are both low-key people, with highly involved professional lives, so we were hoping to have a DJ and entertainment crew that could meet our needs leading up to the wedding, keep things stress free, and would be flexible with our schedule. Right off the get go, Sahil and his crew were friendly, professional, detail-oriented, and very organized. He met us at our budget point, and worked with us to customize toward what we wanted within our budget. We needed some direction as we were taking a non-traditional approach to our Indian wedding, and Sahil and Riddhi stepped in where they could to say I've seen that before or you may want to discuss that with your families -- honesty that goes a long way! In the months before the wedding, they created a minute-by-minute blueprint for the events, scripts for what they would be doing or saying, questions directed to us to make sure the flow goes well, and most importantly, suggestions on ways to make our vision of our wedding come to life. The Baraat was a hit. The wedding flowed smoothly with Riddhi's day of coordination. The wedding song playlist was customized to mine and my wife's favorite songs, and was a hit. The reception photobooth was a hit. But, most importantly, our reception was the big hit. Sahil and his team made sure that our dancefloor was packed (literally nonstop) from the moment speeches ended until we were kicked out of our venue! I rarely see a full dancefloor without lulls at a wedding reception, but we were thrilled that ours was one of them as he accomodated our guests requests sampled from an online submission form weeks in advance and took our requests to balance Bollywood, Bhangra, Top 40, and 90-00s Hip-Hop. We can't say enough good things about Sahil, Riddhi, and Sugar Events and Entertainment. DJ Sahil DJed and emceed my sister’s Sangeet (musical dancing event), Baarat, Wedding, and Reception. Before the event, he came to meetings prepared with scripts we could customize for the different events and kept us on track in terms of picking music and mixes for our dances and entrances. He was very accommodating of any requests and brought ideas to the table that we would have forgotten if Sahil hadn't brought them up. Sahil and his team (the dholi) was phenomenal at bringing the energy of the crowd up and keeping everyone engaged. Being a Christian-Hindu wedding, Sahil was really enthusiastic and great at keeping the dance floor happy with a mix of Indian and American music that matched the energy of the guests. When guests requested songs, Sahil accommodated requests, but also made sure not to play the types of songs that we had specially told him not to play beforehand. At the end of the reception which was planned for 11pm, my mom wanted to keep the party going to 12am and Sahil was flexible staying for another hour at a last minute request to not disappoint the guests. Overall, once we signed with Sugar Events and Entertainment, we did not need to worry at all about the DJ aspect of the wedding; they were very organized and took care of everything from start to finish. We will definitely be working with Sugar Events and Entertainment any time we have another event!

We had Sahil and his team for our Wedding and that was one of the best decisions that we ever made. To start things of, Sahil was always available and responsive on call and chat months in advance prior to the event. They even planned minutes by minute detailed plan of the event to an extent we couldn’t even imagine. The song mix and everything was so smooth, and all the setup done by Sahil with up lights and everything was just perfect like in the movies. Would recommend him any day of the week.

Sahil and Riddhi really went above and beyond to make sure everyone had the best time at our events. So many people came up to lance and i to tell us how amazing our DJ team was. From holding my lehenga so I could get on stage, making a very very last minute song switch, to riling up the crowd up and making our reception and sangeet HYPE. I wish I could do this weekend over again just to party with sugar events. 100/10 would recommend.

