About Socal Tamil Sangam

SoCal Tamil Sangam is a vibrant nonprofit organization dedicated to promoting and preserving Tamil language, culture, and heritage in Southern California. Established to unite the Tamil-speaking community, the Sangam serves as a cultural hub where families come together to celebrate traditions, share knowledge, and foster a sense of belonging away from home. Our mission is to keep the rich Tamil heritage alive for future generations through a wide range of programs and events. From Tamil language classes and cultural workshops to traditional festivals like Pongal, Tamil New Year, and Deepavali celebrations, we create opportunities for children and adults to stay connected to their roots. We also organize music and dance performances, literary forums, community service activities, and youth programs that nurture both cultural pride and social responsibility. SoCal Tamil Sangam is more than an organization—it is a community built on shared values, unity, and the love for Tamil.
