About Madhu Mathur Anand Vocalist

Madhu Mathur Anand, a versatile performer, has an extensive repertoire in North Indian traditional, folk and popular vocal music in over a dozen languages. Her mother and teacher, Kanteshwari Mathur, is an accomplished Hindustani classical vocalist. Her father, Mool Raj Mathur, has been her guiding force in promoting her talent. Raised in the US, Anand's interest in western music is just as strong. Anand firmly believes in the healing, therapeutic qualities of music and its significance in the development of the intellect. Madhu Anand attended two years of medical school, works as a Certified Clinical Research Professional and consultant in healthcare/physician education. Anand's son and three daughters (2 are MDs) are all deeply involved in vocal/instrumental music & dance (Bhangra, Garba). They have performed with Madhu since childhood.
