Ratings & Reviews for Sweet Shops
Best food and sweet in the world and very good people
Only one word Awesome sweets ?????
I have visited the place thrice. Best for sweets and average or less for other main course food items. Dal makhani is bland. Non spicy and altogether a stranger version of dal makhani I ever ate anywhere. Palak paneer again disappointing. I know my food very well and never say bad reviews about quality food but never appreciate average or less quality foods.
Delicious, yummy food!
Like the sweets of this place
Best gulabjamun / Malai chomchom in NJ/NY. Not all sweets are extremely good but they out do every one else on the above.
Variety of indian street food and sweets
Excellent Bengali Indian sweets. Good vegetarian food.
Very good Aloo Chaat.
Good food, good prices, decent service...simple decor...
Best and fresh Indian sweets in NYC
Delicious, fresh sweets. Good selection, friendly, patient service. Line builds up but always moves fast. Highly recommended.
Awesome South Asian Sweets
Awesome sweets and reasonable prices.
I'm not a vegetarian but this place I would go to any day
Good food
Love the sweet. Bad service
The staff is extremely rude. Especially that old brown lady who thinks she knows everything, when she does not even know how to speak English. Food is okay.
Love their Masala Dosa!!
Desirable services.
Best Indian sweets! Fresh and lots of variety
Prize is higher compare quality
very good selection of indian and bengali sweets , and veg food is outstanding , love their samosa chat.
Best sweet ever
Excellent service behind the counter. The ladies are very sweet. Sweets are also delish. Curries and snacks are all on point. Nice little vegetarian restaurant.
Inexpensive and good food. Staff is very friendly.
Clean and friendly. Delicious Sweets too!
My favorite place to buy indian sweets. If you want indian sweets, this is best place. Their samosas are best as well.
Their sweets are good, but food is highly okay. Nothing great about the food. Love their rasmalai!
Samosa and Chaat. Wow great
Best sweets hands down!!! Can't be beat.
Good stuff but need to work on service!!!
Lovely restaurant with authentic home made food, just like mom's cooking.
Good food but wait time is long
Thali is good. Sweets are yummy
Food is good
Best Sweets Ever...!
Restroom is not clean enough . Rest is 4 Star.
Little gem of Queens
My all time favorite sweet shop. Love to go there for kesar laddu, malai jam, jilabi- too tasty to resist!
Variety of Indian sweets. Love this place
We tried sweets ( Indian desserts) from this Place and those were good. You can buy sweets / savory snacks from here. We tried the ‘dahi Puri’ which was good but certainly not the best one. But still, everything was worth with respect to the money we paid there. You can give it a try. Also they probably have some Vegetarian Indian buffet ( I have not tasted though).
Excellent place for Indian sweets.
Their food in general is amazing and truly authentic, great samosas, vegetable curries, cholay - everything was delicious! Also, best gulab jamun I have tasted in a long time, its worth the trip for the gulab jamun alone!
Very good sweets
Quality sweets!
The best Indian sweets in Ny.
Excellent, best Indian food I’ve had in a while.
Good food, but nasty store environment
Ive been going here for almost 15 years. And its never a dull time or experience. They have a wide variety of traditional desi sweets and vaggie dishes. Highly Recommend the Ras Malai.
High Quality Bengali Sweets.
Surprisingly most delicious sweets available here in NY.
Awesome
Very tasty food
Good variety, just about everything is delicious, but mithai is kind of pricey.
Great sweet I would say best in NA
They have the best subcontinental style “Mithai” which is sweetmeat on the whole of Eastern Coast.
Good food..good price!!!
Excellent quality sweets.
Clean but cramped place Large selection of sweets. Other food items and service range from mediocre to fair. Think of it as a decent Indian fast-food place.
Super yummy. Girl loves it
Mmmm...Indian rosewater desserts...so good
Delicious food and great service!
Have tried First Indian food in the city and that’s too in this good Indian hotel. Basically they have sweet shop including the space for having your lunch and dinner. They have many Indian food option but I will suggest to go with the Thali because it is pocket friendly plus it has sufficient food items to fill your tummy. It contains 2 Naan/Roti, 3 Sabzi, Dal , Rice and Sweet.
Good quality Indian food.
Authentic Indian sweets, very good quality, reasonably priced
Superb
Good place
Various type of sweets.
Love the place Jewel in the crown
The sweets taste good but only of gujarati style not all around Indian food
YUM. I only knew that I vaguely liked Indian sweets, but I'm unfamiliar with the names and types. I put my fate in the hands of the shop attendant and got two pounds of assorted yummies! Delicious and I learned some names at this bright, clean, friendly neighborhood spot.
That have got every sort of sweets you can think of. I was amazed myself. Everything is good except their customer service is horrible. Always a long wait because the staffs are too busy talking to each other on the other.
Some Bangladeshi flavored sweets are great.
Good pure vegetarian place. Not so good food except samosa
These are the best Indian sweets in the area. The staff is kind and helpful. The lines are often long but love quickly, and anyway that is to be expected in a place with a wide and excellent tasting selection of dessert sweets.
Good Indian sweets
The best sweet shop around in Jackson heights and they have a lot of variety in there along with a small dine in facility. The prices are moderate and the quality is good. Surely not to be missed if you like to try the best of Indian sweets. Update: Just don’t expect to be treated courteously as the staff and vendors know you will come there anyway as there are no better options.
My meal was delicious. Very friendly staff, and fast service.
Loved the store. Very organized unlike Premium. Name and price tag of the sweet makes it easier for customer to choose. Overall very good store have lots of collection. Thank you
Lots of options ??????
Its the real maharaja
Very good sweets
My knowledge of Indian sweets was limited to gulab jamun and other desserts like ras malai or rice kheer, so Maharaja Sweets & Snacks has been on my go-to list for a while. I was amazed (and slightly overwhelmed) by all the options. The desserts are all colorful, coming in a variety of small, bite-sized shapes. I didn’t know so many came decked out in silver foil, but it felt so fairytale-like. An older gentleman noticed me struggling to figure out what sweets to try and laughed, only adding that he too felt like that on his visits to this place. All in all, I paid around $20 for 18 different sweets. I figured I would get some sweets from one section of the store and work my way around in subsequent visits to the area. =) Although they’re quite small, each of them pack quite a lot of flavor and sweetness, so I imagine one is more than enough for dessert after a meal. Personal favorites: **kheer mohan (brown oval—creamy and decadent), anarkali (small white mountain with red on top), khadam kheer (silver foil ball with almond on top with a surprise filling), and gajar pak (brown square—tastes like smoky carrot cake) -- Description corresponding to the photo of Indian sweets I got: 1st row, from left to right: gajar pak (brown square), shari ladoo (light orange ball), kesar pista sandesh (white cylinder with yellow in middle), khadam kheer (silver foil ball with almond on top), badam peda (silver foil rectangle), cream roll (white oval with orange x-marks on top) 2nd row: coconut burfi (green square), rose bahaar (silver foil square with pink in middle), kesar ladoo (orange ball), malai sandesh (white square with faded orange dot in middle), kheer mohan (brown oval), anarkali (small white mountain with red on top) 3rd row: moti pak (orange square), anjeer burfi (looked and tasted like traditional fruitcake), kaju kamal (green ball with silver foil), special sandesh (white ball), bengali champ (yellow oval with silver foil), pakiza (white oval with foil around the middle)
good
Good quality of sweets to have
I love this place... home town sweets are there
Nice taste of food but it conjusted with people always....
