If you are craving for some real spice of biryani and Mandi, it's a must try place. South India snack was great...nice place to hangout. Ambience and service was really outstanding.

Goat Mandi: they have different types of goat mandi, namely Goat shoulder and goat ribs. Interesting to say the least. It's actually the first time l've had goat mandi (what I ate growing up in Saudi was either lamb or chicken). The goat was tender, and the amount they give was huge. So huge that you can't eat it yourself. The rice was the chicken mandi rice, and it reminded of a place that l used to go a lot to (Maiz in Khobar) 10/10.

I recently visited a place that really took me back with its traditional vibe and delicious food. The Bhimavaram Kodivepudu was amazing, and their #SpecialMuttonBiryani was absolutely delicious—tender, flavorful, and perfectly spiced. If you're into authentic South Indian food, I definitely recommend trying it. It was a great experience!

Very new place. About a week old as of this writing. Simple decor. Orders are placed at the counter. Dosas were average tastewise, served on paper plates, the chutneys and sambar in small plastic containers. Plastic forks and knives took away additional points from the experience. Free sugary masala tea was offered in tiny cups. Prices were at par with the Galleria area rents. A very simple place that needs a lot of improvement.

I recently visited hashtag on Sunday with my parents they had an amazing experience with the Mandi booths .Their food and ambience was too good. The people around there Kranthi and soumya greeted so good felt so warmt as we are in our home country restaurant they constantly checked upon us .The food and service was exceptional

We are 5 people went there for dinner on Jan 1st evening. Food is great l, but I never eat MANDI in a TEA service plate.. its square thats too odd, we have ordered 2 piece chicken mandi and they gave us in a OVAL shaped plate.. I was eating MANDI almost 15+ years No one gave us that plate.. its should be CIRCULAR/ROUND plate, OVAL shaped plate is not good at all, we can’t have MANDI experience in that plate. But food is good, may be they have to change their serving style of plate.

Finally we have an authentic Indian restaurant in town that opens for breakfast!! And a good one that too. Went for breakfast on a Sunday morning and it was great! All South Indian breakfast items were good. Punugulu, chatni, and idlis were exceptional! As long as the quality is maintained, we will be going back there often

It was our first visit here, and after hearing so many good things about it, we decided to give it a try. The place is clean and is prettily decorated. We went for the Mandi, where they had separate section where you eat in booths on the floor (which is carpeted and furnished), like a real Arabian experience. We ordered the bahubali Mandi platter, and even as a group of five, we could barely finish half the platter. It’s a huge Mandi platter with all forms of protein, which is customizable as well. It’s perfect for a larger crowd or parties. The meat was very well cooked and flavored, especially the lamb shank which was tender and soft, it basically melts in your mouth. The restaurant is relatively new, but has quite a wait and population, so wait time can be a bit long. We finished off with irani chai, and it was perfect. Everything from food, to the interior to the service was very pleasant. I definitely recommend giving it a try. 10/10, will definitely be coming back for more.

We tried paneer mandi which is not even their most popular item and yet we were met with delicious flavours. Everything we ordered was absolutely delicious!! We went out for dinner and the service was great. We sat at the table waiting for our food and after they brought us the first meal, the owner or manager asked us if everything was okay, so it made us feel welcome. We are definitely going back again.

Stopped by for their breakfast and were surprised by the wonderful slate of South Indian breakfast items, especially the freshly made dosas, Pongal, and idlis! Ended it with a steaming cup of chai! We will be back.

We recently dined at Hash Tag India and tried both their dinner- Juicy Mandi Chicken, Haleem and breakfast buffet. The food was flavorful. The restaurant has a warm and inviting ambiance, making it a pleasant place to enjoy a meal. Kids loved the Mandi sitting area. The only downside was the self-service option, which may not be ideal for everyone. However, the quality of food and the overall experience more than made up for it. Hash Tag India is definitely worth a visit!

You can smell the spice from outside. The food is the authentic kind you find in the back of a small indian grocery store. It's a relaxed environment, and the owners and staff care about your experience. And get a Mango Lassi!

Pleasantly surprised !! Tried a few different dishes, mostly good. Paneer Mandi was a unique dish and flavor which we really loved. Only downside to this place, you got to order, pay and then sit.... reluctant to order more... not great for groups.

Amazing selection of Indian food items. Specifically for South Indian flavours. Biryani and Mandi are must haves. Mandi order has special place to sit. Goat/lamb is best meat for both. Chaat options available Many appetizers vegetarian and meat. Quantity is generous. Breakfast buffet is amazing as well.

