My experience with Blue Llama Events was phenomenal. Everything went off perfectly and it was an extremely difficult event to plan and execute. I came to Blue Llama Events with a completely bespoke event request. Other event planners did not even want to take on the project, and Jean welcomed the challenge. The logistics were difficult, as everyone attending was from out of town, so all of the planning had to be done from a distance, but I always felt reassured that everything was set and ready to go. Of course with every wedding, there is going to be issues. Our photographer got covid 2 days before the wedding and she took care of the issue so we did not stress. She had all the contacts for vendors, she booked everything, sent out invitations, got permits for the baraat, arranged details with photographers, and basically created a beautiful wedding that not only my husband and I will never forget, but neither will the guests forget. And she knew more about Indian weddings than I did! She is so professional but also she became my friend in the end. I’m so grateful for Jean and her team!

My experience with Blue Llama Events was phenomenal. Everything went off perfectly and it was an extremely difficult event to plan and execute. I came to Blue Llama Events with a completely bespoke event request. Other event planners did not even want to take on the project, and Jean welcomed the challenge. The logistics were difficult, as everyone attending was from out of town, so all of the planning had to be done from a distance, but I always felt reassured that everything was set and ready to go. Jean runs a very tight ship, everything is thoroughly thought out, many options are given, accompanied by excellent advice. Expenses are watched carefully, and the attention to detail is outstanding. Jean is operates the business with the utmost integrity and professionalism. I could not have been happier with the experience and the result!

Jean and her team were beyond amazing!! They went above and beyond their roles! From the moment we met with Jean, she was so organized and on top of everything, I knew hiring her was the right choice! For our reception, we had a lot of small details to be executed and her team set it up exactly as I envisioned. Jean was the go to for the night, my right hand woman, to guide us through the order of events. Right after our ceremony, we realized we forgot to bring the sparklers for our sparkler exit, I was devastated, and literally minutes later Jean said don't worry about it, we have it taken care of, no joke, within an hour her team found an open store on a Sunday, got long sparklers and had them put in the sparkler jar in time for sparkler sendoff. That meant the world to us since that's the one moment we were beyond excited for! Her and her team were lifesavers!! She stayed until the very end, cleaning everything up and packing it all into my family's vehicles. We were blown away by how efficient she was! Such a pro! We will definitely recommend her to engaged friends! A day of coordinator is definitely worth every penny, especially if it's Blue Llama Events! This team is AMAZING! I was about six months into wedding planning and feeling completely overwhelmed. I reached out and spoke with Jean Rivers who instantly made me feel at ease. I was recently the DJ at a wedding that Jean from Blue Llama Events was the event planner and coordinator. If I had to sum her performance up in 1 word I would say AMAZING. She was fast in her communications with me prior to the wedding! She helped work out some last minute details with the room arrangement which was no small effort! On the wedding day she helped everything go smooth! She jumped in when she was needed and did it all with a smile on her face! I had a unique experience with Jean in that our wedding was scheduled for March 28, 2020 — right at the time of the first lockdown. We had already been planning for a year, but Jean quickly took the initiative in rescheduling with all vendors. We ended up rescheduling twice due to the pandemic and finally had our amazing reception on Feb 19, 2022 Through all the cancellations, vendor changes, and small detail changes, Jean was there to make sure everything went smoothly. Planning and replanning this for 3 years would not have been possible without her. The reception was magical and everything I wanted. I cannot recommend her services enough!

All I had to do was show up for appointments, most of which were virtual which was very convenient for me since I live a ways away from her office. Where to begin.. Jean and her team are one of a kind. We hired Jean right from the beginning and were always in contact with her for the 1.5 yrs of planning! She was the point of contact for our venders, set up meetings with them, and handled EVERYTHING the day of the wedding. I didn’t have to worry about anything but enjoying my wedding day, which is something not a lot of people get to do. Her team helped set up the decorations, take them down, and pack them into my families car. We had our dogs in our wedding and her team even brought treats to help distract them when needed. Jean and her team are amazing at what they do. We had an Indian and American fusion wedding. She took the ideas I had and turned it in to a fairytale wedding. Of course with every wedding, there is going to be issues. Our photographer got covid 2 days before the wedding and she took care of the issue so we did not stress. She had all the contacts for vendors, she booked everything, sent out invitations, got permits for the baraat, arranged details with photographers, and basically created a beautiful wedding that not only my husband and I will never forget, but neither will the guests forget. And she knew more about Indian weddings than I did! She is so professional but also she became my friend in the end. I’m so grateful for Jean and her team!

