They listened carefully to our vision and delivered exactly what we asked for, seamlessly adapting to the flow of the event. DJ Raj is epitome of professionalism. From the moment we retained him for my daughter's wedding to the culmination, it has been nothing but just a fabulous experience for all. He has the best sound system, lighting options and an amazing DJ Mannan who got everyone on the dance floor non-stop with his trendy music both on Sangeet and Reception night. All our 400+ guests thoroughly enjoyed the music and were raving about it as everyone danced to their heart's content. Raj did an amazing job MC'ing both during Sangeet and Reception and ensured everyone danced to the tunes of his dholi and music during the Baraat. He executed the program as drafted to perfection. His professionalism clearly showed on the day of the events as they knew the exact tunes to play during Sangeet to the day of reception. We as hosts didn't have to worry about any details and he executed flawlessly per the plan. We now have lined him up for all the weddings in our family :)

THE ABSOLUTE BEST DJ & Entertainment group!! I had the pleasure of working with Raj and team this fall for my wedding and they made sure that our friends and family of all backgrounds stayed on the dance floor all night and every night! I am an Indian bride and I worked with Desi Beatz Entertainment for our 3 Indian wedding events hosted in downtown DC. Along with Kabir as our lead DJ for all of our events, Desi Beatz also provided audio, uplighting, emceee and dhol services, and our photobooth. We decided to work with Desi Beatz early on in our planning process, and from the beginning, Kabir went above and beyond to support us. In addition to his own scope, Kabir also sent us recommendations for other wedding vendors; we ended up hiring another vendor based off his glowing recommendation and that vendor was fabulous as well. We couldn’t have asked for more from our experience working with Kabir. He patiently answered our questions about audio and lighting needs at our complex venues, attended multiple venue tours with us as we refined the event details, sent us sample music mixes for us to get a better sense of his DJ style, and cut our dance medley music tracks for us to use at our events. Kabir and his team executed flawlessly at all of our events. They were extremely professional and consistently anticipated the needs of our guests to keep our events lively and our dance floors full. During our reception, we were surprised with a live tabla player and foam glow sticks, courtesy of Desi Beatz. After the weekend, Kabir shared footage and compiled videos that highlighting our events. I would highly recommend Desi Beatz Entertainment for your event needs. Working with Kabir and his team felt like working with friends.

Desi Beatzs did an AMAZING job DJing for our wedding at the peabody library. Kabir did a great job keeping us on schedule and making the right announcements during our ceremony and our reception. The Emcee also did an incredible job keeping our crowd excited without being overbearing. Once the dance floor opened up the DJ did an amazing job of playing tunes that got every single one of our guests dancing :) We cannot recommend him enough!

Kabir is the man! From the beginning, his communication was always perfect, responding in a timely manner. Very detailed and organized setup. His mixes were on point and kept max energy on the dance floor. This guy knows exactly what he’s doing. 100% recommend him for any event in the future.

Kabir is an absolutely fantastic DJ. He was very communicative throughout the process leading up to our event, and diligently followed up many times even when we forgot to do many of our own items due to being so busy and preoccupied with other vendors. Music was amazing. He helped splicing and mixing our first dance song to the exact way we wanted. Every transitions were on time and on cue. He worked exactly perfect to the timeline and the plan that we build. He also enthusiastically incorporated some of our very niche club music that no one knows about, and pulled it off exceptionally. Once the dance floor opened, the energy never dipped. Seamless song transitions, perfect timing, and the kind of music selection that had every age group on the floor at the same time. He read the room flawlessly and adjusted the vibe like a pro. No awkward gaps, no dead air, no cheesy nonsense. Just straight heat all night. Many of our guests told us that they kept delaying their departure and returning to the dance floor because we kept getting such good songs. Professional, punctual, clean setup, good quality sound sound. His MC also handled every announcement smoothly without hijacking the spotlight, and did a great job building up hype, energy, and directing the flow of the event. We would hire again without thinking twice. What a great DJ MC team.

We had an incredible experience working with DJ DesiBeatz for our fusion Chinese Indian American wedding reception. From the very beginning, the team was so communicative and easy to work with. I worked closely with Kabir throughout the planning process—he answered every question, shared samples of what was possible, and made sure he fully understood the vibe we wanted. They respected our do-not-play list, incorporated our preferred songs, and absolutely nailed the overall mood we envisioned: a perfect blend of Hindi + American millennial (2000s), some 70s/80s classics, fast/hype moments, and just a couple slow songs at the right time. On the day of, the MC was amazing—super communicative with both me and our venue coordinator to ensure everything flowed smoothly and aligned with our timeline. My family, guests, and I were thrilled with the music and services. We received so many compliments on everything, from the DJ and MC, fun photobooth with many props and good quality prints, to the beautiful 72” LED screen that showcased photos of my husband, me, and our families. One of my absolute favorite parts was the dhol player—he brought incredible energy and such a special touch to the night. It truly elevated the celebration. I highly recommend DJ DesiBeatz. They made our reception unforgettable!

