Moumita Chatterjee, the music instructor of the music school Gandharvi, is a versatile vocal artist mainly specializing in Hindusthani(Indian) classical music. For last 20 years, Moumita is getting trained in and practicing Indian classical music. She has performed in different events and venues in and around Chicago area and also in schools and colleges in her hometown Burdwan, West Bengal, India. She has got lot of appreciation for her Indian devotional song (called Bhajans) at Ramakrishna Mission, Chicago. She is a regular performer at Bengali Institute of Chicago in their events of Durgapuja. She recently started offering hindusthani classical and bollywood-style singing lessons to interested students.