Sahil Mehta Sugar Events& Entertainment was our DJ for the event. It’s a large venue with high ceilings and yet Sahil did a fantastic job with the set up which allowed us to enjoy best quality music. We had requested American as well as Indian dance music which he delivered with flying colors. The energy never went down, and the music never got boring. Sahil and Riddhi were amazing to work with. They were super helpful and gave us a lot of tips and guidance for our destination wedding in Cancun. They are very detailed orientated which was great for us as they took care of every request we had. They are really easy to work with and go out of their way to help out. Sahil set up meetings with us months in advance to make sure we had open communication regarding our timeline, and he was able to answer all of our questions in a timely fashion. We had Sugar Events and Entertainment for Friday night sangeet and Saturday night wedding in Detroit. The interactions leading to the wedding were very good for planning with Sahil and Rohit. Sahil and Krupesh absolutely killed it at our wedding in Cancun! They played all the best music that had EVERYONE (even my 80 year old grandmother) on the dance floor! Working with them was so effortless, as a bride this was the one thing I did not have to worry about at all. Sugar Events and Entertainment crushed it on our big day! From the first meeting, Sahil was very organized and professional to work with. He talked us through his different packages of DJ/MC/party services, and we ended up hiring him for DJ and MC, as well as lights, indoor sparkler fireworks, a manned photo station, and fog machine. Sahil used his DJ TV screen to show off our wedding logo during the reception! He met with us several times over the months to plan the events for every part of our reception, including grand entrances, speeches, dances, and more. In addition, Sahil stayed in touch throughout via text, always sharing thoughts and ideas about different parts of the wedding. Sahil gave us lots of music suggestions to work with with and made it easy for us to add our own songs to the mix. Our reception ended up being so much fun! Vendor met expectations and maintained flexibility throughout changes in program

Through a cancelled venue, re-planned events, and personal tragedy, Sugar Events remained extremely professional. They aided more than just DJing the best party ever; they offered help with timelines, advice, and advanced planning meetings. Night of, no one ever left the dance floor, five straight hours of jumping and dancing. The dohl drummer they hired was the best anyone had ever heard. Their DJ and MC skills are unmatched. The sparklers were a must, adding excitement to the entrance and first dance and kicking off the event in style. We have gotten feedback that this was the best wedding of all time! Definitely hire them for your party if you are looking for a hype and happy dance floor!

Sahil and Riddhi made my sister’s wedding absolutely unforgettable! Sahil and his crew were incredibly organized and made sure to get my sister’s preferences on songs, timings, etc. weeks before the events and would give reminders to keep us on track. They provided a lot of detailed documents of everything that would be happening/who was participating, and that made it incredibly helpful especially since this was our first immediate family wedding. He had a great arrangement of songs and ensured everyone on the dance floor was having a good time. The dance floor was never empty and we really appreciate the crew playing a variety of genres for everyone, especially with the diversity in the wedding. Sahil and his crew accommodated all of our requests on speeches, dances, entrance songs, and it truly made the whole reception come together. She kept track of all the little details (signs, handouts, head coverings, cake knife, venue decorations, seating assignments, entrance orders, much much more that I am missing) and was at our house bright and early to make sure everyone left on time. The music/dance party at our engagement party was truly the highlight of the evening! Sahil and his team did a very thorough job of making sure there was a minute-by-minute plan for the whole evening and helped create a structure to our event that was both flexible and still really fun! Sugar events were honestly the best decision we made to help us make our wedding day nothing short of perfect. Riddhi, Nami, and Riddhi were absolutely amazing, I cannot thank them enough for making our day stress free and absolutely enjoyable for us. I have been to countless weddings with coordinators, but the type of services that these ladies provided us with were unmatched to any other. From reminding my groom and I to drink water at smaller time intervals, to giving me their pair of shoes because I could not get my heels on with my wedding lehenga, their services were so personalized, they were our friends rather than a vendor to us. They also were amazing in getting my groom and I drinks and food for our reception too, usually I have never seen coordinators do that but like I said these ladies went above and beyond. The day of our wedding it was pouring outside at around 3 AM and our coordinator Riddhi Patel was honestly up since then or maybe even before tracking the rain, their responsibility honestly starts at around 6 AM when they arrive at the venue, but for us they started earlier than even we were up in order to make sure she coordinated with our decorators for our outdoor ceremony set-up, she was by our side stressing, but at the end of the day she was able to manage and coordinate everything for our outdoor ceremony. Additionally, even leading up to the event, we had countless calls and back and forth text messages in order to figure out every minute detail and I have to admit, we got to incorporate every little detail we asked for in a timely fashion. I would recommend Sugar events for anyone who is looking for a friend-like, detail-oriented, and compassionate services for the day of their wedding, they are absolutely amazing and nothing short of perfect for us. I will always hands-down recommend them because I can blindly trust their services and their dedication to their clients!

