Seema Kasthuri is a Carnatic Musician from Bangalore, India now settled in St.Louis MO, USA. She learnt Carnatic music in her home town Hassan under the tutelage of Guru Sharada and Vidwan K.R Venkatesh. Blessed with such wonderful teachers and great learning and performing experience, Seema herself teaches Carnatic classical music at Soorya School of Music to students of all ages, in St. Louis MO. Seema’s stuents have performed at places such as Chicago, Cleveland and several venues in St.Louis. Seema has performed solo concerts all over the US in places such as Chicago Lemont temple, Kansas city Hindu temple, Atlanta, LA, Springfield IL, Carbondale, Philadelphia Triveni to name a few. Seema is also a bharatanatyam dancer and along with her husband Guru Prasanna Kasthuri has performed several dance performances. Seema also sings for Bharatanatyam dance arangetram and programs.
