First visit ever and can’t wait to go back! Everything was delicious. I had chicken tikka masala, my daughter had the murgh makhani (butter chicken) and we shared saag paneer, vegetable samosas, and garlic naan. Every dish was expertly seasoned and the presentation was gorgeous. Some of the spiciness sneaks up on you since the sauces are so rich and creamy. Plus- we had enough for leftovers the following day so portions are generous. You must try this restaurant! Staff is very friendly and attentive. I wish I had taken photos to share. (Next time!)

Went to some party, at their banquet. It was good overall. Food was okay, it needs to be more flavorful and delightful. But I really liked the customer service. Specially the servers who were serving us. They were polite and helpful.

The dining area was neat, clean, and the sitting arrangements were very good. The food was good, the taste was also good & asian traditional herbal flavor. The service was good. The prices are normal but quantity more than what other restaurants give.

This place has a great banquet setting for various occasions. We always try different food from their menu but, settle in for their Friday-special chicken biryani. Love it! ?? The staff and cook that work here are very friendly and courteous.

The Chicken Masala was delicious. My wife loved it. I go there every Friday for their Chicken Biryani special. The chef is a nice guy, makes you feel welcome.

Had a late night craving for Nehari and discovered this restaurant. Loved the food, service, and atmosphere. Highly recommend!

We just found this place! We have tried several different Indian restaraunts and this is the best!

The food and service were exceptional. I enjoyed their paneer masala and vegetarian stir-fried cauliflower. I look forward to coming back to try out new items on the menu.

Lunch time Cheap Eats Shahi Mahal Restaurant is a restaurant & banquet hall, located in the City of Lakewood & bordering Hawaiian Gardens. When I happened to become aware of their Chicken Lunch Specials, I knew I had to swing by for some spicy eats. Chicken Behari Lunch Special- Taking awhile to come out, the Chicken Behari Lunch Special provided an ample amount of food. The chicken was moist & tender, the accompanying sauce spicy (yet, not in a mouth numbing way), and the rice & salad rounded out a solid & inexpensive plate of food. Service was okay. Being the sole customer dining in & one person picking up takeout, the Chicken Behari Lunch Special took a little longer than I believe it should have. Of course, once on the table, the food was satisfying. A good amount of seating inside the restaurant itself, the large banquet hall has a tremendous amount of space. Iftars during Ramadan are held in there, to break the fast of those that observe it. Parking is via a private lot. Cheap, filling & a flavorful lunch, Shahi Mahal's Chicken Lunch Specials are a deal amid a sea of inflated prices. I enjoyed their chicken behari & am anticipating trying the rest of their lunch specials.

Stumbled upon this place after coming home from school. Atmosphere was nice and calm even talked to the chef while enjoying my food. Nice people even better food.

I don’t usually leave reviews, but I had to take a moment for this one. We recently hosted a dholki at Shahi Mahal and were absolutely blown away by the experience. The owner, Moin was incredibly kind and helpful throughout the entire process. The banquet hall was clean, the staff was friendly, the food was delicious, and our guests had an amazing time. I would recommend Shahi Mahal without hesitation!

Absolutely loved our experience at Shahi Mahal Restaurant! We tried the Nihari, Chicken Chilli, Chicken Biryani, Punjabi Samosa, Chaat, Mango Kheer, and fresh Naan — everything was bursting with authentic Indian flavors. The food was rich, flavorful, and clearly made with care. A special shout-out to Moeen, one of the co-owners, who was incredibly friendly and guided us through the menu with great recommendations. His hospitality made the visit even better. If you're craving real, traditional Indian cuisine, Shahi Mahal Restaurant is a must-visit!

The owner Moin came by our table and was very gracious and nice to my mother, aunt and myself. The server was also knowledgeable about the food as we were still figuring out what to have. He recommended the beef nihari which was fantastic! We also ordered chili chicken and fried rice combo which was also great. The roti was too hard to eat but the owner Moin was gracious enough to not charge us after hearing we didnt love that one. Everything else was nice! Good atmosphere and friendly folks! I’ll be coming back again Insha’Allah!
