About Nritya Natya Kala Bharti Music Academy

The North Indian Classical music is the ancient Classical music of India whose origins can be traced back to thousands of years ago the scriptures and the Vedas. Traditionally passed on through the Guru/ Shishya (student) generational teachings, this was later classified into 10 different groups or Thaats. This laid the foundation for teaching through a course-oriented methodology. NNKB has been instrumental in keeping the North Indian Classical music tradition alive in the United States. With our Certified teachers and Performing Artists, we have trained generations of North Indian Classical musicians in the US, who have gone on to perform on the stage as concert artists. Our affiliation with the Gandharva Mahavidyalaya of Pune, India, has enabled our students to keep their learning on par with the students in India.