Good but expensive and very sweet like soaked in sugar.
Sparrow!!!
The samosas here are the most authentic and most delicious I have ever had in New York. India ki swaad!!!
Tried Veg thali.. it was okeish.. Samosha and gulab jamun was awesome !
Sweets are great and fresh(5 star)! Savories are good (4 star)!
Best Mithai shop in entire NY!!! Haha down
Love it. I'm vegetarian and been coming here for many years. Never have to worry, here it's a matter of religion. Not a molecule of meat in this joint! Delicious and as long as they are open, I'm here. I come from Flushing though there's an Indian restaurant 300 ft across the street from building hahahaha
Tasty.. A little expensive ....but sometimes, it gets really busy.. You need to wait in a queue...
verity of sweets and vegetarian food

I had suji haluwa puri.Puri was freshly made and hot. Haluwa was delicious. It reminded me of my childhood memories. Thank u. Recommended.
Great place for Indian Desserts, very cheap Indian food too. For me dessert may be bit expensive.
Great service
Hai tasty food
Their sweets are good! Decent selection of Indian sweets that are well-priced. I tried their chaats once and was not a fan, however. The dahi puris I tried lacked freshness and flavors werent quite right.
Delicious sweets and snacks, some of the freshest you will find
Best sweets ever!!
Cleanliness was good, few sweets were also good. Overall taste was very disappointing though.
My best place in Jackson Heights. If you're vegetarian and needs a high quality place to eat an amazing food, that's the place ! Just try everything they have . And staff are lovely and so polite!
Loved the taste Very systematic arrangement Sweets are delicious What else can I say wish could have more stars to give them
great place for your sweet tooth
Good vege food and a HUGE variety of sweeeets!
Excellent mango lassi!
Love their Mithai, only place in whole USA for the best indian sweets.
Great place with great choice of sweets
Super Indian sweets shop in the capital of Indian food in Jackson Heights. You also have the ability to sit down and enjoy some vegetarian Indian food as well. I ended up taking home a variety box of sweets that was $10/1 lb. Ensure you know what you want by the time they're ready to take your order. I was a huge fan of the Burfa and Jamans. Not so much on the Ladoo, but you never know until you try them!
Awesome guy's, great service, cool place, great food
Food, sweets is awesome, reminds u of home, got a friend introduced to this store, and now she is hooked.
Food is very good, however the service sucks!
Delicious vegetarian food and mithai.
Very solid Indian comfort food. The sweets are good and everything on the menu tastes like home.
Food is amazing and the sweets are even better. However, they recently got a B rating by the department of health & hygiene which is concerning.
Maharaja sweets samosa is mouth watering.
Good
Love the place. Great Desi style food and the place is pretty clean.
Good service and food
The sweets are the best among all sweet shops in queens and Long Island. Very fresh and no artificial color/ flavor. I know owner personally and he make sweets himself so that’s good point.
Best Indian- pakistani sweet place in NYC
Great food specially the Sweets. Best in NYC.
Perfect place for Indian vegetarian food. Breakfast, lunch and Dinner with mixed veggies, daal, pakora, dosa, roti, Puri, chana from mild to hot whatever I wanted they have it. Not to mention varieties of Sweet Indian and bangali rasgolla, rasmolai all yammy
Customers waiting too long what they never respond
Great place to buy fresh indian sweets. Service is little slow and not welcoming. But worth the wait.
Great mithai
Service was great he did suggest us and make fresh Indian chai
Delicious masala dosa and chat
Fast food Indian style and sweets. But you can also find full meal there if you want. Fast service
Sweets are always good.
Very good sweet
Nice folks here and a great selection of sweets!
Best food in Jackson height !!! I always eat here last 5years. Every time it deserves 5 star
Good Indian veggie food. My best place in Jackson height. No 1 choice of vegetarian lovers. Sweet quality very very very good. Excellent tea and snacks. Awesome food. The staff are kind and helpful. Clean and hygienic store. Love it and each and everything very organized.Name and price tag of the sweets makes it easier for customer. If you are really a sweet bee then why you are waiting just go and order the white ROSOGOLLA.very simple.????
Huge collection of sweets and best sweets in new york
5 stars for the sweets but then -1 star for poor customer service. We got so many sweets which were put on foil tray and I asked for few boxes which would usually come with sweets but they refused to do that. Later they only gave 7 boxes which were barely enough.
Nice sweets options and chats and other option are good too. Prices are good as well.
It’s a decent and cheap place that fulfills the quench for quick Nepali/Indian snacks and desserts. Looks a little dirty just like other food places in Jackson height considering the density of crowd places like this gets day in and day out.
Very nice &pure veg food
———- Amazing food . It's all fresh. There is a bit of a wait because everything is so from scratch but it's so worth it. Awesome service, very homely. honestly amazing and such a great food.
Love love love their sweets. So tried their cholay bhature but not to the expectation. The place gets really crowded during the Diwali time.
Best Indian vegetarian food in Jackson heights
Best ladoos in NYC!!

Unbelievably beautiful sweets and delicious vegetarian Indian food. All made with love and purity.
My go to spot in Jackson Heights. Friendly staff, great quality food, and a nice homey atmosphere.

Best indian sweets in New York
Best Sweets Restaurant in Jackson Heights! Very Good Service!
Great sweets
Great collection of sweets. Masala tea was good.
Best desi sweets place in entire US
Best Indian sweet shop in NYC
It's a treat for eyes and taste buds as well. Amazing Indian sweets you world have never tasted before. But if you are a day lover try their samosas and two types of bread pakoras-regular and paneer.
Best shop for traditional sweets hands down
Good to know that in newyork you can have sweets. I will say its 6/10 in taste.
I love their sweets
The only place to go for Indian sweets!!
Yummy Indian Sweets. But little costly than other Indian place.
Best Place for desi sweets in nyc area.
The food was so tasty and fresh. I will be coming back for sure. Sweets are not overly sweet they are delicious.
Awesome
I love their meethai authentic
A good places to go for authentic Indian food that's not overpriced. Although me being from India I have little high standards since I know the food well, but I would definitely give it a shot.
Superb sweets!!!
God
Good sweets but slow service (10/24/2020)
I love it
yummiest mithai, the best chenna sweets I have eaten in the States.
Great South Asian sweat shop. Especially famous for Indian & Bangladeshi flavors. Price is little bit higher than other neighbouring shops but taste is unbelievable. Definitely you would love it.
I can bet no one can make best sweets then maharaja in whole United States where ever Asian lives compare $$&taste
Awesome place
They used to be very good for sweets. But unfortunately somehow their quality is gradually going down.
Supererb sweet selection
The mithai is really good.
The best sweets in town
Great sweets but small location with very little parking
I have been going to Maharaja sweets for almost 15 yrs since I can to New York. I tried sweets from many stores. By far Maharaja sweets is the best. Tasmania is one of my favorite.
