We sought the services of Universal relocations for our move from Dallas (USA) to Pune(India). In Dallas, Satya was very responsive in answering questions we had around the process, cost and do’s/don’t. Our shipment was picked up from our home in Dallas and delivered to our home in Pune. The whole process was seamless and the experience was stress free. We were kept updated on a weekly basis for the status of our shipment and the expected date for its arrival in India. When cleared thru customs, Sini from Universal did a great job coordinating the delivery in India. We were provided live tracking of the truck carrying our goods as well as contact info of the driver i case we needed to coordinate the drop off. The driver Ismail and the moving staff were very careful while offloading the shipment. It took approximately 100 days for the shipment to reached Pune after it was picked up in Dallas. Not to mention, the cost of services are explained upfront (no hidden charges) and are fair/reasonable/competitive. They accept online/UPI payments so the payment process is seamless. The cost quoted initially was very close to the final cost, which was reassuring and showed transparency in their pricing. The entire process—from booking to delivery—was easy to follow. Communication was clear, and the tracking options provided were helpful in understanding where the shipment was at different stages. There were multiple coordinators involved at various stages, and each of them handled their part of the process professionally. A special mention to Thiayagarajan, who handled the customs clearance and delivery. He was very prompt in responding and coordinating the final delivery, which made the last leg of the shipment stress-free. One tip for improvement: Since the shipment is handled multiple times during transit, it would be helpful if stronger and higher-quality cardboard boxes are used for packing, as some boxes can tear easily during handling. The original estimated timeline was around 3 months, and the shipment arrived roughly within that timeframe. There was a minor delay due to ship scheduling, and otherwise it likely would have arrived about 15 days earlier. Overall, I had a positive door-to-door shipping experience, and I would absolutely recommend Universal Relocations for anyone looking to move items from the US to India.

The package was shipped via FedEx at fraction of the cost directly quoted at the FedEx store and it reached from Dallas to Valsad in 3-4 days. Safe and professional service for sending across cartons of books and personal belongings from USA to India by air. Mamta Hazarika was especially helpful. I experienced some delay in receiving my shipment for whatever reason which caused some anxiety, but overall it took less than a month for my belongings to reach me at my home, safely. SFL is more economical than any other service in the market for air shipping, and are always available to address any questions related to shipments. Everything is operable through their portal, which is easy to operate(albeit slightly buggy at times), but none of our packages or consignments have been lost, and everything arrived in the time limit stipulated. Their team also take responsibility in following up with the core service providers(FedEx, etc) to provide any required updates. It is also commendable that we were able to use their services through the global supply chain issues during the pandemic without any issues!
