Foreign Bazaar

Rated 4.0 I never would've walked into this place since the name makes me cringe, but I needed a birthday gift for a friend and happened to noticed some Indian-looking earrings in the store as I walked by. The place seems to be owned by a South Asian family, and they have a wide range of pretty, colorful jewelry. I just checked out the earrings, and they seem to be in the $5-$20 range. Got 2 pairs, which made a great birthday gift!

Rated 4.0 Great place with a large variety of merchandise, the incense selection is huge, the chi of the place draws you in and once there the karma makes you not wanting to leave. Great jewelry, clothing, wraps, and rugs. i go there for my smudging needs. When in the area i always stop in and find something or someone interesting there.

Rated 5.0 Got a cool glass ring and a cool wooden bracelet. I like to add pieces to my collection each spring. There's no shortage of interesting jewelry at Foreign Bazaar. Service is pretty good and prices are surprisingly reasonable. This is one of those places I'm really thankful that there's an actual store because this stuff gets marked up like crazy online. They have so many different pan-asian (and polynesian) things to choose from, but they don't really have leather except for strings.

Rated 4.0 When I walked in, I was greeted by the sweet aroma of incense and the gentle sound of a beautful sitar-enriched mantra playing on a continuous loop throughout the shop. I'm no beader, but the selection of beads was the first thing I noticed - I think it's safe to say this place is a temple for those who enjoy making their own jewellery.

Rated 5.0 I had an Indian event to go to and needed jewelery to wear with my anarkali. The two gentlemen were patient as I waded through their selection of jewelry and honest about price points. Great stuff. Good customer service.

Rated 4.0 I was recently invited to and Indian wedding at a Hindu temple and was in a panic to get a sari for the event. I only had about a week to do so. There aren't many stores in Philadelphia that carry saris. I stumbled upon Foreign Bazaar and decided to check it out. Chanta, the woman who works there was so helpful!

Rated 4.0 Great colletion of imported merchandize. The clothing selection is nice with more sizes and stock in their upstairs storeroom if you need a different size. Great prices too! I purchase a nice top and two pants fro $65.

Rated 3.0 Foreign Bazaar offers some good to excellent quality beading supplies and semi-precious stones, but their prices are through the roof. Maybe it's okay if you're only looking to make one or two pieces of jewelry for yourself, but if you're serious about beading you'll pay up to ten times as much for your supplies here as you will if you order on-line or go to the wholesale district in New York.

Rated 4.0 I needed to find a list of items for a hindu religious service and I really didn't know where to start. The owners were extremely helpful and even suggested some additional things that weren't on the list - which of course were requested on the day of the service!
