It’s neither rainy nor the white winter, but basement is wrapped in moisture. Some basement maintenance tips and tricks would help condensation during dry season. Outdated plumbing sets afoot leaks, stink, molds, pest and condensation. Did I ever mention poor ventilation?

This is the high time, we should be thinking about eco-friendly landscaping. Saves basement from leaks and, of course energy!

Caulking has got to do a lot with waterproofing

Neighborhoods with elbow-to-elbow life are very deep into basement seepage. Without saying the entire neighborhood should opt for caulking. Entries of seepage being WINDOWS, NAIL HOLES, CRACKS, DOORS, and SILL, PIANTABLE SILICON CAULK are advocated by waterproofing experts.

Gutters and downspouts distracted

Cracks could be helped with waterproofed seals, but downspouts could be stretched away from the house. Find Gutter screens save downspouts from getting soiled and clogged. They come along with leaf catchers. Therefore, dried leaves and twigs are collected by filters making things easier for us.

Sealing service holes to control leak and pests

Rodents sneaking into house, and then we could expect a few more guests. Service holes serve as the guest entrance of rodents. It might be air conditioner vents or laundry wiring or gas pipes. These vents should be inspected and sealed inside out.

Land slope and foundation walls

What do we get from basement molds?

Eww, the smell! We would rather prefer some amateur headbangers ball. It gave me such a worst headache. For some time I was living under the myth that it was the Sleep Apnea.
