My sister and I hosted my brothers 50th birthday party in our back yard and Desi Beatzs was our DJ. He was the absolutely best! Awesome music, awesome equipments and just a fun guy! Initially, I was worried about hiring a DJ, because some of the ones I've experienced at other friends' Indian weddings were a bit cheesy. However, Kabir DJ'ed at my wedding reception on 6/2/24 and he was great! We had also used his services at my brother's wedding reception in 2022. He's a clear communicator and works hard to understand his clients' expectations and desires for the event. He did everything we asked from him and more, and he made it an excellent evening! Thank you, Kabir ??

?DJ Kabir is absolutely phenomenal. We approached him based on reviews and his Instagram page. And after that it was a seamless process. He was wonderful to work with and personalized the playlist to include some of our favorites. He also attended the venue walkthroughs with us to help us plan the layout and also help us think through elements unrelated to audio. We danced for 3 straight hours and so did our guests ?across ages 3 to 80. Ankur, the dholi, brought in amazing energy and was a unique element to our reception. The lighting was great. ?The ?photo ?booth was very well done. The props were fun and there was something for everyone. We got the photos very soon after the event, and they are a great addition to the photos from our photographer.? Having Kabir and Ankur made all the difference to our celebrations. It's an enthusiastic yes from us!

Shivish entertainment was amazing at all our wedding events- I’d first heard Shivish when I went to a concert in 2021 and they’d been hired to open, and knew from then that I’d want to work with them at some point. Throughout the entire process Ranjan & Ammanah were so helpful and responsive, very helpful with keeping me on task with uploading music and noting cues (and we’re super flexible with my wedding brain where I felt like I had a million and 1 things to do and kept forgetting to send certain songs). Vinay recently hosted my daughter’s 5th birthday party and we all had a blast. He is a really good dj and anchor. He took great care to get to know us and curated the event as per my preference and played my daughter’s favorite songs. My 5 yr old enjoyed a full 4 hr event and dint get tired all thanks to him. He handled the entire event with ease and the crowd loved him. He had all the kids on the floor , conducted games for us and finally all adults also had a great time on the dance floor. It’s tricky to handle a kids party and entertain kids and adults alike. Can’t recommend him enough. ??

Jeetu was amazing! We had an interracial wedding with a Hindu ceremony in Asheville, NC and he assisted with a wide range of tasks over the course of several hours. He first assisted with tying our safas (headgear) for several men in advance of the wedding ceremony. He then played the dhol (indian musical instrument) for our baraat (indian wedding processional with dancing) prior to our ceremony. Finally, he played the tablas (indian musical instrument) during our cocktail hour set list and even did an impromptu collaboration with violin/cello instrumentalists for 2 more Hindi songs. We could not be happier with his performance and broad musical range!

I am an Indian bride and I worked with Desi Beatz Entertainment for our 3 Indian wedding events hosted in downtown DC. Along with Kabir as our lead DJ for all of our events, Desi Beatz also provided audio, uplighting, emceee and dhol services, and our photobooth. We decided to work with Desi Beatz early on in our planning process, and from the beginning, Kabir went above and beyond to support us. In addition to his own scope, Kabir also sent us recommendations for other wedding vendors; we ended up hiring another vendor based off his glowing recommendation and that vendor was fabulous as well. We had an incredible experience working with DJ DesiBeatz for our fusion Chinese Indian American wedding reception. From the very beginning, the team was so communicative and easy to work with. Planning a return trip !

A fun place to walk around if you want a leisurely stroll. Recommend starting at the Museum of Contemporary Art to check out the latest exhibit and then walking to one of the many coffee shops or cafes before exploring the art galleries and shops. The murals are nice, but spread apart so if you aren’t in good health you may want to skip this.

I am always on the hunt for beautiful street art. Was so pleased so find a whole Vibe arts district where street art is celebrated.

I was at the oceanfront for an appointment and afterwards I decided to take a little cruise to the creative vibe district. It was a good idea it certainly live in the area. I drove through not the entire area, but I plan to go back for a walking trip very soon. I noticed some artwork had signatures others I didn't notice them maybe I just overlooked it I've never looked or checked to see if this is done in any other cities but I think it's such a good idea I would be curious to know if anyone followed aura possibly where the idea came from when Virginia Beach made theirs. There are a lot of restaurants throughout that area as well as well as housing, fire, rescue and police on spot.

Shivish Entertainment provided DJ services, lighting and MC services for our wedding reception on Oct 13th at Milton Ridge. They hadn't (to my knowledge) worked for a wedding at this particularly comparatively small venue and despite some bumps in the road, they were able to master a great setup with high quality sound coverage throughout the room. They also did a great job of reading the room and playing music that they thought the guests on the dancefloor would like, combined with our own personal requests. I've been following them and supporting their business for over 5 years so my expectation was definitely that they would deliver a high quality experience at our wedding reception but they went above and beyond! They even added on extra uplighting to really give the room the right ambiance. MC Riju really drove the energy at the event with his roaring voice and killer dance moves. He carefully followed the highly-detailed script that I just provided on the night before, haha. They're the best of the best and I look forward to working with them again!

Instant photobooth- Guests take 4 different pictures and it would automatically print out a photo strip. This was such a hit and our guests were lining up to take pictures the entire night. They also printed out a seperate copy and gave us a photo book of pictures as a keepsake! 2. Starry dance floor- Guest loved the unique aspect of it and it looked absoltuely breaktaking 3. Uplighting- Please get for any wedding, Shivish knocked it out the park with the uplighting and set the mood

If you are hiring them make sure DJ Shiv is covering the event, if not then your money spent will not be worth it. The DJ they sent for 1st half of my event completely failed to pick on audience pulse. I had even shared my playlist but he was completely off. Number of my guests asked if I could put my own playlist which you don’t want to hear after hiring professional DJ. BUT second half of the event DJ Shiv came and he was immediately able to change the mood. Everyone gravitated towards the dance floor and they had a ball. So make sure you don’t get their backup DJ and Shiv covers it.

DJ RKG is the man, and one of the most professional vendors I’ve worked with. He DJed my North Indian x South Indian x Jewish wedding celebration of 400+ people. Here’s what makes RKG a great DJ: Accessible & communicative - DJ RKG always responded to my questions and requests immediately, even when he was traveling. He was willing to jump on a call whenever needed. I always felt like a priority, though I know he had lots of other things on his plate. Adaptable - As is true with any wedding, things evolved during the months leading up to the event and even the night before the event. Rahul was willing to make a change with no fuss, and even provided advice on event flow, MCing, etc when we needed it. Trustworthy & Resourceful - When we needed additional mics or screens, Rahul was able to source quotes and options for us. He helped us find a dhol player who was fantastic and knew how to work a crowd, at a very fair rate. Even when I needed help with things completely unrelated to DJing like decor, DJ RKG provided reputable recommendations. He showed up ahead of time and ready to go. Fun - DJ RKG lit up the dance floor. He knew the exact right music to play - we got compliments from our guests on the music choices. He offered the opportunity for us to come up to the DJ booth.
