She let us learn and experience the situation ourselves and make decisions that we felt comfortable making. This was important as it built trust. She gave us the facts but let us make the final call. She was also patiently willing to tour a number of houses. Immediately after any house tour, if we expressed interest, she promptly sourced the seller disclosures and inspection reports. In a few cases, she even helped arrange home inspection on short notices. I would have preferred getting regular weekly updates on home prices/sqft of recent sales by different sizes, interior features in specific neighborhood etc. However, before making an offer, she would source the comparables from recent sales in the zip code and also by calling up the agents of pending sales. What we liked was that she was looking out for our interest. She in fact advised us to look away from certain houses that we thought were interesting. Even post mutual agreement, she kept in constant touch and help unblock issues with the bank and in helping us think through upgrades we wanted to do. In fact she helped us get in touch with multiple contractors and ensured that we got the best possible value for our money. Through out the process, she built a personal connection with us and ensured that we had a good experience in a difficult market.
