About Sargam Music School

Sargam Music School is affiliated with Aradhna Sangeet Academy an accredited music institution in India which is affiliated with Gandharva Mahavidhyalaya, Ahemedabad, Gujrat. The students have the option of taking exams and receiving certification of GandharvaMahavidhyalaya, for each exam, progressing towards getting their 'Visharad' degree in North Indian classical music. Sargam Music School offers a well-structured program in North Indian classical, vocal, and light music to students of ages five and above.Students learn to sing and play musical instruments such as keyboard, harmonium and tanpura accompanied by electronic tabla and electronic tanpura. Students begin with the training of ‘alankars’ and proceed with the training of first year ragas. Along with classical training, students also learn semi-classical and light songs comprising bhajans, ghazals, folk songs and songs of their own choice. Students also learn songs in other languages, should they wish to do so.After a suitable period of training and based on teacher’s discretion, students are prepared for stage performances, usually with guest musicians, upon request. Students also get opportunities to perform in recitals and in other community functions from time to time.

Rated 5.0 My daughter and I both learn music from Ms. Poonam Sirohi. We absolutely love the entire experience. She not only follows an extensive curriculum, but also caters to your interests and helps you learn what you want to learn. Poonam didi believes in learning as you perform. She goes above and beyond to get the best performer out of you. I’m a proud member of Sargam Music School. I’m proud to have performed on stage in my first year of learning.

Rated 5.0 Mrs Poonam Sirohi is a dedicated music teacher,who is sincerely interested in the development and progress of her students. My daughter, Anisha, has not only learned singing but is also playing the keyboard and practicing with the electronic Tabla and Tanpura and with the Harmonium.