Amazing burfi sweet collection. Yes you can dine in and the new guy who served us food is super sweet and kind. Yummy food for a good price
Have a good assortment of sweets. U can mix and match a lot of variety and they sell by the pound. So easy to try to different flavours. Such a simple and great idea
If you are looking for authentic taste for your sweets, this is the place to go. Huge variety of Pakistani, Indian and Bengali sweets. This is the best you can get in USA. All sweets made on premise. Their Gulab Jaman gets the trophy.
Hands down best desi sweets. Staff is extremely friendly as well. Once you buy sweets here you will never buy sweets anywhere else.
Fantastic ?? Bravo ?? You need Dasi Sweets Mahraja Sweets is the place to go period.
Tasty and good vegetarian food.
The best sweets. I traveled from Philadelphia Pennsylvania to buy sweets from them.
The sweets r so tasty ????
High recommended...
I liked this little place at Jackson heights. It is clean and offers a wide variety of delicious items.
It's always great, especially Anthony gives a 100%
Fresh Sweets and Deserts and Deliver all over Usa ????. I buy few sweets Dhood Barfi and Kalakanad for my Nephew and delivered them to California there favorites Sweets. Prices are very Good.
Greatest sweets place
Pure Veg Restaurant. Nice people. Huge selection of dishes and Indian sweets. Very tasty. Reasonable. No Meat, Fish, Egg etc. No risk of cross contamination.
Excellent quality. Very fancy looking. Perfect for any occasions. But its got pricey now. Each pound $10 & more.
Good clean sweet shop. I go there for malai chum chum cuz no one can make better than maharaja
Allrite, you get what you expect, it the sweet roshwagolla was good so go there and try for your self.
Awesome variety of tasty Indian sweets and snacks.
Good Sweet
Best Mithai Laddoos. Dahi bhalla and papri chat is good also but v small portions. Highly Recommended for their all sorts of delicious Mithai and Best Laddoos and other savouries and snacks
Best sweets treats and samosa in jackson heights
HIGHLY RECOMMEND PLACE! They are pure vegetarian restaurant and GOOD QUALITY food. I have tryed vegetarian thali, samosas, masala dose and sweets like ladoo.THIS IS MY GO-TO PLACE.
I haven’t had their food yet but I have had their sweets. Very delicious and very popular place. Top notch ????
Freshly made Indian sweets that can be found nowhere else in New York. Highly recommend.
Went to this place to buy some Indian sweets and for my pickup order. Sweets were awesome, but unfortunately I was not able to get my order. So I have ordered the food over the phone and they told, it will be ready in 15-20 minutes but upon my arrival when I asked for the food, as per them it was already taken by someone else. Since I was traveling to Connecticut and had paid extra toll to get the food and sweets from this place but this whole incident really disappointed me. Hope they will have better service in the future.
Is this place really open around the clock?
I love their food
The best and fresh sweets of all kinds!! My to go place for dessert
love the chaat!
Love everything about this place
Beautifully decorated and packed sweets. Fresh and excellent quality. Always come here for any sweets / mishti purchases.
Best quality sweets
Worst indian food. 10 years ago, it was a wonderful place to have lunch but I visited after a long time and I was quiet surprised how things have changed. We ordered chole puri with aloo sabzi. Everything tasted bland. No spices in Indian food. Indian food is incomplete without spices. But the sweets are still the same. Fresh and delicious sweets, I'll only be coming for the sweets, nothing else.
Really nice indian sweets. Food is decent . Halwa puri was a bit on the pricey side and they serve you about 3 teaspoons of halwa which is a bit cruel
Delicious sweets as well as savory snacks!
Good one for indian sweets. I loved their chole bhature but did not get laddoo made in ghee. One suggestion, if you buy in bulk, please try one and then go for the sweet you like ??
We loved all the sweets we tried. All of them are very fresh. My favorites were rasogolla and julijuli.
The papri chat is so good. It’s like Indian nachos.
Chole bhature, super delicious especially with mango lassi. Very nice portion. Super nice stuff. Great pani puris as well ????
They serve a variety of vegetarian Indian food, snacks including chat, poori ,samosas. Also they sell Indian sweets. Sweets in general are high quality. Samosa chat and other snacks are good. Prices are reasonable. Only issue is very slow service. The servers are couple of middle aged ladies who will go on their own slow pace even if you are waiting for 20 minutes.
Delicious sweets as well as variety of snacks! Kheer-Mohan & Milk Cake are highly recommended!
The only place so far I approve of getting sweets, it taste good. Not that funny smell of butter or oil smell when you eat them sweets. Have been eating these sweets from childhood and here they have it like I like it and have been eating it. This is always my go to place whenever I go to NY. Whenever it is some festival time, this place gets very busy so plan ahead. Prices are decent.
Amazing sweets! But we almost bought sweets for $45 and they told only cash which is so disappointing.
Great Service
THE PLACE to go for Indian sweets - burfi? rasmalai? gulab jamun? milk cake? Gimme all of them! Great veg snacks, too, like samosas mixtures, too.
Nice and fresh food
Bought some samosas and sweets. Food was good but service was very slow.
Variety Of Sweets & Vegetarian Food. Just Loved It.
THE Vegetarian Food Delicious, And Above All, Their Varieties Of Sweets.
Love the sweets and snacks the service is amazing I feel comfortable purchasing here since it is a vegetarian restaurant and I am vegetarian myself, highly recommended to anyone who wants to give Indian food a try especially to those who are vegetarian
Good
Their desserts are really good but service is very bad. Their service is very very slow. If you are in a hurry don’t go!!!
They have the best samosas and sweets! It’s my favorite place to go to for these things although it is slow and crowded it’s worth it.
The sweets are good. But it's always crowded.
They have the best sweets in New York But the customer service is absolutely horrible. Been going here for yearsss, and it’s always super crowded. You always have to wait in line for like half an hour at least, no one greets you, and not a good place to dine in.
If you have not been, then you’ve been missing out on the best sweets in NYC. Yes they’re slightly more expensive than the other sweets places nearby, but it’s that way because they are quality. Mouth watering sweets, so much variety. I have to buy two boxes for a household that doesn’t even eat sweet stuff because we can’t get enough of this. You can get sweets by the pound or each piece solo for $2 each. They give half pound of the same mathai but no mix n match. That’s probably the only downside. But definitely go check them out. The staff is also very nice, respectful and patient!
I can give them 5 stars for the food and sweets but there service is not great.
Sweets made with pumpkin so goood. Its called petha
Fantastic selection of fresh mithai/sweets and savory snacks!
Great sweets and food options to eat inside.
Delicious sweets ??
Best sweet that you get in NYC without any doubt!
Authentic Indian food! Tried their Aloo Puri, and it was delicious, can't wait to go back!
The food is great and the sweets are the real deal. But they have no concept of customer service and are extremely rude. They have a strange rule — you can mix and match sweets in a box if you order a minimum of 1 pound. If you want a half pound, it must be the same sweet, which is ok, I understand. I landed up purchasing 2 pounds in 2 separate boxes and offered to pay for an empty third box. The boss lady refused, saying it’s her box. She wouldn’t accommodate at all. The line is also rushed, they just want to get you through. When I reached home I weighed the boxes just for giggles and it turned up short of 2 pounds. The whole experience is comical. If they were just normal human beings this place would be 5 stars.
