About Parampara School Of Music

Parampara school of Music, Having been initiated to music at a very early age by her father Sri Amlan Sen, Kasturi grew up in an environment which nurtured music and dance. With constant encouragement from her mother Smt. Kalpana Sen to pursue music the way she wanted to, she completed her Hindustani Classical and Rabindrasangeet training along with her education. For many years, she endevoured to perfect her vocal skills under the able tutelage of Rabindra Sangeet stalwart Dr. Chitralekha Choudhury. She further honed her skills under the guidance of Smt. Swagatalaksmi Dasgupta and Sri Debasish Roy. She started her journey to the Folk genre with the Folk maestro Sri Abhijit Basu. Kasturi has been learning, performing and teaching Hindustani Vocal and light music, semi-classical, folk and contemporary songs for over a decade in India and the US.? Her first music album was "Swadesh", a group performance directed by Dr. Chitralekha Choudhury. Her solo album is "Parer Kheya", directed by Sri. Debasish Roy which has been very well received. Recetly she released her folk album "Piriti Ratan".
