A few days later he returned with the data, and with the hard drive repaired, we were able to install it back in the laptop,which is working fine once again! After such a positive experience, I entrusted my wife's laptop hard drive, which had been physically damaged to Philip. All of her treasured pictures are now safely restored to our desk top computer! Rated 5.0 Shaw Data Recovery is a one-man business being run from the owner's home. I had an internal hard drive fail mechanically, and needed to have the data on it recovered. This was my first time dealing with this scenario, so I didn't have any expectations. Due to the company being a single individual, the attention to my case was extremely personalized and very quickly completed. Not only was Phil (the owner) able to recover all of my data, but I had all of my data back within 1 day. After dropping the drive off, I was back that evening to drop off a second external hard drive for the recovered information to be written to. The next day, after all the data had been transferred from my faulty drive to the secondary I'd left, I showed up and paid, and had my information back in hand. The service IS expensive, but it is pretty much the only option if you've lost important information / pictures / music or media. I paid $450 to get back my info, however after calling around, the same service with the same turn around time would have cost double at competing companies.
