Vinay recently hosted my daughter’s 5th birthday party and we all had a blast. He is a really good dj and anchor. He took great care to get to know us and curated the event as per my preference and played my daughter’s favorite songs. My 5 yr old enjoyed a full 4 hr event and dint get tired all thanks to him. He handled the entire event with ease and the crowd loved him. He had all the kids on the floor , conducted games for us and finally all adults also had a great time on the dance floor. It’s tricky to handle a kids party and entertain kids and adults alike. Can’t recommend him enough. ??

The baby shower games were so creative—photo trivia, green light red light, baby charades—each one was a total crowd-pleaser and nothing like the usual stuff. Jeetu was amazing! We had an interracial wedding with a Hindu ceremony in Asheville, NC and he assisted with a wide range of tasks over the course of several hours. He first assisted with tying our safas (headgear) for several men in advance of the wedding ceremony. He then played the dhol (indian musical instrument) for our baraat (indian wedding processional with dancing) prior to our ceremony. Finally, he played the tablas (indian musical instrument) during our cocktail hour set list and even did an impromptu collaboration with violin/cello instrumentalists for 2 more Hindi songs. We could not be happier with his performance and broad musical range!

We thought there was an art show on Mother's day. There was nothing. Disappointed, but walked along and viewed the paintings on the fenceline.

Rained when I went but enjoyed the two shops I was able to go in and loved the art Gallery. Hopefully next time I visit VA Beach there will be more out there.

October 2020: We saw some really good artwork here in the ViBe Creative District.

The Vibe District is so cool with all the murals the city had artists paint on the buildings. In this COVID environment, it’s a nice place to walk around, enjoy the atmosphere, and feel safe.

Large exterior wall murals are popular throughout the USA and the ViveDistrict offers Virginia Beach, Virginia contributions. Several skilled ARTists have left their skillful mark for visitors to “WOW!” at. Watching an ARTist’s vision progress from a blank wall canvas to a line sketch to a fully completed work-of-ART is amazing. The Vibe District in Va Beach is home to just about anything you could ever want or need amazing restaurants, shops, art, hand crafted merchandise, houses of worship, home to Wareing’s Gym the oldest and best gym in America, Bio Mechanical Physical Therapy to help keep you moving forward and don’t forget the boardwalk and beach!!!

Planning a return trip !

A fun place to walk around if you want a leisurely stroll. Recommend starting at the Museum of Contemporary Art to check out the latest exhibit and then walking to one of the many coffee shops or cafes before exploring the art galleries and shops. The murals are nice, but spread apart so if you aren’t in good health you may want to skip this.

I am always on the hunt for beautiful street art. Was so pleased so find a whole Vibe arts district where street art is celebrated.

I was at the oceanfront for an appointment and afterwards I decided to take a little cruise to the creative vibe district. It was a good idea it certainly live in the area. I drove through not the entire area, but I plan to go back for a walking trip very soon. I noticed some artwork had signatures others I didn't notice them maybe I just overlooked it I've never looked or checked to see if this is done in any other cities but I think it's such a good idea I would be curious to know if anyone followed aura possibly where the idea came from when Virginia Beach made theirs. There are a lot of restaurants throughout that area as well as well as housing, fire, rescue and police on spot.

I was there off season on a Tuesday. A lot was closed. If your really into checking out murals Def worth a trip. If not, just a dingy downtown w a lot of murals.

DJ RKG is the man, and one of the most professional vendors I’ve worked with. He DJed my North Indian x South Indian x Jewish wedding celebration of 400+ people. Here’s what makes RKG a great DJ: Accessible & communicative - DJ RKG always responded to my questions and requests immediately, even when he was traveling. He was willing to jump on a call whenever needed. I always felt like a priority, though I know he had lots of other things on his plate. Adaptable - As is true with any wedding, things evolved during the months leading up to the event and even the night before the event. Rahul was willing to make a change with no fuss, and even provided advice on event flow, MCing, etc when we needed it. Trustworthy & Resourceful - When we needed additional mics or screens, Rahul was able to source quotes and options for us. He helped us find a dhol player who was fantastic and knew how to work a crowd, at a very fair rate. Even when I needed help with things completely unrelated to DJing like decor, DJ RKG provided reputable recommendations. He showed up ahead of time and ready to go. Fun - DJ RKG lit up the dance floor. He knew the exact right music to play - we got compliments from our guests on the music choices. He offered the opportunity for us to come up to the DJ booth. The DJ had a great voice, smooth transitions, and used the sparklers well, keeping everything on schedule. However, he started the music too early more than once even after told. The transition music also caused confusion, as it sounded like full songs rather than background cues. The biggest part we didn’t like was that the songs we wanted played from the playlist we shared and told him to play were not played. Overall, the performance had strong execution but needed better communication and clarity with music cues.

