Rated 5.0 Arooj Hayat of Arooj's Blooming Cakes exceeded our expectations on this one! We reached out a few weeks ago with an idea - we knew we were doing a mimosas and samosas theme and were looking to have a western ethnic fusion twist in the cake! We started with the idea of a naked cake with fresh flora and then had a what if moment and declared that she loves gulab jamun and gajar ka halwa and how Can I integrate in the cake without taking away from coconut and white chocolate cream cheese because you know why not- arooj came back with this crazy idea Coconut cake with white chocolate cream cheese icing. And then alternating fillings of candied shredded carrot (gajar ka halwa) and cardamom cream (gulab jamun) and for fun a couple of orange jelly slices to add to the mimosa theme and Gulab jamuns of course- and I typed out love and sold about 50 times! Lol - but down to day of actually seeing the cake and tasting it - phenomenal- every single guest absolutely loved it!!! It’s day three today of eating the cake and can’t stop, won’t stop! Thank you arooj for responding to a couple of crazy girls with a crazy idea and making it happen so deliciously