Sweets are good, the taste of some food is not even close taste to pak india or bang. But is good mini desi shop.
I have been going to this place for Indian sweets for at least 15 years or more. I like their carrot halwa. If you warm it little bit then it is even better. They have fresh food as well for someone who wants to dine in. Overall good place to eat if you are in Jackson heights south east Asian Market.
Authentic indian sweets and namkeens??
Best mithai I’ve ever had in states
I tried shahi laddo, kheer mohan and small rasgulla. Shahi laddo was good and kheer mohan and rasgulla sucked big time. Customer service is horrible. I wanted to order 11 box sweets and lady in counter exhaled in frustration and then she told me that she does not enough so come back next day and I never went back.
Every sweet is just awesome, great variety with great taste.
nice variety of snacks and Desi Sweets
They got the best sweets and so many different kinds of variety to choose from.
This is the spot for the south asian sweets. I went to a few shops in the neighborhood and this place has the best ones. $12.50 per pound.
Absolutely love this place ??
Yes, the workers could use some customer service skills but this review is solely on the goods, not the services. The Metai is tasty! We bought a lot to take back home (different state) with us. My favorite is the Cham Cham. It's a small shop and the line is toward the end, not the beginning as you enter the shop. Seating is limited to about 10 ppl.
They have it all! I didn’t think I could possibly find such authentic and wide variety of goodies. Will be back!
This place always has fresh items no matter what time of the day you visit. This place will literally give you the real taste of Indian Sweets. The best I have had so far in the States.
It used to be very good. Now it’s just okay. Not sure what happened over the course of 2-3 years.
Love it. The Kashmiri tea was amazing as was pastries and samosas. Highly recommend
Great service. Great quality.
One of the best Indian sweets around Jackson Heights and the prices are reasonable. Will definitely visit here again!
Good store, good hours. Their vegetables are not as fresh as patel. Discounts for seniors is a good idea
The best fresh sweets in town
Best quality of Indian sweets available here.
Best Bengali sweets ! Don’t go by the Google review rating of 3.8. I finished 2 lbs in 3 days
Tried the Coconut Jamun for the first time and it didn’t disappoint! It’s $14/lb and i got 1/2 lb .. 5 pcs. But all worth it! Will definitely go back to try more!
I come to this place everything I visit my old hometown. Their sweets (mithai) are the best in my opinion in all of nj/ny. Give or take there are some spots that have 1 variety better than the other but this is as a whole. I always the 2 lb box with gulaab jaamun and rasgullay, Hands down the best. The other sweets are also good.
Got a ras malai from here, it was great.
All varieties of sweets re available. The taste of kazu burfi is not good.
Had samosa chat here. It was good.
Wide variety of indian sweets and they also provide some savory dine in food options.
Best Indian sweet shop in NYC and Jersey City combined in my opinion. Tried the bengali kalakand, small rasagulla and kesar laddu. All very delicious and authentic in taste. Highly recommend!
The coconut jamun is delicious!!! Sweet and moist. For $14 a pound you get about 9-10 treats. My only regret is that I didn’t get more.
Never a disappointment!
I went here for lunch with my family and I really enjoyed it. I forgot to take photos. I will definitely go back here again. I highly recommend Maharaja sweets.
First time visit to this pure vegetarian restaurant with large variety of Indian food including snacks like papdi chat, samosas, many types of Indian sweets, chole bhature, punjabi fixed thali and a la carte, reasonably priced. The serving is huge. Loved the papdi chat. Samosas were piping hot but the stuffing masalas can be improved. Next time , once again for me.
I bought some sweets to take home. Was not at all impressed by the sweet quality which was mostly very sweet and sugary lacking the taste and flavor of good quality sweets like I used to get back in India. I bought Karachi halwa, kalakund and some pistachio with red centered sweets. The sweets lacked flavor and I was disappointed. No flavor of spice such as cinnamon and cardamom. I guess they are economising on spice but the sweets weren't cheap. I bought tastier sweets from the frozen section of Patel Bros for half of the price i paid at Maharaja.
Everything here was Yummy
One of the best places to shop for freshly made Indian sweets. They have a wide variety of selection and they are made well but are slightly on the pricier side. One will have a hard time selecting. They also have curries for take out mainly but there is a limited amount of seating as well. The staff are courteous but this place is always busy so one should be prepared for some amount of brusqueness.
Best Indian sweets and samosas in North America
Alright my bad. Maharaja is #1. It beats Raja sweets.
So many varieties of Indian Style Sweats, found some Indian Bengali Style Sweets too like Kalakand, Malai Chamcham etc. . Bought some mix match varieties of sweets. Very fresh & tasty. They are vegetarian restaurant, so they also have Samosas & other vegetarian entrees dishes as well.
Very nice sweets. Love it!
Prices and quantity are reasonable. I ate chole bhature. Halwa and chole tasted good, bhaturas were big but a little greasy. The sweets are delicious.
go out of my way to get the sweets I need from here whenever I'm back.
Their sweets are great, always fresh and done right. Their food is okay. The place is very tight always busy.
Was very busy little confusing to get in line but afterwards everything was fine…. Very good sweets go to place when you in Jackson heights..
Mashallah
The mithai is on point! My to go spot as always. It always fresh and delicious. No smell or soggy at all. I’ve had their vegetarian dishes as well. 10/10. Huge lines time to time but so worth it.
Good
Great place for variety of sweets. Especially during the festival. fresh and nice sweets
Love the large variety of sweets they have. Their motichur ladoo is the best ladoo I have eaten in NYC so far. Also, I had chhole bhature and masala dosa thali here. They were tasty.
Best Indian sweets in Jackson Height
The best mithai in the whole NY
Best sweets in NYC.
Delicious Indian desserts, especially the Motichoor Ladoos. All other mithai is freshly made.
There sweets are great. Price is ok. They are running the shop as most of people run at Jackson Heights. No lines, anyone can chime in and start to order. Suggestion to owner is that they should expand there shop area. We got special baskets made for ceremony that were decent.
Seems they have increased the price of Indian desserts
Great vegeterian spot in Queens
This is my go-to for indian sweets. The workers here were really nice. You can get different kinds of sweet in a box as they sell it by weight. Will always visit again and again :)
Very unprofessional staff cleaned the table without asking have I finished or not and more over I was asked to change the seat despite starting my food. Need to change utensils and furniture specially uneven tables.
I have been going there for over 15 to 20 years They have the best Indian mithai ( sweets ) in Northeastern USA . My main reason for this post was they didn't have a proper menu on their web site so I thought it will be helpful to put up their latest menu online. It's a pure vegetarian restaurant and the indian ???? dishes are super authentic. It's not fine dining but they could easily beat out the competition if they had fine dining In a way that's good so the owner Mr Singh ( a very very pleasant person) can concentrate hands on running of this place .
It’s my favorite spot for aloo paratha and veg soup
Good
The sweet shop is good. The sweets are closer to authentic taste and feel fresh. It is usually crowded. There is eat in place inside with lots of vegetarian menus. Overall a great place. To improvise, sweet shop staff can be more efficient.