Good stuff, tried mandi and chole bhaturay and goli soda. The chole bhaturay were really on point and the soda surprised me the most, after one drink I am trying to figure out how I can get a full case of it, it’s basically a mint mojito but really good. The Mandi had too much spices for my liking, the meat was tender and moist but it had some sort of spice which just started to make me sweat so I particularly didn’t enjoy it that much but maybe other flavors might be better. Will try in future

My veg Frd ordered Panner Frankie ??and panner sandwich ?? both had the same stuffing and does not taste good ?? he just had to bites and left the whole thing ??

3.5 for all. Mandi wasn’t tasty. Place was kept clean and people are hospitable. One or two of them wanted to take their sweet time even when there was no rush in serving a ready made desert. There is a heavy crowd everytime I visited this place making it the best choice in Houston. Price to quantity is fair and so I rate it 5/5. I wish they had gloves and hair caps while serving food since we got a hair strand in our food. This place is a bit far from rest of the Indian restaurants but not as far as desi district. Over all, it is a good restaurant but I would prefer it only once in a blue moon.

Visited this place on my trip to houston. Food was absolutely delicious. I really loved the biryanis. It was medium to maximum rush hour when we stepped in. The food that was made arrived a little late but was worth the wait. Jalapeño Chicken biryani?? I can’t take it off my mind. So tasty. I haven’t ordered anything other than this and mutton biryani but there were a lot other options too. Service was good and guidance was nice too. There was live pani puri stall that I haven’t tried. The place was absolutely worth it. Ambiance, parking and seating was just correct and fine.

After a long time we have found a new Indian Restaurant in Houston which is very nice and good. So we were at Harmenn Park and looking for some Indian restaurants and we found HASHTAG INDIA. Their menu and food variety OMG!!! We went and had a great experience. Menu has its own varieties and food is delicious. They make some specific items during their restaurant hours and sell them fresh and hot. We had Onion Bhaji/Pakora & wow they were delicious. I ask them to put some Indian fried green chilies as well & it was mouthwatering. They serve these Bhaji/Pakora with Peanut Chutney and Dosa Chutney, both chutney’s were delicious too. We ordered Chili Momos & Gobhi Manchurian for appetizers. If you really like spicy food i would definitely recommend Chili Momos. Gobhi Manchurian was delicious too, the taste was really different & delicious. Paneer Makhani served with Rice. Paneer Makhani was really great. Their Garlic Naan was really good. Soft and crispy both with delicious taste. Paneer Mandi was the cherry on the cake. It was really delicious and paneer gravy which they serve with it it’s really unique. Served with yogurt & different kind of gravy in a very small box. Their sitting area is very unique & different. They have normal sitting area with Chair& Table and booth sitting & the Mandi kind of sitting as well. Where you have to take of your shoes at the shoe rack then you can go and sit in the booth on the floor with small cushions and tables. Just one thing you have to get cutlery & water by your self , they just brings your food to your table. Do let them know if your spice level is low. I would recommend this place for sure. Kids had White Forest pastries & Oreo Pastry and it was nice too. They have live Chaat Corner where you can eat Pani Puri , they will serve it just like you get on streets. We also ate Paan & same it was delicious. Do try this place. Highly recommended

Had an incredible experience with this restaurant for our house party catering! We ordered for 25 people and everything was just amazing. The chicken, mutton, and paneer biryani were all top-notch, and the malai kofta and rasmalai were standout dishes. The naan bread stayed fresh and didn't get soggy - impressive! They were really friendly, and they even gave us complimentary samples of their DELICIOUS Indian chai tea. Highly recommend!! The last order I placed was trays of karivepaku chicken and mandi fish appetisers and Chk Dum Biryani. There is a great consistency in preparing good food here. I’d love to visit again and again. One of the best Indian food place currently in HTX.

We got the chicken mandi, and it came on a big platter with long-grain rice that was perfectly cooked and seasoned. The meat was insanely tender and fell right off the bone. It had the spiced flavor that was just chef’s kiss. The sauces they served with it added the perfect kick. It’s honestly one of the best mandi dishes I’ve had anywhere. Service was friendly, and the staff helped us pick a few things since it was our first time. Portions are generous too, so it’s definitely good value for money. We recently visited this Indian restaurant as a group of five and had mixed experience. On the positive side, we absolutely loved the spicy chicken Mandi—flavorful, tender, and packed with the right level of heat. The butterscotch pastry was also a sweet highlight at the end of our meal. The cozy floor seating added a nice traditional touch, and it’s great for a small group looking for a more intimate dining setup. However, there were a few disappointing aspects that impacted our overall experience: Service Charge: We were surprised to see an 18% service charge automatically added to our bill, even though we were just a party of five. Dining Ware: While the food itself was delicious, it was served on paper plates with plastic cutlery. This didn’t necessarily take away from the taste, but the experience would have felt more complete and enjoyable with proper dinnerware. Lack of Basic Service: When we asked for spoons with our dessert, we were told to go and get them ourselves. That made us question the value of the service charge even more. Rushed Out: Immediately after finishing our meal, we were asked to vacate the table for other waiting customers—but when we stepped outside, we saw only one family waiting. It felt unnecessarily rushed. Overpriced Dessert: We tried the custard, which was priced at $10, but unfortunately it didn’t live up to the expectation in terms of flavor. While the food had its strong points, the overall service and dining experience left us disappointed. Hopefully, the restaurant takes this feedback to improve the customer experience going forward.

