About San Antonio Tamil School

San Antonio Tamil School (SA Tamil School) was founded in the year 2005 by few passionate parents to teach their young children their language, Tamil. Our initial goal was to teach the basics of Tamil language that will enable the children to speak in Tamil. Slowly but steadily we started to focus on systematic way of teaching children to excel in reading, writing, speaking and understanding Tamil. From the year 2010 we registered with American Tamil Academy, a Not-for Profit tax-exempt organization founded in 2009 for the main objective of developing, facilitating and sharing of Tamil language instructional materials and effective teaching curricula that is common all over USA. We, the San Antonio Tamil School community (parents / teachers / management), envision all students to develop skills and knowledge to communicate effectively in their native language, Tamil. Out mission is to create, provide and maintain a safe, positive learning environment to ensure the holistic development of each student through cultural, physical, social and academic experiences.