Amazing sweets
Love there, samosas, sweet
Good quality Indian/Pakistani sweetmeats. Perhaps a little on the too sweet side, of the several types, i tried. Quite crowded on the weekends so you might need to wait before you get served. Small narrow seating area towards the back, but rather dated & doesn't give the best appearance of cleanliness, if you are in the mood to sit down and have a bite For orders over a hundred dollars, the shopkeepers insist on cash rather than credit/ debit cards
Good sweets
Sweets are good, but service is really bad.. the lady at the counter seemed like she didn’t want to be there.. extremely rude..
Never thought I'd come across such good Indian sweet shop in NYC, pleasantly surprised and pleased. The food is good and worth multiple trips to try their other stuff, which imma do myself. ????
The owner and his wife are amazing people who are running the store and share their love by making these amazing sweets. A huge variety of tasty meethai and a must visit place if you are in the area.
Great Bengali sweets! Haven’t had a taste similar to back in India until eating here. Would recommend not too much on sweeter side
Extremely crowded with very slow service. Food was great though.
So far its ok
Best South Asian sweets. They really need some prompt front desk employee.
Yummy aloo tikki chat
Cool place filled with Indian street foods and treats. Highly recommend the kaju pistachio roll.
This is one of my favorite Indian food spots in Queens. It’s nothing spectacular: just delicious, vegetarian food and kind, courteous service. The seating is limited, accommodating a maximum of about 18 adults. If you’re visiting for the first time or dining solo, I recommend trying their thali! It’s a filling and satisfying meal, which includes two vegetables, dal, rice, roti or naan, raita, papad, salad, and a sweet.
Delicious sweets and no nonsense quick service. We’ll definitely be back!
Delicious!! We got the halwa puri and samosa chaat and it came so fast! Vijay was SO attentive and sweet! The rasmalai and chai was really good! Definitely coming back! Great prices too!!
Sweets, samosas and halwa are excellent but they are because very pricey now.
Delicious food. Value for money. Excellent customer service.
Food quality varies imo! I used love their Jalebi but recently they have a nasty after taste takes like stinky old oil! I am sure they don't use fresh oil for frying Jalebi anymore! Some of the sweets have too much sugar and you can feel crunchy sugar grains! They increased the price but lowered the quality a lot!
Worthy
amazing samosa
The place to come for delicious authentic sweets. Packaged in beautiful boxes.
You wait like you're on welfare
Amazing chai, the sweetness compliments the spiciness. It was very delicious and the wait was only 5 min long.
Good sweets, service okay
Gajar ki barfi is great. Had Poori Aloo for breakfast. It tasted great.
Good indian taste
Food here is always amazing, front staff maybe have an attitude sometimes but with how good the food is it can be overlooked. Space is a bit cramped on busier days but once again can be overlooked
Great food, simple service, but always smiling. The sweets are amazing and probably the best I have found in New York City. Does Somoza are also high class and so are the Pakoras. Chole Batura To be recommended. I would eat here any day for vegetarian food, and sweets.
Delicious sweets and amazing variety.
Good Indian food amd best sweets in Jackson heights
The vegetarian thali is my favorite here, and the sweets are absolutely delightful.
Maharaja Sweets is a hidden gem for anyone craving authentic Indian sweets. Although the shop is small and humble in size, the quality of their sweets is top-notch. Each bite feels fresh and packed with traditional flavors that transport you straight to India. Whether you're looking for classics like gulab jamun, kaju katli, or laddoos, they nail the balance of sweetness and texture every time. The staff is friendly and always willing to help you choose the perfect treat. If you're a fan of Indian sweets or just want to try something new, Maharaja Sweets is worth a visit!
This is some really good Indian sweet in the area. Place always pack with people. I have tried most of the sweet from and I like it. If your planning to go relative house and need sweet this is the place. If you have car very convenient from four borrow but hard to find parking on weekends. There is train stations 7,F,E,M train available.
Great food, great spicy taste if you want, great service definitely worth it ????????????Go for it
I wish I wasn't so full from all the amazing food I ate at Raja Sweets and then I could have tried more of the stuff here. I had Kulfi Faluda and it was good.
The place is a bit cramped, the alleys stay crowded with take away queue that it becomes hard to enter. we tried thali, very tasty and particularly recommended if you want non-spicy food. the staff is very well behaved and would help you to choose and dine, and they are fast. the sweets are out of thr world, with a very huge line of options to select from.
nice
It's a great taste of Indian sweets. We purchased Jaleebies and Lad's, which are full of taste.
Been buying sweets for catering purposes from them for many years. They never let me down. Thanks Cynthia and team
So far good. Thali is for vegetarian
Great sweets!
Nice Punjabi speaking woman she is excellent nice place to get all sweets in one
Located in the heart of Jackson Heights, Maharaja Sweets is a vibrant spot for authentic Indian sweets and snacks. The moment you step inside, the aroma of fresh jalebis, samosas, and rich curries fills the air. It’s a modest but clean place, with a display counter full of colorful, traditional sweets like gulab jamun, rasgulla, kajukatli, and motichoor ladoos that instantly take you back to the streets of India. Their chaat items are a must-try—crisp, tangy, and full of flavor. I tried the pani puri and aloo tikki chaat, both of which were fresh and satisfying. The masala chai is also well-balanced and served hot, perfect for a quick tea break. Service is quick and friendly. Prices are reasonable, especially considering the portion sizes. It’s popular with both local South Asians and anyone craving Indian street food and desserts. While the seating is limited and basic, it’s more of a grab-and-go or quick-stop type of place. For festivals or special occasions, their assorted sweet boxes are beautifully packed and well received. If you’re in Jackson Heights and want a taste of authentic Indian flavors, Maharaja Sweets is worth a visit.
Mazedar mitheyai Delicious sweets ??
A great spot to grab Desi sweets, my go to!
Everything is good but recently you changed your packaging and I always send it to my friends in other countries, the box was not strong and it got damaged , so please bring back the old packaging which is durable and strong....Thank you
Fire dosa!
It was very oily.
Such delicious mithai
I really enjoyed eating sweets and pani puri. Good atmosphere and good taste.
Very good food and specially vijay is a great server .
We went recently for quick brunch and had two types of parathas. The place has limited seating area, but the service was great. Plenty of sweet and snack options. We will go again.
??
We are not there to get their laddos or samosas for free they need to learn to behave with paying customers and not be rude
Yummy and clean
Somebody requested me to buy sweets from here so , taste was just good but not like great !
Was very busy little confusing to get in line but afterwards everything was fine…. Very good sweets go to place when you in Jackson heights..
HIGHLY RECOMMEND PLACE! They are pure vegetarian restaurant and GOOD QUALITY food. I have tryed vegetarian thali, samosas, masala dose and sweets like ladoo.THIS IS MY GO-TO PLACE.
Nice Punjabi speaking woman she is excellent nice place to get all sweets in one
Great food, simple service, but always smiling. The sweets are amazing and probably the best I have found in New York City. Does Somoza are also high class and so are the Pakoras. Chole Batura To be recommended. I would eat here any day for vegetarian food, and sweets.
It's a great taste of Indian sweets. We purchased Jaleebies and Lad's, which are full of taste.
