Indrakanti, Bharathy Subrahmanyam, a professional Carnatic vocalist, hails from a family of musicians from Hyderabad, India. GURUS: Smt. Bharathy was initiated into classical music at the age of 9 by her grandmother, Smt. Seshagiramma. She received further training from Late Sri Ampolu Murali Krishna who was a well-known violinist and vocalist and worked for All India Radio. Smt. Bharathy received advanced training from Mahamahopadhyaya (Late) Dr. Nookala Chinna Satyanarayana and also completed her Master of Arts (M.A.) in Carnatic music under his tutelage from Telugu University, Hyderabad. She was a topper in M.A. music.