Us and our guests had the best time at the wedding and this was in large part due to the music and the amazing DJ/MC skills Rohit has. He was able to read the crowd really well and played the best music to get everyone out on the dancefloor. He got everyone out to the dancefloor 4 nights in a row and also DJed some of the religious events and the baraat in between. There were many times when we thought that we didn't have enough time to pull it off, but Sahil and Riddhi made it easy. Starting with Riddhi: even though we hired her only as a partial wedding planner/day-of coordinator, Riddhi kicked in with helpful vendor recommendations immediately, from florists and caterers to finding someone who could expertly tie the groom's turban for our ceremony. Riddhi clearly had immense knowledge and experience of the South Asian wedding industry in Dearborn/Detroit, and this was invaluable to us in our expedited planning process. As the date of the wedding approached, Riddhi kicked in with helpful coordination calls to keep us on track. In the weeks leading up to the wedding, Riddhi fully kicked in and took on coordinating directly with the vendors, and our families. On the wedding day, Riddhi took on various tasks to ensure that the day went seamlessly, from driving the bride to our first look to staying at the venue till 1AM helping the bride's mom tear down her DIY decor. She took pains to make sure that we were having a blast at the wedding and that everything went off without a hitch. Going on to Sahil, our DJ: from the start Sahil impressed us by knowing exactly how to approach our fusion (Cuban/Pakistani) wedding vibes. He was able to help us strike the music and MC balance perfectly. Sahil also offered a fantastic barat package, making the barat the most memorable part of the wedding and an incredible way to kick off the festivities. Half of our guests had never seen a barat, however Sahil expertly walked guests through the customs while getting the crowd excited to participate. The package also included a bhangra dance group performance, with the performers being extremely talented and professional. Lastly, and perhaps most importantly, the MCing and flow of both the ceremony and reception was flawless, with us and our families not having to lift a finger. We could not be more thrilled with our experience with Sahil and Riddhi. They were instrumental to pulling off a beautiful and flawlessly executed wedding in just three months, without even being full-time wedding planners. We couldn't have done it without them and we are endlessly grateful for their guidance and hard work. We contracted with Sahil for our son’s wedding reception music needs. Sahil was absolutely a delight to work with - very courteous, had the experience needed for a White/Indian fusion wedding and was always available to quickly answer questions! DJ Kru (Krupesh) was great to work with. He gave us lots of song recommendations to choose for various parts of our day. He tailored the music to our guests and was very flexible with song choices -- we had a mix of American, Indian, and Chinese songs! He and his team worked well with the priest, the drummer for the baraat, and our photographer team. He gave great suggestions for how to coordinate certain events -- like getting everyone on the dance floor for a group photo! He was also very flexible on the day of the event -- taking song requests and adjusting timings when certain events ran longer than expected. If we had to reach out to him, he was very responsive on WhatsApp, and we were able to coordinate everything with Zoom and Google Docs.

Sahil is an excellent DJ that I would strongly recommend to any bride. He is very organized, has a great attitude and high energy, and is flexible and works with you to create your vision. Sahil and his team at Sugar Events were simply awesome! They provided DJ services for three events over two days for our wedding and went above and beyond our expectations. They were very engaged with us from when we contracted them all the way up until our wedding. Sahil set up regular check-ins to discuss timelines, song requests, and other general items that make any wedding a success. We especially appreciated their song suggestions for our entrances and helping us put together mixes for our friends and families to do choreographed dances with. Additionally, Sahil was very thorough in making sure all songs were of the highest quality. Him and his team arrived and setup at our venue in a timely manner and made sure there was enough time to test the different mixes put together and fine tune sounds for the room. Aside from DJ services, they also provided up lighting for the ballroom led by their lighting engineer Sagar. It’s not something we had considered when were initially planning our wedding but I’m glad it was there as it added an elevated look for our reception and set the mood for the night. I definitely recommend this service! Overall, Sugar Events was great to work with and we are so happy with how everything went. They are extremely reliable, thorough, easy to work with, and most importantly - keep the dance floor packed until closing!