The place to come for delicious authentic sweets. Packaged in beautiful boxes.
I really enjoyed eating sweets and pani puri. Good atmosphere and good taste.
This is one of my favorite Indian food spots in Queens. It’s nothing spectacular: just delicious, vegetarian food and kind, courteous service.
This place is a neighborhood favorite. Highly recommend to come here and find some Indian sweet treats.
I have been going to this place for Indian sweets for at least 15 years or more. I like their carrot halwa. If you warm it little bit then it is even better. They have fresh food as well for someone who wants to dine in. Overall good place to eat if you are in Jackson heights south east Asian Market.
The owner and his wife are amazing people who are running the store and share their love by making these amazing sweets. A huge variety of tasty meethai and a must visit place if you are in the area.
Been buying sweets for catering purposes from them for many years. They never let me down. Thanks Cynthia and team

Customers waiting too long what they never respond
Too expensive .. the baloo shahi was really bad
Restroom is not clean enough . Rest is 4 Star.
Best Indian vegetarian food in Jackson heights
Good food, but nasty store environment
OK Food, good location, enough parking.
Some Bangladeshi flavored sweets are great.
I love this place... home town sweets are there
Food is very good, however the service sucks!
Good food, good prices, decent service...simple decor...
Great sweets but small location with very little parking
Decent. Good sweets but on the drier side for my taste.
Good but expensive and very sweet like soaked in sugar.
Tried Veg thali.. it was okeish.. Samosha and gulab jamun was awesome !
The staff is extremely rude. Especially that old brown lady who thinks she knows everything, when she does not even know how to speak English. Food is okay.
Good sweets but slow service (10/24/2020)
Allrite, you get what you expect, it the sweet roshwagolla was good so go there and try for your self.
Management and staff need to learn some manner with guest .
Good pure vegetarian place. Not so good food except samosa
It used to be very good. Now it’s just okay. Not sure what happened over the course of 2-3 years.
Cleanliness was good, few sweets were also good. Overall taste was very disappointing though.
Ok food and good variety of Indian sweets, the service inside the restaurant could be better.
The sweets taste good but only of gujarati style not all around Indian food
They used to be very good for sweets. But unfortunately somehow their quality is gradually going down.
Their desserts are really good but service is very bad. Their service is very very slow. If you are in a hurry don’t go!!!
Amazing sweets! But we almost bought sweets for $45 and they told only cash which is so disappointing.
Extremely crowded with very slow service. Food was great though.
A good places to go for authentic Indian food that's not overpriced. Although me being from India I have little high standards since I know the food well, but I would definitely give it a shot.
Very good food. Only suggestion: don't cheap out on serving size of something like papadams! It comes across as super super cheap and kinda makes me not wanna come back. Give two papadams so the cuatomer doesnt have to ask. They dont cost much more than a single cent each
I have visited the place thrice.
Sweets, samosas and halwa are excellent but they are because very pricey now.
Very unprofessional staff cleaned the table without asking have I finished or not and more over I was asked to change the seat despite starting my food. Need to change utensils and furniture specially uneven tables.
They have the best sweets in New York But the customer service is absolutely horrible. Been going here for yearsss, and it’s always super crowded. You always have to wait in line for like half an hour at least, no one greets you, and not a good place to dine in.
Good to know that in newyork you can have sweets. I will say its 6/10 in taste.
Seems they have increased the price of Indian desserts
I bought some sweets to take home. Was not at all impressed by the sweet quality which was mostly very sweet and sugary lacking the taste and flavor of good quality sweets like I used to get back in India. I bought Karachi halwa, kalakund and some pistachio with red centered sweets. The sweets lacked flavor and I was disappointed. No flavor of spice such as cinnamon and cardamom. I guess they are economising on spice but the sweets weren't cheap. I bought tastier sweets from the frozen section of Patel Bros for half of the price i paid at Maharaja.
Sweets are good, the taste of some food is not even close taste to pak india or bang. But is good mini desi shop.
Good one for indian sweets. I loved their chole bhature but did not get laddoo made in ghee. One suggestion, if you buy in bulk, please try one and then go for the sweet you like ??
Good stuff but need to work on service!!!
Best sweets in Jackson heights area.
Great place with great choice of sweets
Nice folks here and a great selection of sweets!
Tasty.. A little expensive ....but sometimes, it gets really busy.. You need to wait in a queue...
Surprisingly most delicious sweets available here in NY.
Nice taste of food but it conjusted with people always....
The sweets are good. But it's always crowded.
Excellent Bengali Indian sweets. Good vegetarian food.
Good customer services and loved special chaat and dahi puri...
Yummy Indian Sweets. But little costly than other Indian place.
Good variety, just about everything is delicious, but mithai is kind of pricey.
Service was great he did suggest us and make fresh Indian chai
My meal was delicious. Very friendly staff, and fast service.
Fantastic sweets great taste. The best in newyork so far
Nice sweets options and chats and other option are good too. Prices are good as well.
Love the place. Great Desi style food and the place is pretty clean.
Love their Mithai, only place in whole USA for the best indian sweets.
Good clean sweet shop. I go there for malai chum chum cuz no one can make better than maharaja
Sweets are great and fresh(5 star)! Savories are good (4 star)!
Variety of indian street food and sweets
Great place for Indian Desserts, very cheap Indian food too. For me dessert may be bit expensive.
Best Indian sweet I ever had. Very fresh and a lot of choice.
some of their sweets are awesome. Beware their price for sit in much much higher than the price for to go for the same sweets.
I can give them 5 stars for the food and sweets but there service is not great.
Bought some samosas and sweets. Food was good but service was very slow.
Great authentic vegetarian Indian food. Great samossas. the sweets are also of very good quality
Their sweets are good, but food is highly okay. Nothing great about the food. Love their rasmalai!
One of good option for the vegetarian .It is primarily a sweet shop but it also serve pure vegetarian thali . But don't expect much from thali , but you can samosa here .
Best gulabjamun / Malai chomchom in NJ/NY. Not all sweets are extremely good but they out do every one else on the above.
Great place to buy fresh indian sweets. Service is little slow and not welcoming. But worth the wait.
Food is amazing and the sweets are even better. However, they recently got a B rating by the department of health & hygiene which is concerning.
Clean but cramped place Large selection of sweets. Other food items and service range from mediocre to fair. Think of it as a decent Indian fast-food place.
They have the best samosas and sweets! It’s my favorite place to go to for these things although it is slow and crowded it’s worth it.
That have got every sort of sweets you can think of. I was amazed myself. Everything is good except their customer service is horrible. Always a long wait because the staffs are too busy talking to each other on the other.
Best Mithai Laddoos. Dahi bhalla and papri chat is good also but v small portions. Highly Recommended for their all sorts of delicious Mithai and Best Laddoos and other savouries and snacks
Love love love their sweets. So tried their cholay bhature but not to the expectation. The place gets really crowded during the Diwali time.
Good store, good hours. Their vegetables are not as fresh as patel. Discounts for seniors is a good idea
It’s a decent and cheap place that fulfills the quench for quick Nepali/Indian snacks and desserts. Looks a little dirty just like other food places in Jackson height considering the density of crowd places like this gets day in and day out.
