Arya Samaj New York, established in 1979, is a spiritual and cultural institution dedicated to preserving and promoting the values of Vedic Dharma as taught by Swami Dayanand Saraswati. Located in Jamaica, Queens, this center serves as a vibrant hub for the Indian-American community, offering a space for worship, education, and community service rooted in the teachings of the Vedas. The mission of Arya Samaj NY is to promote truth, righteousness, and unity by encouraging the study of ancient scriptures, upholding high moral values, and fostering spiritual growth. Weekly Sunday morning Yajnas (fire ceremonies) and Satsangs (spiritual discourses) are held to engage families in collective prayer and learning. The center also performs Vedic rituals such as weddings, namkaran (naming ceremonies), and other sanskars (life-stage ceremonies). In addition to religious services, Arya Samaj NY hosts cultural celebrations, youth education programs, Hindi language classes, and community outreach initiatives. The organization encourages interfaith understanding and social responsibility, reflecting its motto: “Krinvanto Vishvam Aryam” — Let us make the world noble.