Sahil was an incredible DJ and MC for our sangeet, baraat and reception. He was extremely organized in the months leading up to the event. I don't have enough words to say why you should hire Sugar Events but I'll do my best. Sahil and Riddhi have such a professional team and business and they go out of their way to make sure you have the event of your dreams. They are extremely organized and keep you on track for what needs to happen. They are also incredibly kind and caring people who want your event to be the best event possible. Sugar has done coordination and DJ services for both weddings in my family. They were so good and so thoughtful that even my parents adore Sahil and Riddhi like their own children. He played a mix before our Sangeet officially started that is literally the best mix I've ever hear! He also emceed our reception and did a great job. Seriously, hire Sugar. You won't regret it.

Sahil and his team were wonderful throughout the two days of events we booked! We had multiple meetings leading up to our wedding to confirm everything was organized. Since we are an interracial couple. Sahil made sure to play a wonderful mix of music from both of our backgrounds and kept the dance floor full all night. We used Sugar Events for their DJ and coordination team for our wedding week July 26,28,29. We couldn’t have asked for a better team. They helped run everything smoothly. From the beginning of the planning process, Sahil and his team were so personable and accommodating with our needs and wants. He made us comfortable and was very reasonable. The document sent to us to plan the days and the details of each day was well organized. Riddhi (coordination) FaceTimed us countless times to go over little details and over the document to make sure everything was clear. Even when things didn’t go to plan during the events, they made sure it still all ran smoothly. Our guests and ourselves didn’t even notice when something wasn’t to plan. Sahil is so experienced in fusion weddings that he ensured both cultures felt included. The music was the best and there was never an empty dance floor moment. Sahil continuously answered my texts and ensured all my questions were answered (even though I probably asked the same question multiple times). They coordinated with my sister for 8 months and were able to work with her to create the best, most fun week of our lives! My family is notorious for being late. Riddhi was able to handle my family so well and made sure everyone was on time. She showed up to my house at 7:30 AM and basically kicked everyone out of my house in order for us to make it to the ceremony on time. Without her, I probably wouldn’t have been married on time. Riddhi was also able to handle me well. I get very time stressed and she kept me calm and was always communicating with me. Her team also made sure my husband and I were fed and hydrated throughout the events. My husband and I can’t recommend and thank Sahil, Riddhi and their team enough. Without them, I would’ve genuinely become a bridezilla and they didn’t let that happen. They truly became friends by the end of our wedding. Can't say enough good things about Magic Mike. He is an amazing person and very professional. He was the DJ at our wedding reception, Sangeet and mehendi and his work was outstanding. I love the fact that he is so up to date with the current trends and music, he was very punctual and set up everything well before the guest arrived. He is full of creative ideas on how to make your party stand out and be the talk of the town. Some of my friends and relatives still talk about the music and lighting at my wedding. He had the ability to transform any space into beautiful masterpiece with his lighting. He is a wonderful person to work with and I would highly recommend him!

Magic Mike recently Deejayed my 40th birthday party and he made the party rock...All my friends are still talking about how great the party was as we danced into the wee hours! Mike is a seasoned DJ with all the latest as well as old music and seems to know what the crowd likes, he has actually been at most of my family's events for over 20 years now. He certainly knows how to set up any party room for the most effective display of lighting and sound. The hallmark of a great DJ is the gauging of the party crowd and mood - he certainly excels in that field. He can liven up the room in a matter of minutes. The most comforting factor with Mike is that he is genuinely a part of your event, unlike other DJs I have seen who are there just to perform their services and be done as quickly as possible. Mike actually works with you to make your event successful.

Don't think twice about booking Magic Mike! He made our reception a wonderful, happy, fun event for everyone to remember! We have absolutely no complaints, and only tons of compliments about the awesome ambience he created with the rest of his team for our special night - and I think my husband and I danced pretty much constantly (along with a packed dance floor) for almost two hours straight, because each tune was better than the rest :) And we had a multicultural wedding (I'm indian, and grew up in the Caribbean, my husband is German), and Mike made an effort to represent all of our different types of music so everyone had something to relate to. Now we need to come up with another reason just to have a party so we can have him DJ again! Thanks again, Mike!

