About UrmiMusic Indian Music Classes
Urmi Battu was introduced to Indian music at a very young age by her mother, Sangeet Visharad Dr. Pranati Bhattacharya, who has been teaching Indian music for over four decades in India. She grew up in an environment where music was an integral part of life and the quest for the art-form was irrefutable. She enjoys working closely with her students and uses creative techniques to bring out the best of their musical talents. With the knowledge and experience that she has acquired over the years, she hopes to inspire her students to evolve as good singers and find their passion in the art-form. The adult classes are structured towards voice and rhythm training covering many different genres of Indian music. The individual lessons are planned keeping specific interests of the student in mind.
