About Chandni's Creations

Aradhita had her basic education in arts in India. She finished her Masters in Science and came to USA to follow the American dream. In Bay area, a leap forward was to be able to work with a master painter, which gave the necessary thrust to work independently. She recently moved to Northern VA and started showing her paintings and discovered that people like them. Her paintings are a reflection of a journey through different experiences in India and the USA. She lived through the contradictions and similarities of two very different cultures. Differences like spiritualistic vs. materialistic, a millenniums old culture vs. one which is young, collectivist vs. individualistic. And similarities like quest for knowledge, rights to pursue happiness, unity in diversity. Through her work, she captures these and preserves the cultural values to pass on to the future generation. Material is oil on canvas. Techniques used are brush and palette knives.
