Rachna Bodas is an accomplished Hindustani Classical vocalist blessed with a rich, pure and alluring voice. She has established and earned wide acclaim for her performances in India and abroad. She is a performer trained under Pt. Kashinath Bodas and Vidushi Dr. Smt. Veena Sahasrabuddhe of Gwalior Gharana. Rachna was born in a family where music was always around. She displayed a keen interest in music since childhood and was duly encouraged by her father Shri Ravi Shankar Shukla, an accomplished tabla player in Kanpur.
As a child, Rachna participated in numerous competitions and received awards and applaud for her singing. At the age of 12, she acquired First place in All India Light Vocal Music Competition held in Delhi by Sangam Kala Group. She was judged by Pt. Rajan Sajan Mishra Ji.Rachna has Masterās degree in Music and Sangeet Visharad from Gandharva Mahavidyala Mandal. Besides performing, Rachna also has the zeal to teach aspiring students interested in music. Rachna received Young artist scholarship for Hindustani classical music awarded by the Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India.