The music and the dancing were easily the HIGHLIGHT of my wedding day. Planning a wedding during a pandemic can be quite disconcerting. I wasn’t sure if guests would feel comfortable dancing or if there would be looming fears amongst the crowd. Thankfully, the opposite was the case. My guests were thrilled to dance and DJ Kash had the dance floor jumping! Music has this incredible ability to bring people together and connect on the dance floor with passion, positivity, & good vibes. I’m so grateful to Kashif for being so dependable and easy to work with. He was great with communication and kept the party energy high from start to finish!

I was so thrilled to have found DJ Kash to help make our Sangeet a memorable experience for everyone! I found him through instagram, as one of the premier South Asian DJ's in the triangle area, and after listening to his sets, I knew he would be the perfect fit for our event. We reached out, and within a few weeks, we had a signed contract, he had added at my request, a Dholi and I felt that he would deliver even though we'd booked him over a year in advance. Kashif is professional, fun, and can read a crowd and vibe incredibly well. He blended western music with Bollywood hits and for our Sangeet he played a live, mixed set which was DOPE. Everyone loved the music and would not get off the dance floor. Additionally, he was incredibly flexible- I had literally no direction for him (mostly because I trusted him) and he was able to accommodate last minute requests without complaints. And thank you Kashif, for encouraging me to keep the Dholi, because between the two of you, the event was more memorable than I could have imagined. Kashif made the space beautiful with his uplighting, which was a welcome addition to his standard cost, and set up and tore down with no issue in a very busy downtown Raleigh venue. I would 100% use him again if I ever needed to. The music was phenomenal, bangers all night- and the talent was immense and clear. Thank you so much for making my wedding weekend so memorable!

There were many things we asked for that did not happen at my wedding. My father gave a playlist, and DJ Kash didn't play much of anything from the playlist - just some of the instrumentals. The list did include some dance tracks that he played but not many. He also didn't play the instrumental version of our entrance song and played it really late, we were already halfway into the entrance by the time it started playing. Furthermore, he welcomed everybody before my parents did, which upset them alot. Also, my dad asked not to have silences and to play low level background music at all times which also didn’t happen. He also only played a few of my husbands songs from his playlist. The songs he did choose were often inappropriate for my audience , with expletives. Low by Flo Rida was an example of this. For these reasons my husband and father were actively upset with the music during the reception. In addition, he was very slow to respond and didn't call my father back at all for example. He also charged 50$ per each remix of one piece of music and needed all the points where to mix the songs, so we made the mixes ourselves. I did try to relay this privately but got no response until this review. He did respond and apologize for the items mentioned, therefore I’ll update to 3 stars.

DJ Kashif made our daughter’s graduation ceremony a memorable party. It’s a late post happened last summer but still people talk about it. The music the light and the ambiance DJ K created was amazing. People danced their heart out, music was for every age. I will highly recommend DJ k for your next event.

Our wedding was Fusion – Indian/American, and Kash did a great job getting everyone out on the dance floor. He executed our detailed timeline very well. We would recommend Kash for future events, especially Indian/American ones.

Kabir was amazing with getting a mixed (indian and non-indian) crowd going at our wedding events. All our guests were asking about the DJ. He was the first one onsite for set-up and helped with schedule and gave live recommendations on the day of the events. He is very accommodating with countless calls and meetings as needed and made us all very comfortable the day of each of our events. He went out of this way with helping the decorator and other vendors with set up as well. Whatever I say is not enough for how accomadating and proffessional Kabir is. From the first call, he was super friendly, responsive and willing to help make the event the way we want it. I think we had a pretty complex evening with need for live streaming, some pre recorded speeches and need for projector, but he made it seem all natural and simple. He was in touch with me and my brother regarding multitude of itenary changes during the evening and really just went with the flow. As for the music and lights, amazing. Wow, wow, wow, and one more time for the people in the back: WOW!!! DJ Kabir was everything and more we could have hoped for (and I was a wedding DJ for a spell so the expectations were high). We had a DIY reception-only affair (courthouse wedding last year), so we were looking for the music to not just be a mood setter, but capture bits of ourselves and our families. We wanted a little bit of all the good stuff, so much so it was almost hard to nail down a playlist. What would work, what won’t? Whats too niche or too new or to old gahhh!! BEST DJ EVER for my Pakistani - Italian fusion wedding!! DJ Kabir is so friendly, cool and easy to work with. He made mixes for us from bollywood and western songs (not easy) for our dances and seamlessly played and blended a variety of songs at our wedding. There was not a dull moment on the dance floor. Our MC and Dhol player were also incredible and my guests are still raving about them and the awesome digital photobooth we had. Amazing timing and expressions while conducting the “Baraat on the horse”.. was training off and on soo required lot of flexibility and innovations which Raj was able to execute with supreme timing and enthusiasm!!! Whatever I say is not enough for how accomadating and proffessional Kabir is. From the first call, he was super friendly, responsive and willing to help make the event the way we want it. I think we had a pretty complex evening with need for live streaming, some pre recorded speeches and need for projector, but he made it seem all natural and simple.
