Berkeley Institute of Homeopathy is a rigorous three year professional homeopathic training program located in Berkeley, California for those desiring to become homeopathic practitioners. The Institute also runs a low cost clinic designed to serve the public and to provide clinical training for its advanced students. The classes meet once monthly for one weekend. The first year consists of a 2 day weekend of instruction on Saturday and Sunday, and the second and third years consist of a 3 day weekend on Friday, Saturday and Sunday, with one day of clinic attendance and participation, and 2 days of instruction. Homeopathy is a scientific system of healing based on a principle described by writers as early as Hippocrates which observes that a substance can often cure symptoms which are similar to symptoms which it can produce.

Rated 5.0 I am currently a student in my 2nd year of a three year program. Iris Ratowsky, the head of the school and primary teacher, is a gifted practitioner with over 25 years of experience who is a gifted teacher as well. (As a teacher, trainer and coach myself, I do not say that lightly. Many teach but few are gifted.) She is ably assisted by Jo Daly and guest lecturers as appropriate. Classes are intimate and Iris is committed to each student's success in the program. We gain clinical experience by observing Iris with clients at our monthly teaching clinic, which provides a great service to Bay Area residents by providing low-cost, high quality homeopathic care. Iris's commitment to keeping homeopathy alive as a healing art is inspiring.
