Saree Draping: The saree was draped with absolute precision and elegance. Since it was a 9 yard saree extra care had to be taken when draping with measurement and required Tamil Iyer Style. It stayed perfectly in place throughout the event and looked both traditional and stylish with well pleated pallu over my shoulder. Vidhya was skilled, quick, and knew exactly how to enhance my body type with the right way of draping the madisar. Makeup: The makeup was flawless! It was done tastefully, without being over-the-top. Vidhya paid close attention to my skin tone and preferences, resulting in a look that was both natural and camera-ready. I had booked Monalisha Salon & Spa for my brother's wedding for a few of us. Jyoti and her daughter came to our hotel, prepared with everything we needed for hair, makeup, and sari wearing services. They were very affordable, incredibly professional and super talented. We did not feel rushed and at the same time were out the door and on time as we scheduled our services to be. I would highly recommend them for anyone in the Houston area for wedding services. I live in the east coast and am not familiar with the Houston area at all. I was nervous about who to book and how it would all turn out -- but it was perfect and Jyoti was very prompt in communicating to ensure I felt at ease. We never had services for little girls (hair) which were added on at the last minute and they were happy to oblige and be flexible. Thank you so much for making the special day turn out perfectly!

Someone looking at my review might ask themselves why an African American woman is going to an Indian specialty salon. The answer is simple, I went in because my Black, White, Scottish, Mongolian, Hungarian, Irish, Bohemian daughter had very thick curly hair and I use under the impression that her hair texture might be pretty close to what the styles at this salon have experience working with. Well guess what, I was half right. Thought the styles were at first a bit apprehensive about tackling the thick tangled jungle that is my angles crown they were all extremely respectful and caring. I brought my daughter in for a haircut for her 6th birthday and she got treated like a Princess! We will definitely be clients here for a long time.

I did an organic facial with Chetna. She was so kind and informative as it was my first facial. I was surprised on how smooth my skin came out to be. A few marks on my skin has even faded away. I usually come for my eyebrows here which everyone does an amazing job. However, now I have to add a facial for sure when stopping by again. Everyone is so friendly and helpful. Truly one of the best services I’ve gotten.

I have been here about 4 times now. They customer service is wonderful! I highly recommend this place for men's eyebrows. The staff members are very friendly and professional. They are also taking good COVID-19 precautions, so you will definitely feel safe. This place is a little out of the way for me compared to the previous salon I would go to, but the pricing and great service make it worth the drive! Amazing salon hands down! I just got my eyebrows done for the first time and they didn't even hurt! And was only $5! I am so glad with the results and will definitely be coming back! Vidhya tied everything together the day of my brother's wedding. She tied all of the sarees for the bridesmaids beautifully without having seen them. My experience with Ms. Vidhya was absolutely wonderful. From the beginning she was very communicative and asks you all the right questions to get your vision for wedding day just perfect. I requested strip lash extension application for my sparsely lashed eyes and I have had experiences with prior artists who could not get the lashes on correctly for my East Asian eyes, but during our trial Vidhya applied a technique to make the lashes look amazing and perfectly curled. And these lashes stayed on all day for nearly 24 hours. The rest of the makeup had excellent staying power as well. Regarding hair, she has an array of hair jewelry and extensions already so it takes a lot of the planning off your hands. Lastly, her saree draping is incredible. She is meticulous in her preparation and will make sure you look incredible for the big day.
