About Sanatan Vidyalay

Sanatan Vidyalay is a weekly Sunday school program run by the SKN Foundation. The goal is to educate the children about their well-being, culture and heritage through lectures and interactive hands-on activities. Children learn about the benefits of yoga for daily living and management of stress. Children also learn about the various cultural celebrations and are able to interact with other children to keep their culture alive. Our mission is to educate our children about the ideals, values, goals and objectives of a life based on Sanatan Dharma through Puranic stories, science of rituals and yoga. Our objective is to work towards an Ideal life comprised of a healthy body with a healthy mind. To pass the values of Sanatan Dharma to future generations and to educate them about Sanatan Dharma. The weekly curriculum held during the calendar school year begins with the recitation of prayers with explanation of their meanings and significance. Common rituals are explained along with discussions about the Bhagvad Geeta at the Hillsborough Center. The classes are sectioned by age with appropriate lessons on culture.
