Vidya Nataraj teaches and performs Carnatic music in its purest form with an integrated approach with Hindustani and western classical music, with an uncompromising standard of instruction to help students understand and appreciate all forms of music through south indian classical music. Born into a family of renowned classical musicians and musicologists, Vidya's performance career spans over 30 years with her first prodigious professional concert at the age of nine. The first state recipient of the 'national talent search scholarship for 10 consecutive years , Vidya Nataraj has a masterÕs degree in south indian classical music and has been awarded 6 gold medals for being the top scorer in both bachelors and master degrees. An approved and graded vocalist on All India Radio for 25 years, Vidya has been performing several concerts and feature programs.
