Friends giving and a mehfil that will be truly remembered due the efforts of Vinay and Aparna from Mehete Sur. They had a unique way to become one of us (mind you we are middle school friends in our fifties) getting us all involved and even getting people with two left feet dance away. Attended a 75th birthday part for a doctor friend and Mehekte Sur was the entertainer. We were all on the floor for over 2 hours on their Live singing and did not even feel the need for a DJ. The best thing was that they were on the flooor dancing with us. I have never seen anything like this before.

Vinay recently hosted my daughter’s 5th birthday party and we all had a blast. He is a really good dj and anchor. He took great care to get to know us and curated the event as per my preference and played my daughter’s favorite songs. My 5 yr old enjoyed a full 4 hr event and dint get tired all thanks to him. He handled the entire event with ease and the crowd loved him. He had all the kids on the floor , conducted games for us and finally all adults also had a great time on the dance floor. They sang old Hindi Bollywood songs, as well as Marathi, Gujrati and Bengali. Truly versatile singers who could sing old and new songs both. Over this past Memorial Day weekend (May 26, 2024) I gave my mom a surprise birthday party for her 75th. Pre-planned everything a month ahead of time. Vinay recently hosted my daughter’s 5th birthday party and we all had a blast. He is a really good dj and anchor. He took great care to get to know us and curated the event as per my preference and played my daughter’s favorite songs. My 5 yr old enjoyed a full 4 hr event and dint get tired all thanks to him. He handled the entire event with ease and the crowd loved him. He had all the kids on the floor , conducted games for us and finally all adults also had a great time on the dance floor. It’s tricky to handle a kids party and entertain kids and adults alike. Can’t recommend him enough

I don’t know where to even start on how magnificent of a singer, entertainer and person she and her husband are. I hired them to sing at my Dad’s 70th birthday party. It was truly a magical day because of them. They are more than just singers. They were like family. Aparna and Vinay, both singers of this group are fantastic. We had their musical program in last weekend. About 175 people attended it and everybody loved their singing. Their selection of songs was very nice too. Even though all our members are seniors, they became young and were dancing with full energy with the songs and the music. Friends giving and a mehfil that will be truly remembered due the efforts of Vinay and Aparna from Mehete Sur. They had a unique way to become one of us (mind you we are middle school friends in our fifties) getting us all involved and even getting people with two left feet dance away. They both have great voices and more so the warmth and love they sing with. The range of songs from 1950 to 2022 they covered favourites and they truly became the jaan of our get together. Aparna and Vinay performed at our daughter's Roka ceremony. One of the unique things was, since our son-in-law to be is Malyalli, we requested a malyalli song, and the two did an outstanding job! This is one amazing Jodi! We connected so well in the initial conversation regarding my event, that I just had to find a way to make it work for them to sing in Chicago for my friends and family. We are big music enthusiasts so having them at our event really energized everyone in the room, from my 2 year old to my father in law and his senior friends. DJ Raaga is a great DJ. He provided his services at our Sweet 16th Ceremony and it was flawless. The music and selection of songs for dancing was very good and was appealing to both teens and young adults.

DJ Raaga is a great DJ. His prices are so reasonable and his quality is amazing. He helped us out for our wedding ceremony music as well as our reception music. He did a goos job with both and he was very willing to learn about the South indian (tamil) traditions to accommodate out needs and play the songs necessary for our wedding. We had DJ Raaga for my daughters wedding and reception. He is really good and available any time before the event and had quite a few meeting with him for song song selection and planning. He is really good in the tamil and telugu songs too. We recommend him and we will definitely use him for future events.

I watched and thoroughly enjoyed the African Special Virtual Concert that Mehekte Sur did. Loved how the session was entertaining and at the sametime informative too. Aparna's rendition of the Swahili Song was outstanding!

Saw them last night at Samudra in NJ. Have been hearing them on and off for a while but this was the first time that we heard them in close quarters. Their singing and confidence is par excellence. They have such a broad range in their voices that they can sing songs from several decades. My favorites are the songs from 60s and 70s.

I hired Mehekte Sur for my engagement party as my parents are big fans of the Golden Era songs and wanted a segment for the same at my engagement party for their friends. Vinay and Aparna worked with us to not only cover that segment but also spent time with us to plan the songs for the couple dance at the start of the event. Awesome experience. We hired Mehekte Sur to perform at our sangeet event. The cross cultural nature of our marriage made it all the more challenging. They were a big hit! Their warm and easy personality made it effortless to work with them as we created our sangeet event timeline and selected music. The most important thing to us was keeping everyone engaged and on the dance floor when the DJ played his music. Vinay and Aparna were able to provide a great sangeet experience,which also included traditional Punjabi live singing, for our diverse guests (Indian, non Indian, young, old) .