Disappointed with my experience. We ordered chicken majestic and momos, both were very average. And the most disappointing part is the dish that they served it in, if you serve the food in to-go box that itself spoils the entire experience. We tried pani puri station as well, which was decent, not the best. They also have Mandi, which I heard was decent but I did not try personally. Overall 2.5/5, based on this particular experience.

We had a catering order for my Son Annaprashan Ceremony from here and the food was absolutely delicious, every dish was perfectly prepared and beautifully presented. We had a pani puri stall as well and it was the BEST. all my family and friends totally loved it. Great hospitality and good very good pricing as well. The spice level was perfectly maintained and everyone of us loved the food.

Hashtag India is the first restaurant where we had food during our stay in the US this time, when we were on business. It was relatively close to our hotel, and we wanted to grab something quickly. This is a nice place with a good variety of food options available on the menu. We had the samosas, chicken biryani, and mango lassi. The chicken biryani was a generous portion for us, as we are not accustomed to the US (especially Texas) portion sizes. The biryani was tasty. I think the next time I go to this place, I will try the Mandi. This place has special seating for the Mandi, and it seemed pretty interesting for me to have that experience. Its a good restaurant to go for a tasty lunch/ dinner.

Honestly speaking, KCPD...everything is good. I felt whether im n india or houston. Apart from this the ambiance is very peacefull and very clean and good spot for family dinings with private spaces for mandis, service is great and good music all the time I hope everyone should visit hashtag india. One of my favorite spots—I come here 2-3 times a week! The Nalli Gosht Mandi is my absolute favorite dish—so flavorful and satisfying. I also highly recommend the Aloo Samosa—fresh, crispy, and incredibly tasty. And if you're a chai lover like me, don't miss the Irani Chai—rich, warm, and comforting. The vibe of the restaurant is great. I love how they’ve decorated the space—it’s welcoming and has a relaxing, cozy feel. The service is always wonderful. Shri is especially amazing! She’s so friendly and makes everyone feel at home. She even makes the chai taste just like homemade. No matter how busy it gets, Shri makes the effort to check in with every table, answer questions, and make sure every customer is happy. Her warm smile and genuine care make every visit feel special.

Huge hash tag fan. However I came here on Tuesday evening 8pm and I was told Irani chai is over. Thoroughly enjoyed everything: I am only giving this 1 star temporarily. Will convert to 5 if they can continue Irani chai little more for extended hours. Their Irani chai is the best in entire Houston. Also a huge minus here is please do serve in non plastic items atleast for dine in. Serving sooo hot items in a plastic boxes. Kindly see if that’s a possibility. Mandi is pretty good. They serve atleast in steel plates. Edit : just saw the owner reply to my review. This is exactly what a good business reply looks like. I am changing my rating to 5.

Absolutely loved our experience at Hastag India! The food was amazing – full of flavor and perfectly cooked. What made it even more special was the unique seating! Sitting in the booth, shoes off, and relaxing on the floor gave it such a cozy and authentic vibe. It was a really cool and memorable experience. Highly recommend if you’re looking for great Indian food with a fun twist in atmosphere!

The Spicy Chicken Mandi Biryani at Hashtag India in Houston was flavorful and enjoyable with one of its kind. While it’s not a traditional Mandi, it offers an Indo-fusion twist with Indian spices, giving it a unique, slightly wet masala gravy-like flavor. Unlike the typically bland Mandi, this dish stands out with its distinct taste. Panner mandi was yum! They even have Mandi-style seating, which adds to the traditional Mandi experience. However, some of the desserts, like the mango mousse tried, didn’t seem fresh however its been replaced by chocolate mousse. Their 'Dil-Pasand' reminded me taste back in India ! Rabri tres laches was nice too. Don't forget to taste their Irani chai it's tasty and authentic hyderabadi style! It's pretty crowded in weekends so plan accordingly!

Huge fan of their spicy chicken mandi and chicken thali! The perfect combo of both veg and non-veg items. Portions are generous—easily enough for two people.

The food was good,so was the representatives. Nice family environment. These is a sitting arrangement inside like Mughals but if you are above 5 you have to pay extra 18%.
