The curries are full of flavor!! ???? The naan is some of the best I have had. The sizzling Malia Chicken Boti Kabob was fantastic ???? Very happy to have an Indian restaurant in Keyport!

Finally got to try the food everyone is raving about…. And it did not disappoint! Everything was delicious and served beautifully. Staff was extremely helpful. As someone with celiacs, it’s not always easy to find a large list of items to choose from, so I was pleasantly surprised and will be going back often! Oh- and definitely make sure you hit that dessert menu ??

Delicious food, attentive staff, large sharable portions (or lots of leftovers ??), will definitely come back again and again.

Yet after that, they gave us free naan and some sauce that was literally AMAZING!! 10/10 shi was fire!! Staff was so kind and respectful, literally best people ever imo. I returned there a 2nd time with another family member who’s a bit picky but he LOVED it too. Y’all need to go if y’all wanna try some AMAZING Indian food!!!!! ??????????

We stumbled upon a gem after 3 hours of driving, 3 hours of flying on our way from Florida (Orlando) to Atlantic City. Angara lives up to all the fireworks its name intended. Amazing options, food quality, and service in a cute antique style but homely restaurant. Sandy provided spot on suggestions that tingled our palates on both vegetarian as well as non-vegetarian appetites. Highlights on menu we had was Palak (Spinach) Chaat, Gobi (cauliflower) Manchurian (spice lvl altered for little ones just perfectly), bullet naan (spicy but spot on again), angaari lamb masala (highest spice lvl requested and swear on my forehead didn’t disappoint at all). Recommend folks to try this place out either for dine in, take out or catering. Photo speaks for itself on left overs ??

Very happy with the resturant's atmosphere and service. When asked what spicy level ask for 'indian' spice level if you dare. Otherwise the spice level is doable and delicious. BYOB. Nice atmosphere for date night too.

I am a 11 year old kid and I personally love indian food and this is one of the best indian restaurants I ever been to. The food was awesome. I really liked the cheese naan. I really suggest this restaurant.

The food was amazing! Started out with the Chutney and Papad. Flavors swimming around in my mouth and just the right amount of heat. The garlic butter naan was perfect. Lamb kabob and assorted chicken kabob. So yum. Wonderful experience. Gracious hosts. It was late lunch so not too busy and the chef came out and told us about some of them items. So nice that Keyport has a restaurant like this. I wish these folks all the best!

The aroma surrounding the restaurant was incredible which made me so excited to try it! We opted for medium spice which was just right, don't think I could go any spicier. So happy to have this new restaurant in my town! You won't be disappointed GO!!!

Tried this place tonight after many recommendations and it did NOT disappoint!! We got tandoori chicken, paneer palak, butter chicken, vegetable biryani and garlic butter naan. Everything was absolutely delicious!! The size of the portions was on the smaller size considering the prices (only 3 small pieces of tandoori chicken for $22, a handful of pieces of chicken in the butter chicken but a ton of sauce for $21). Both came with a small side of white rice. I do think we'll order again since there aren't any good Indian restaurants around here and the food was delicious. It'll definitely be a treat night tho!

We decided to try this Indian restaurant based on google reviews and so glad we did! wow, some of the best Indian food we have ever had… It is nice not to track up to Edison area. The spices and flavor dimensions of the foods are amazing and diverse. It is a hidden gem in a family neighborhood that’s easily missed. Also worth mentioning is the weekend lunch all-you-can-eat buffet… OMG… need a wheelbarrow to take me home.

The staff are attentive and friendly. I ordered a meal that was too spicy, and the chef came out to talk to me. I ended up choosing another meal at no charge and they gave me a yogurt drink to tame the heat in my mouth and throat.

We stumbled upon a gem after 3 hours of driving, 3 hours of flying on our way from Florida (Orlando) to Atlantic City. Angara lives up to all the fireworks its name intended. Amazing options, food quality, and service in a cute antique style but homely restaurant. Sandy provided spot on suggestions that tingled our palates on both vegetarian as well as non-vegetarian appetites. Highlights on menu we had was Palak (Spinach) Chaat, Gobi (cauliflower) Manchurian (spice lvl altered for little ones just perfectly), bullet naan (spicy but spot on again), angaari lamb masala (highest spice lvl requested and swear on my forehead didn’t disappoint at all). Recommend folks to try this place out either for dine in, take out or catering. Photo speaks for itself on left overs ??

Party of four had dinner on a early Fri nite.We were pleasantly seated in a booth which was way too small,moved to a table which was a tad better.We ordered salad,apps,and main course...Took a while for the apps to come out,and never received the salads.Acutally we received the wrong salads so we just cancelled them.The entrees came out missing one of them...The waitress and gentlemen serving the food seem clueless,told another gentleman maybe the owner,he went to see what happened..The dish came out about ten minutes later...The food was excellent but the service was very poor, as I had to call the waitress over numerous times...even for the desert menu...was nevered offered anything for the missing entree or the salads....maybe we will give you another shot after you get the kinks worked out...

The food was very good except for the goat biryani, which was mostly bone and gristle. There are better options for Indian food in Monmouth County.

Service was very good.Food was also good.We ordered fish amritsari and kadhai paneer with butter naan. Paneer pieces were very less compared to the price we paid.Hardly 5 pieces.Gravy was enough. As the menu price is on a little higher side .. the paneer quantity should be enough.

The food was excellent and the space itself has a cool 80s shore throwback vibe. Only thing that needs improvement is communication during service but it would not keep me from returning. If you're going for lunch, ask for the lunch Thali. It's like taking a 30 minute flavor vacation to India.

I live right up the street from this lovely restaurant and it never disappoints. From the appetizers, main courses, and even the deserts, everything is always so tasty! Definitely give this place a try if you haven’t yet!!

Appetizers and entrees are priced high. For eg Butter naan is like $5 each. Biryani is $20-22.. Service is slow.

I had taken out their Weekday lunch box (Chicken) which was reasonable in price and taste was amazing. After inquiring about their most liked dishes, I also ordered Chicken Tikka Masala and that too was amazingly tasty. Definitely recommended restaurant for indian food lover and to have a real indian restaurant food. Their dining area looked awesome as well.

Food was pretty good, some long wait times when waiting for the waiter. Found a chicken bone in my vegan dinner, that was unfortunate. Was told that it was just human error and to just omit the tip. Food is delicious and service is excellent. A bit disappointed because the website claimed there was weekend lunch buffet but when we drove there we were told that the buffet is no longer available and they only serve a la carte. Price for food is comparatively expensive but the portions are big and the taste of the dal makhani and the chicken biryani is excellent.

Great food and decent sized portions. They have both vegetarian and vegan entrees. I've had dinner there many times and their weekend buffet once. It is very appealing with a large selection. My only not positive comment is that it used to be reasonable price wise but they are now in the $40 a person range without added surcharge and tip if you get bread and appetizer with an entree .The buffet is $25.