Our venue had limited space for the guests to dance and the music to play, but Sorab and his crew not only made it work but made it so much fun. We had a substantial number of guests who had never been to a baraat before but they caught the energy from Shirose, and we lost count of the number of people who told us afterwards how great a time they had. They provided audio equipment and music services for the Hindu wedding ceremony as well, and they did an equally phenomenal job. Shirose is great. Threw a party for my dad’s 50th and I had Jaimin as the MC, Krishna as the DJ. They did absolutely great and got everyone engaged. They swapped within Hindi, Telugu, and English. Shirose Entertainment and DJ Ehta were a pleasure to work with. My club at Rutgers University hosted a charity formal where we hired Shirose Entertainment and we were blown away. Attended a 75th birthday part for a doctor friend and Mehekte Sur was the entertainer. We were all on the floor for over 2 hours on their Live singing and did not even feel the need for a DJ. I would love to have them at another event. It was the best decision we made to book them for our event.

Each and every guest was so engaged and happy thanks to Vinay’s anchoring skills. They even dressed up for the party and Aparna’s get up was one of the best. Amazing voices and choice of songs that went perfectly with our theme. Very professional and coordinated with us during the planning as well

Vinay recently hosted my daughter’s 5th birthday party and we all had a blast. He is a really good dj and anchor. He took great care to get to know us and curated the event as per my preference and played my daughter’s favorite songs. My 5 yr old enjoyed a full 4 hr event and dint get tired all thanks to him. He handled the entire event with ease and the crowd loved him. He had all the kids on the floor , conducted games for us and finally all adults also had a great time on the dance floor. It’s tricky to handle a kids party and entertain kids and adults alike. Can’t recommend him enough. ??

We had invited the group “Mehekte Sur” for my in-laws 50th marriage anniversary celebrations. Husband wife duo were fantastic singers. They sang old Hindi Bollywood songs, as well as Marathi, Gujrati and Bengali. Truly versatile singers who could sing old and new songs both. They were amazing at engaging the guests, by making it fun and interactive function. All the seniors got on the dance floor and it was really special and we made some amazing memories. Thank you Aparna and Vinay. Thrilled to find out that have an entire band for weddings also.

I was a photographer at one of the events that Mehekte Sur were performing at and they were great! They create such a warm and lively atmosphere for everyone to enjoy and were amazing at catering their songs to match the crowd's likes. They were funny and did a great job interacting with the crowd too!

As the President of the Jain Jagruti association, I have had the pleasure of working with Vinay & Aparna. They are extremely professional and very passionate. Though we have hired them several times, they make sure that each time the contents are fresh and different and the members are fully engaged during the entire evening. Mehekte Sur did a wonderful event at our friends parents wedding anniversary. The couple was very professional and kept everyone engaged. Everyone had a chance to sing when they started a fun interactive kareoke session. Thanks I will definitely consider them for future events.

Great selection of songs, great energy throughout the party and Vinay was really interacting with everyone in the party and making sure everyone is involved in the party. I was the photographer for an event where vinay was managing. There were 3-4 games where literally everyone from the guests played and kudos to vinay for including in them.

Vinay and Aparna have been close friends for over 25 years. It’s a sheer delight watching this lovely couple blossom into star performers. I have had a chance to do a couple of ghazal shows with them too. They are so in tune with the times and are able to bring a unique combination of old and new, tailoring memorable performances for their audiences. I recently watched them perform at a friend’s daughter’s graduation party. Vinay was the MC entertaining the crowd with a wide variety of old and new songs, tailored to the audience’s tastes and requests, while Aparna was singing one hit after the other in her mellifluous voice! This was a surprise 75th birthday celebration. MEHEKTE Sur was awesome. Both Vinay and Aparna were entertaining with their captivating performance. Vinay was also the EmCee of the ceremony who did an outstanding job.