Magic Mike (from NJ) was professional with his demeanor but I expected more quality for someone so experienced and who came recommended by our vendor, the Rockleigh Country Club. On the day of the wedding, he asked me to switch the placement of the first dance and did not seem too happy about us not agreeing with him. Songs for certain events were skipped, misplayed, and at one point three different songs played for the wrong part of the reception. He also asked me for more details about a song that was to play during a solo dance right before my reception on the day of the wedding!! Which btw, he started to play, then cut, and restarted. My poor cousin still held it together and just restarted the whole dance. He had what looked like a 13 yr. old manning the dj station while he was mcing. AND the monogram I created and gave him was all SKEWED on the dance floor- ugh - that looks so bad in pictures! He did some cool things during the party like throw streamers and he has a good voice, and played our dance list fairly close to what we wanted. But, he never played our last song.

He was on time and very professional. Music and mixing of music was awsome. Great light show. Dance floor was packed!!;Did not stick with our Do not play list songs.

We met with a lot of DJs, including a lot of prima donnas. Even though we met with Magic Mike and liked his confident laid back style, on a friend's recommendation we initially decided to go with a younger and 'hipper' DJ. Pretty soon it was obvious to us that the so called 'hip' DJ was all about himself and not about our wedding. We decided to ask Mike if he was still available to DJ our wedding and he was! Mike was a great listener, gave us great ideas and very flexible. He showed up the day of the wedding on time and fully prepared. Mike kept the entire program on schedule and did not need any direction. We were totally hands off and he delivered just as you would want a great DJ to. The music was great and everyone was on the dance floor. We were really happy with our choice.

We had a cross cultural Swedish-Indian wedding and Mike delivered way beyond our expectations! All our guests from all over the world loved the DJ show and how Mike got the dance floor pumping. Everything from planning to execution was great! The only place I will give a 4 is for responsiveness but I guess I probably have higher than average demands due to my job.

We hired DJ Magic Mike for our barat, wedding and reception at Westmount Country Club on May 2013. My fiancé had prior experience with him as his brother had also hired him for his wedding and reception a few years back. Based on their positive experience, we decided to meet with him to discuss our event. One thing that separates DJ Magic Mike from all other DJ's (and we met with MANY DJ's) is his low pressure personality. He listens to your needs and never pushes more expensive or unnecessary packages onto you which ALMOST ALL other DJ's will do. He is very easy to get along with and very flexible which is so crucial especially as the big day approaches. We had an idea of exactly how we wanted our event to flow but Mike had also made some excellent suggestions in our planning to make the event flow even smoother. However, no matter how friendly and easy going a DJ is, it doesn't mean a thing if the music is not up to par. And this is where DJ Magic Mike really excelled. We had given him a sample of certain songs we wished to have played and he did an excellent job mixing in our songs with songs our guests really enjoyed. We were dancing all night long and our guests raved about the music. Thank you DJ Magic Mike for a wonderful experience. I can honestly say this was the easiest decision of all my wedding vendors.

Magic Mike is the man. While we thought DJ'ing an Indian-Puerto Rican would have been difficult, he nailed it right on the mark. He met with myself and my wife on several occasions to go over the style of music and lighting we were looking for, showing numerous pictures and videos of his events as examples. He's a very patient and kind hearted down to earth guy who really took his time and effort well above what we expected. He knew exactly what to play and how to mix the various styles of PR and Indian music with some 90s rock and pop and current hits. A sort of mixologist for DJ'ing, this is the guy you want if you want people dancing from the very start of your event. The lighting and visuals he provides are high quality and up to date, all of which he set up perfectly. Since it was primarily an Indian wedding, there has a horse on which I rode in on. Magic Mike provided that as a service and let me tell you, that horse was no joke and as beautiful a horse as I could've asked for to ride to my soon to be wife. He also provided 3 belly dancers all of which were very professional and got people dancing very early into the reception. Later that year, we went to another wedding and was pleasantly surprised to find out that he was DJ'ing. It was just as amazing being a guest at a wedding he was playing at as it was being the bride and groom at ours. He even made a surprise appearance at the after party in the hotel! People still talk about how good the music was at our wedding. He's definitely played a major role in making our event a memorable one. The man clearly has a passion for what he does and it 100% shows in the quality of service he provides from start to finish.