Great samosa but they don’t give enough chutneys which disappoints me a little bit but overall great samosa great jalebi
Have a good assortment of sweets. U can mix and match a lot of variety and they sell by the pound. So easy to try to different flavours. Such a simple and great idea
Small store serving South Asian food and desserts (I only went for the desserts). They have a very wide range of sweet, sweet desserts to cure any sweet tooth craving, and for a small box of mixed selections to share, it costs me about $8 (it was about 1 lb).
Their sweets are good! Decent selection of Indian sweets that are well-priced. I tried their chaats once and was not a fan, however. The dahi puris I tried lacked freshness and flavors werent quite right.
Delicious food. Value for money. Excellent customer service.
Their sweets are great, always fresh and done right. Their food is okay. The place is very tight always busy.
5 stars for the sweets but then -1 star for poor customer service. We got so many sweets which were put on foil tray and I asked for few boxes which would usually come with sweets but they refused to do that. Later they only gave 7 boxes which were barely enough.
After our foray into the eats of Jackson Heights we wanted something sweet and nothing like trying out some Indian desserts. The food seems good here but we were after what was behind the light out glass counter in the front. The endless arrays of different sweets which temps you. While I can’t even frankly say I remember what we picked. But one was round one was square and one had nuts and honey. What I can say is that they were all good. Some might be great for the sweet tooth person and some had just the right amount. Either way I don’t think you can go wrong just to randomly pick something that looks good to the eyes. Even if you don’t like the choice it doesn’t hurt the pocket book so go ahead try something.
Definitely offer the best tasting samosas in the city, not just in Queens. The front is lined up with an impressive and celebrated collection of sweets! This is where you get Diabetes! Also serves tasty vegetarian delights with seating in the back.
Sweets are good, but service is really bad.. the lady at the counter seemed like she didn’t want to be there.. extremely rude..
All varieties of sweets re available. The taste of kazu burfi is not good.
Food here is always amazing, front staff maybe have an attitude sometimes but with how good the food is it can be overlooked. Space is a bit cramped on busier days but once again can be overlooked
YUM. I only knew that I vaguely liked Indian sweets, but I'm unfamiliar with the names and types. I put my fate in the hands of the shop attendant and got two pounds of assorted yummies! Delicious and I learned some names at this bright, clean, friendly neighborhood spot.
I wish I wasn't so full from all the amazing food I ate at Raja Sweets and then I could have tried more of the stuff here. I had Kulfi Faluda and it was good.
I went here for lunch with my family and I really enjoyed it. I forgot to take photos. I will definitely go back here again. I highly recommend Maharaja sweets.
Prices and quantity are reasonable. I ate chole bhature. Halwa and chole tasted good, bhaturas were big but a little greasy. The sweets are delicious.
Tried the Coconut Jamun for the first time and it didn’t disappoint! It’s $14/lb and i got 1/2 lb .. 5 pcs. But all worth it! Will definitely go back to try more!
So far good. Thali is for vegetarian
This is some really good Indian sweet in the area. Place always pack with people. I have tried most of the sweet from and I like it. If your planning to go relative house and need sweet this is the place. If you have car very convenient from four borrow but hard to find parking on weekends. There is train stations 7,F,E,M train available.

Very solid Indian comfort food. The sweets are good and everything on the menu tastes like home.
Best Indian vegetarian place in Jackson Heights.
Delicious, fresh sweets. Good selection, friendly, patient service. Line builds up but always moves fast. Highly recommended.
Hands down best desi sweets. Staff is extremely friendly as well. Once you buy sweets here you will never buy sweets anywhere else.
Awesome place for authentic sweets and food items. One of the best that I had in entire US so far; I have lived in 5 states
Got a ras malai from here, it was great.
THE PLACE to go for Indian sweets - burfi? rasmalai? gulab jamun? milk cake? Gimme all of them! Great veg snacks, too, like samosas mixtures, too.
Really nice indian sweets. Food is decent . Halwa puri was a bit on the pricey side and they serve you about 3 teaspoons of halwa which is a bit cruel
The food was so tasty and fresh. I will be coming back for sure. Sweets are not overly sweet they are delicious.
Excellent quality. Very fancy looking. Perfect for any occasions. But its got pricey now. Each pound $10 & more.
Delicious Indian desserts, especially the Motichoor Ladoos. All other mithai is freshly made.
This is the spot for the south asian sweets. I went to a few shops in the neighborhood and this place has the best ones. $12.50 per pound.
I haven’t had their food yet but I have had their sweets. Very delicious and very popular place. Top notch ????
I used to go to another place n was ok but not satisfying until i found maharaja sweets. Its the best n its always fresh as u can say by eating d delicious sweets to everything dey have. Anybody who likes sweets should go to maharaja sweets. The best.
Amazing burfi sweet collection. Yes you can dine in and the new guy who served us food is super sweet and kind. Yummy food for a good price
One of the best Indian sweets around Jackson Heights and the prices are reasonable. Will definitely visit here again!
My best place in Jackson Heights. If you're vegetarian and needs a high quality place to eat an amazing food, that's the place ! Just try everything they have . And staff are lovely and so polite!
Ive been going here for almost 15 years. And its never a dull time or experience. They have a wide variety of traditional desi sweets and vaggie dishes. Highly Recommend the Ras Malai.
Great place for variety of sweets. Especially during the festival. fresh and nice sweets
Best Masala Dosa best gobi parantha and best paanipuri. This place have done a very good job on food and the host Tony is always at his best. I suggest everybody to have little talk with Tony about your taste and he will make sure that you leave this place satisfy.
Best South Asian sweets. They really need some prompt front desk employee.
———- Amazing food . It's all fresh. There is a bit of a wait because everything is so from scratch but it's so worth it. Awesome service, very homely. honestly amazing and such a great food.
Pure Veg Restaurant. Nice people. Huge selection of dishes and Indian sweets. Very tasty. Reasonable. No Meat, Fish, Egg etc. No risk of cross contamination.
Their food in general is amazing and truly authentic, great samosas, vegetable curries, cholay - everything was delicious! Also, best gulab jamun I have tasted in a long time, its worth the trip for the gulab jamun alone!
Love the sweets and snacks the service is amazing I feel comfortable purchasing here since it is a vegetarian restaurant and I am vegetarian myself, highly recommended to anyone who wants to give Indian food a try especially to those who are vegetarian
Walk into this magical place and you'll be wowed by the display of indian sweets in the forms of balls and sandwiches and cubes. I came here just to get 2lbs (about 5 different kinds, 4 pieces each) of dessert for a retirement party at work -- coworker was Indian, so I had to impress her with my knowledge of Indian food. Of course, I had to get some ras malai for myself. Got 6 pieces of those... Total: $31 Credit card minimum: $10
The best sweets in JH -- not too sweet and always fresh. Yummy food as well. Great dosas and tali's. efficient staff. there is a reason this place is often crowded. But note that you can often get a table to eat even if the line to buy sweets is out the door.
The most authentic mithai place in USA. The sweets are really fresh and the staff takes their time in giving you samples and explaining the menu. Highly recommended: jalebi, gulab Jamun, cham cham, dodha, kalakand and barfi. Not recommended: their cafe items were meh like samosa, chaat and all.
