About Sonia Cortez State Farm Agent 

My name is Sonia, and my state farm agency is in Black Diamond, WA, just outside of Maple Valley. My mother migrated to the United States from El Salvador to provide a better future for her five children. Coming from a Hispanic country, my mother did not speak English and had nobody who could educate her on how to protect what was important to her. From a young age, I stepped in and helped my mom figure out how things work in the U.S. and gained a lot of experience navigating processes and being self-reliant. As I grew older, I realized that I could be a huge asset to my community and advise them on how to protect what they spend their lives working hard for. I got an opportunity to start putting my skills to use when I joined the Ross Olive State Farm Agency as a team member. Ross is a great mentor and helped me learn the insurance business with a focus on great work ethic and customer service.
