Sport BC established SBC Insurance in 1979 to provide affordable accident and liability insurance for British Columbians participating in sport, recreation and leisure activities. For national, provincial and regional sport organizations, SBC Insurance offers sport liability insurance that protects all members of an organization while acting within the scope of their sport-related duties. SBC Insurance also specializes in sport accident insurance, which includes coverage for practices, games and team travel. A single plan covers all participants, managers, coaches, executives and field officials throughout the entire season. In 1997, Sport BC acquired 50 per cent ownership of All Sport Insurance a national sport insurance underwriter, allowing its insurance program and expertise in risk management to expand across Canada. Shradha has been working with SBC Insurance since January 2016. Shradha was born and raised in Nepal and moved to Canada with her family in 2005. She got her diploma in Finance and degree in Accounting from Langara College in Vancouver and is now on the path to get her CGA/CPA designation. She is responsible for the accounting operations of the company. She is also responsible in assisting clients with their insurance needs.
