About Avant Decor

Avant Decor was started by Elizabeth Wright and Melissa Landgren in early 2004. We were both working full-time jobs in corporate America, but we realized we missed the excitement of creating spectacular events! After requests from friends and family members to decorate for their weddings and parties, we decided to start a small business. Realizing there weren’t any companies in the Twin Cities who specialized exclusively in ceiling decor, we started by purchasing the standard products, but also set our sights on new and different products to keep pace with the changing trends. Four years later, the business was thriving and Avant Decor became full-time employment for both of us!Avant Decor now carries one of the largest selections of fabrics in the Minneapolis/St. Paul area. Our inventory includes the traditional white and ivory chiffon typically used for weddings, but we also offer almost every color in the rainbow in either satin or chiffon fabric. If you don’t see the exact color you would like, we can custom-order fabric for you to match your event. One of our most popular new additions to our inventory is a lovely lace fabric that has been incorporated in vintage as well as rustic style events.
