Best Indian Wedding DJs in Los Angeles

I had a wedding about a month ago. And I didn't know any Los Angeles Indian DJs. I contacted lots of other indian DJs and when l got in touch with this DJ, I was satisfied with how things went. He did a good job and I am very happy with everything. I highly recommend him if you need an Indian DJ. And my family and friends were happy.

DJ Devshi is amazing with an expertise in not only curating foot tapping Bollywood dance numbers but also highly skilled in making things work even if the setup at the venue may not be great. He and his wife did an amazing job of executing the background music, karaoke tracks for the performances at my party flawlessly but also managed to change the backdrop on the LED screen for each performance-definitely not a cup of tea for everyone. His passion clearly shows in his work. Highly recommended ????

Vinay recently hosted my daughter’s 5th birthday party and we all had a blast. He is a really good dj and anchor. He took great care to get to know us and curated the event as per my preference and played my daughter’s favorite songs. My 5 yr old enjoyed a full 4 hr event and dint get tired all thanks to him. He handled the entire event with ease and the crowd loved him. He had all the kids on the floor , conducted games for us and finally all adults also had a great time on the dance floor. It’s tricky to handle a kids party and entertain kids and adults alike. Can’t recommend him enough. ??

Jeetu was amazing! We had an interracial wedding with a Hindu ceremony in Asheville, NC and he assisted with a wide range of tasks over the course of several hours. He first assisted with tying our safas (headgear) for several men in advance of the wedding ceremony. He then played the dhol (indian musical instrument) for our baraat (indian wedding processional with dancing) prior to our ceremony. Finally, he played the tablas (indian musical instrument) during our cocktail hour set list and even did an impromptu collaboration with violin/cello instrumentalists for 2 more Hindi songs. We could not be happier with his performance and broad musical range!

The birthday party theme was Roaring 20’s/the great gatsby style so the preferred music style was Bollywood/English blend with personalized music request. She works one-on-one when it comes to music style/request/genre or just ask. The music transition she made was very smooth and awesome. She was in regular communication with me months prior to the event, helping me plan and coordinate the event. She arrived promptly on the day of the event, as scheduled, to set up her equipment and was already playing music to welcome my guests. I'd planned an 80s/Bollywood night. The quality of music, equipment and the set list were all top class. She played all my favorite songs and the transitions were seamless. She also offered me complimentary recipes for desi themed cocktail mixes, which I greatly appreciated. Anjana kept us dancing non-stop for 3 hours! I chose Anjana over other DJs because I felt she was the most compatible for the 80s/Bollywood themed party and she did not disappoint! I would definitely recommend Anjana for her professionalism and quality of service and would not hesitate to hire her again for future events.

Suhane Pal provided us with the DJ and music services on the Dance night and Karaoke services for Mehndi night ( back to back days ) for my sons wedding and we were very pleased with them. Devshi and Ashmita were very helpful right from the beginning and once we shared our thoughts, they provided us with the plan for both events including the set up on the previous night so as to avoid any last minute hiccups, tested the equipment and did the dry run. On the day of the dance event, they were fully prepared and had put together the complete play list for the dance night. For the Mehndi Karaoke, they had enough microphones for multiple people to sing together or in a chorus. They honored every song request for both Bollywood and Western music as it was a huge party and there both Indian and non Indian guests. It was beautifully and professionally managed and we received many compliments and positive reviews from many people not just once but multiple times. Devahi is very passionate about what he does and he is very organized and detailed oriented. He also had backup plans if needed. I would highly recommend them for any Music and Karaoke services.

We needed a DJ for a double milestone birthday celebration, catering to 2 very different generations (a 75th Birthday and a 21st Birthday). The request was to balance old and new-age Hindi and English party music. DJ Dev from Suhane Pal did a fabulous job of it. We had about 100 people at our event and Dev handled it all very professionally. He arrived early, set everything up before our guests arrived, and had music playing before our guests arrived. He was also great with suggestions on including music through the schedule and coordinated with me before the event to ensure we were in sync with expectations. Dev responded to all my text queries in a timely manner, and he delivered seamlessly. At the end of the party, Dev surprised us with a beautiful song that he sang himself, for the Birthday guest of honor, making it extra special. I recommend DJ Dev to anyone without any hesitation. My friends enjoyed the party, thanks to him! DJ Dev will be our go-to DJ for our next party!

DJ Dev made this a wonderful event for us: appropriate level of pre planning, professional set up and preparedness before the event and a great adaptability on the final program, based on that day’s audience and need. Vinay and Aparna performed at my mother's 75th surprise birthday party last month. They made the event very lively. We had informed them that Dev Anand was one of the favorite actors of my mom. Vinay did some mimicry acting like Dev Anand and also told some stories around him which were unknown for most audience. This was in addition to their singing and came as another surprise for my mom and all guests. I had some games planned during the event which did not happen because the party did run somewhat out of schedule. However, I would still give them 5 stars since the main intention of the games was to engage guests and they were kept engaged anyway. We got good feedback from several guests that the party ran very nice and a lot of credit does go to Vinay and Aparna. We would highly recommend the duo.

