From the Business:I have been sewing for over 10 years, starting off with guidance from my mom, and proceeding into the high school fashion program, where my teacher encouraged me to go further with fashion. I graduated from Olds College with a diploma in Costume Cutting and Construction in 2012, where I learned advanced couture sewing techniques and custom pattern making. Fresh out of school, I started doing basic alterations to fill my time and keep my sewing machine going. As I got my feet wet in the stitching business, I started to do minor work on wedding attire and I never stopped. I fell in love with the complexity of wedding gowns and the never ending variety that they offer. Every single gown is built differently and fits differently on every body, so my job is ever changing and gives me a learning opportunity every single day. I have a passion for impeccable workmanship and the perfect fit. Custom design and sewing is my favourite part of the business. Going from sketch, to pattern, to the perfect fitting dress gives me so much excitement and satisfaction. I have done all sorts of custom sewing jobs from Halloween costumes, dog costumes, bridesmaids dresses, flower girl dresses, and a wedding dress.