I have been going to Maharaja sweets for almost 15 yrs since I can to New York. I tried sweets from many stores. By far Maharaja sweets is the best. Tasmania is one of my favorite.
Loved the store. Very organized unlike Premium. Name and price tag of the sweet makes it easier for customer to choose. Overall very good store have lots of collection. Thank you
Super Indian sweets shop in the capital of Indian food in Jackson Heights.
If you are looking for authentic taste for your sweets, this is the place to go. Huge variety of Pakistani, Indian and Bengali sweets. This is the best you can get in USA. All sweets made on premise. Their Gulab Jaman gets the trophy.
Delicious sweets and no nonsense quick service. We’ll definitely be back!
Best Bengali sweets ! Don’t go by the Google review rating of 3.8. I finished 2 lbs in 3 days
Fantastic selection of fresh mithai/sweets and savory snacks!
The sweets are the best among all sweet shops in queens and Long Island. Very fresh and no artificial color/ flavor. I know owner personally and he make sweets himself so that’s good point.
It's a treat for eyes and taste buds as well. Amazing Indian sweets you world have never tasted before. But if you are a day lover try their samosas and two types of bread pakoras-regular and paneer.
These are the best Indian sweets in the area. The staff is kind and helpful. The lines are often long but love quickly, and anyway that is to be expected in a place with a wide and excellent tasting selection of dessert sweets.
Great sweets and food options to eat inside.
Cool place filled with Indian street foods and treats. Highly recommend the kaju pistachio roll.
Love it. I'm vegetarian and been coming here for many years. Never have to worry, here it's a matter of religion. Not a molecule of meat in this joint! Delicious and as long as they are open, I'm here. I come from Flushing though there's an Indian restaurant 300 ft across the street from building hahahaha
Great South Asian sweat shop. Especially famous for Indian & Bangladeshi flavors. Price is little bit higher than other neighbouring shops but taste is unbelievable. Definitely you would love it.
Best Indian sweet shop in NYC and Jersey City combined in my opinion. Tried the bengali kalakand, small rasagulla and kesar laddu. All very delicious and authentic in taste. Highly recommend!
Alright my bad. Maharaja is #1. It beats Raja sweets.
This place always has fresh items no matter what time of the day you visit. This place will literally give you the real taste of Indian Sweets. The best I have had so far in the States.
Gajar ki barfi is great. Had Poori Aloo for breakfast. It tasted great.
Best sweets I have tasted in all of New York and New Jersey. Very long wait time and parking is very hard to find. But worth the weight and parking trouble. Sweets are NOT over filled with sugar as you might expect from Desi sweets. Definitely will go back there.
The coconut jamun is delicious!!! Sweet and moist. For $14 a pound you get about 9-10 treats. My only regret is that I didn’t get more.
Delicious sweets as well as savory snacks!
Wide variety of indian sweets and they also provide some savory dine in food options.
This place is Authentic Punjabi Indian sweets and delicacies it is the best I have ever tried in America so far!!!
Love the large variety of sweets they have. Their motichur ladoo is the best ladoo I have eaten in NYC so far. Also, I had chhole bhature and masala dosa thali here. They were tasty.
The mithai is on point! My to go spot as always. It always fresh and delicious. No smell or soggy at all. I’ve had their vegetarian dishes as well. 10/10. Huge lines time to time but so worth it.
Amazing chai, the sweetness compliments the spiciness. It was very delicious and the wait was only 5 min long.
Chole bhature, super delicious especially with mango lassi. Very nice portion. Super nice stuff. Great pani puris as well ????
This is my go-to for indian sweets. The workers here were really nice. You can get different kinds of sweet in a box as they sell it by weight. Will always visit again and again :)
They got the best sweets and so many different kinds of variety to choose from.
Beautifully decorated and packed sweets. Fresh and excellent quality. Always come here for any sweets / mishti purchases.
Excellent service behind the counter. The ladies are very sweet. Sweets are also delish. Curries and snacks are all on point. Nice little vegetarian restaurant.
They have it all! I didn’t think I could possibly find such authentic and wide variety of goodies. Will be back!
The vegetarian thali is my favorite here, and the sweets are absolutely delightful.
Variety Of Sweets & Vegetarian Food. Just Loved It.
Great Bengali sweets! Haven’t had a taste similar to back in India until eating here. Would recommend not too much on sweeter side
There sweets are great. Price is ok. They are running the shop as most of people run at Jackson Heights. No lines, anyone can chime in and start to order. Suggestion to owner is that they should expand there shop area. We got special baskets made for ceremony that were decent.
The sweet shop is good. The sweets are closer to authentic taste and feel fresh. It is usually crowded. There is eat in place inside with lots of vegetarian menus. Overall a great place. To improvise, sweet shop staff can be more efficient.
HIGHLY RECOMMEND PLACE! They are pure vegetarian restaurant and GOOD QUALITY food. I have tryed vegetarian thali, samosas, masala dose and sweets like ladoo.THIS IS MY GO-TO PLACE.
Was very busy little confusing to get in line but afterwards everything was fine…. Very good sweets go to place when you in Jackson heights..
It's a great taste of Indian sweets. We purchased Jaleebies and Lad's, which are full of taste.
The place to come for delicious authentic sweets. Packaged in beautiful boxes.
I have been going to this place for Indian sweets for at least 15 years or more. I like their carrot halwa. If you warm it little bit then it is even better. They have fresh food as well for someone who wants to dine in. Overall good place to eat if you are in Jackson heights south east Asian Market.
The owner and his wife are amazing people who are running the store and share their love by making these amazing sweets. A huge variety of tasty meethai and a must visit place if you are in the area.
This place is a neighborhood favorite. Highly recommend to come here and find some Indian sweet treats.
Delicious!! We got the halwa puri and samosa chaat and it came so fast! Vijay was SO attentive and sweet! The rasmalai and chai was really good! Definitely coming back! Great prices too!!
Great food, great spicy taste if you want, great service definitely worth it ????????????Go for it
Been buying sweets for catering purposes from them for many years. They never let me down. Thanks Cynthia and team
This response is by Jassi Singh, i used to work here and the employees are really nice and owner is really nice. Also sweets and the snacks are really yummy and are fresh.
Delicious, fresh sweets. Good selection, friendly, patient service. Line builds up but always moves fast. Highly recommended.
My favorite place to buy indian sweets. If you want indian sweets, this is best place. Their samosas are best as well.
Lovely restaurant with authentic home made food, just like mom's cooking.
Clean and friendly. Delicious Sweets too!
Inexpensive and good food. Staff is very friendly.
Their sweets are good, but food is highly okay. Nothing great about the food. Love their rasmalai!
very good selection of indian and bengali sweets , and veg food is outstanding , love their samosa chat.
Authentic Indian chat place. They also have other Curry options, but we did not try them. The food was tasty and delicious. Will definitely try again if I am in the area.
Best Indian sweets! Fresh and lots of variety
Best sweets I have tasted in all of New York and New Jersey. Very long wait time and parking is very hard to find. But worth the weight and parking trouble. Sweets are NOT over filled with sugar as you might expect from Desi sweets. Definitely will go back there.