Vinay and Aparna performed at my mother's 75th surprise birthday party last month. They made the event very lively. We had informed them that Dev Anand was one of the favorite actors of my mom. Vinay did some mimicry acting like Dev Anand and also told some stories around him which were unknown for most audience. This was in addition to their singing and came as another surprise for my mom and all guests. I had some games planned during the event which did not happen because the party did run somewhat out of schedule. However, I would still give them 5 stars since the main intention of the games was to engage guests and they were kept engaged anyway. We got good feedback from several guests that the party ran very nice and a lot of credit does go to Vinay and Aparna. We would highly recommend the duo.

Each and every guest was so engaged and happy thanks to Vinay’s anchoring skills. They even dressed up for the party and Aparna’s get up was one of the best. Amazing voices and choice of songs that went perfectly with our theme. Very professional and coordinated with us during the planning as well

Vinay recently hosted my daughter’s 5th birthday party and we all had a blast. He is a really good dj and anchor. He took great care to get to know us and curated the event as per my preference and played my daughter’s favorite songs. My 5 yr old enjoyed a full 4 hr event and dint get tired all thanks to him. He handled the entire event with ease and the crowd loved him. He had all the kids on the floor , conducted games for us and finally all adults also had a great time on the dance floor. It’s tricky to handle a kids party and entertain kids and adults alike. Can’t recommend him enough. ??

We had invited the group “Mehekte Sur” for my in-laws 50th marriage anniversary celebrations. Husband wife duo were fantastic singers. They sang old Hindi Bollywood songs, as well as Marathi, Gujrati and Bengali. Truly versatile singers who could sing old and new songs both. They were amazing at engaging the guests, by making it fun and interactive function. All the seniors got on the dance floor and it was really special and we made some amazing memories. Thank you Aparna and Vinay. Thrilled to find out that have an entire band for weddings also.

I was a photographer at one of the events that Mehekte Sur were performing at and they were great! They create such a warm and lively atmosphere for everyone to enjoy and were amazing at catering their songs to match the crowd's likes. They were funny and did a great job interacting with the crowd too!

Great selection of songs, great energy throughout the party and Vinay was really interacting with everyone in the party and making sure everyone is involved in the party. I was the photographer for an event where vinay was managing. There were 3-4 games where literally everyone from the guests played and kudos to vinay for including in them.

Vinay and Aparna have been close friends for over 25 years. It’s a sheer delight watching this lovely couple blossom into star performers. I have had a chance to do a couple of ghazal shows with them too. They are so in tune with the times and are able to bring a unique combination of old and new, tailoring memorable performances for their audiences. I recently watched them perform at a friend’s daughter’s graduation party. This was a surprise 75th birthday celebration. MEHEKTE Sur was awesome. Both Vinay and Aparna were entertaining with their captivating performance. Vinay was also the EmCee of the ceremony who did an outstanding job.

Over this past Memorial Day weekend (May 26, 2024) I gave my mom a surprise birthday party for her 75th. Pre-planned everything a month ahead of time. For some reason I could not find the type of entertainment that I was looking for in the Southern California area. I am glad that I did not find it, otherwise I would never have of met Vinay and Aparna. I found Mehekte Sur as I was doing Google Searches. I flew them out from New Jersey and in all honesty, they did not disappoint. It was absolutely 100% the best decision for an entertainment vendor. Throughout the entire process Vinay and Aparna stayed in contact with me through texts and phone calls reassuring me that they will be here. Vinay & Aparna did an amazing job at Emceeing and crowd engagement. Their voices are fantastic with all the songs that they sang. They meshed so well with each other as well as into my family, as if we were related and just had not seen each other in a while. If you are looking for Bollywood/Indian style entertainment, please do not 2nd guess yourself on choosing Mehekte Sur as they will not disappoint. I attended my friends birthday party and these modest, lovely couple have performed so well. They both are very pleasant to communicate and involved the audience very well . They brought all the audience into lively action with their beautiful singing and even senior citizens danced for the lovely tunes. I would highly recommend them for your upcoming events and loved their spirit to sing Telugu songs as well.

Their team was amazing and they made sure that all the non-Indians also felt a part of the event and had a blast. The songs, the compering, the DJ mixing was just top class. Vinay and Aparna are amazing singers. They made our friends’ 15th anniversary truly special with their surreal performances. We were all blown away with their soul touching voices and choice of songs. Listening to Kishore Kumar classics in Vinay’s voice took everyone to the golden age of Bollywood. Aparna brought back memories of Lata Di and Madan Mohan with Abhi Na Jao. I loved how they also incorporated children’s music. They are a complete package. Highly recommended!

We recently celebrated our 25h anniversary and I am happy to share that Mehekte Sur jodi did an amazing job with the Live singing and emcee services. They did a great job with Telugu & Bollywood DJ set. The highlight of the evening was their vocal performance and they also sang a Telugu song for us. Had them for my parents surprise 25th anniversary as DJ/MC and live singing and they were amazing. The crowd was engaged for the entire duration of the party ranging from teens to grandparents. Vinay was super responsive and pleasant to work with. Aparna and him made the party fun for everyone! They also sang part of first dance for my parents which was really cute.
