BKM Tamil School is a volunteer-run non-profit organization serving people in Houston, Sugarland, Katy, Cypress and Pearland cities in Texas. Founded more than 4 decades ago, Bharathi Kalai Mandram is the renowned Tamil Sangam in the Greater Houston area. Run by the Tamil Sangam, BKM Tamil School is a volunteer-run non-profit organization serving people in Houston, Sugarland, Katy, Cypress and Pearland cities in Texas. More than 15 years, volunteers have been dedicating their time and efforts in teaching the Tamil language in this area. Classes have been held in private schools, churches, and other venues. As the demand for Tamil instruction has grown, the school has also grown. In addition to Tamil education, BKM Tamil School has been working for the children to participate in Tamil cultural activities and competitions during mid and annual year functions. Run by well qualified and dedicated volunteers, the goal is to teach the Tamil language to future generations without any business motive.
