About Srishti

Srishti is a non-profit organization, dedicated to promoting diversity in the Greater Washington Metro area through cultural events, exhibitions and publications, focused on the Indian subcontinent. Srishti’s objective is twofold: The first objective is to enhance the vitality of the area and the quality of life for the Indian American community by creating an environment wherein artists and cultural organizations can thrive. The second objective is to support literacy and quality of life in far reaching areas of India where several individuals are not adequately privileged to meet the basic necessities in life. By fostering opportunities for creative expression that have significant artistic, educational and cultural merit, we will assist in preservation and celebration of the area’s multi-cultural heritage.
