Tips to deal with condensation in your home, little killing
Wet weather is beautiful indeed. However, it’s not a divine idea to deal with condensation at my home. I’m not a vegan, so glad to kill moulds. Happy to start with garden because I love garden.Lolz. No matter how much I love rain and cold, I cannot take too much of humidity sneaking in.
Don’t let the steam to sneak away!
On top of that it’s not too practical to feel sky rocket high, keeping the bathroom doors open.
Steam escaping from bathroom is the vamp behind condensation. Uhm, I don’t think it’s a brilliant idea to rub the wrong side of saving energy.
Doors function unlike ‘Magic Mike’. They make awesome crumpets, keeping me all cozy. I keep them closed at four romantic spots of the home:
Bathroom, kitchen, garden, backyard
#While bathing; while cooking/boiling; while watering; while cleaning twigs
(The times when moisture sneak into the places those were never kissed by sun)
Fish tanks and pot planters knew their way
A phytomaniac I’m, a life without pot planters is bloody dull. However, I move them out for a while. Eww, black flies trying to dote on them right in my presence isn’t a pleasing sight!
And, condensation is the villain behind such messengers of tombstone.
Let them shimmer for a while. Yes, leaving them in the company of sun would do. Besides, watering them to die in their sleep, sigh!
Indoor pot plants’ cleaning the air and, it’s almost a commandment to grow them at my home. Did I ever mention somewhere that they don’t cause humidity?
So hard to find things that I love so much being subjected to whinging often. Fish tanks, and yes, they should be kept closed.
Control humidity; outsmart pests
A note to be left, humidity and carpets are partners in crime. They share a seedy relationship, which isn’t as sheer as damp attics. One hack I learn to battle humidity is removing them during wet weather. Poor insulation is the recipe for moulds and pests.
Every vent is micromanaged, so humidity is kept at the bay. And “glazing windows” goes without saying.