Sugar Events and Entertainment was, hands down, our favorite vendor for the weekend! My wife and I are both low-key people, with highly involved professional lives, so we were hoping to have a DJ and entertainment crew that could meet our needs leading up to the wedding, keep things stress free, and would be flexible with our schedule. Right off the get go, Sahil and his crew were friendly, professional, detail-oriented, and very organized. He met us at our budget point, and worked with us to customize toward what we wanted within our budget. We needed some direction as we were taking a non-traditional approach to our Indian wedding, and Sahil and Riddhi stepped in where they could to say I've seen that before or you may want to discuss that with your families -- honesty that goes a long way! In the months before the wedding, they created a minute-by-minute blueprint for the events, scripts for what they would be doing or saying, questions directed to us to make sure the flow goes well, and most importantly, suggestions on ways to make our vision of our wedding come to life. The Baraat was a hit. The wedding flowed smoothly with Riddhi's day of coordination. The wedding song playlist was customized to mine and my wife's favorite songs, and was a hit. The reception photobooth was a hit. But, most importantly, our reception was the big hit. Sahil and his team made sure that our dancefloor was packed (literally nonstop) from the moment speeches ended until we were kicked out of our venue! I rarely see a full dancefloor without lulls at a wedding reception, but we were thrilled that ours was one of them as he accomodated our guests requests sampled from an online submission form weeks in advance and took our requests to balance Bollywood, Bhangra, Top 40, and 90-00s Hip-Hop. We can't say enough good things about Sahil, Riddhi, and Sugar Events and Entertainment. If you're looking for a friendly, accomodating, flexible, and downright fun DJ for an unforgettable event, I promise you'll sing the same praises we do after signing Sugar Events!

Sugar Events and Entertainment are absolutely fabulous!! Sahil is a wonderful person. They had taken care of things that we didn't even expect them to do, from timeline to frequent interactions to resolve any discrepancy that we came across. They made sure we were comfortable and showed us all of the amazing things they have to offer to make sure we were making a good informed decision for our package choice. The music was phenomenal!! All of the announcements were heard loud and clear which is very important. Riddhi is on top of her game too, she went an extra mile for us from managing people's entry and co-ordinated everything. Sahil and Sugar Events was absolutely amazing! He worked our wedding in Mexico and it went flawless. I am Jewish and my now husband is Indian so we needed someone that could cater to different music preferences. Everyone kept saying they were so good and they did the perfect mix of genres tailored to our group. They know how to not only start the party but keep it going all night, and they worked multiple events, were always super professional, on time, well-prepared and very nimble for things that came up. Would absolutely recommend them for both domestic and international weddings.

I saw Sahil DJ a reception event for a family friend and really liked his work! My husband and I setup a call with him to understand more details and see if this could be a fit for our own reception function. In our first meeting itself and throughout our interactions with him, we absolutely loved his professionalism !! He also went beyond his own work, and recommended us vendors based on our tastes and gave us some great referrals for vendors we also ended up working with! We then got in touch with Ridhi based on his recommendation for wedding coordination and it is safe to say that without her, the event would have not gone this smoothly! She pulled her magic and was there when we needed her! She was super hands on and pushed us to get all the details on time prior to the event and spoke to all vendors to made sure everything from decor, lighting, catering and DJ came together in time! She also was a superwoman when it came to crowd hearding which can get challenging with Indian events as things seem to run late - but Ridhi was on top of her game and made the show run the way we wanted it!! Sahil too got an detailed schedule from us to make sure he would know when to play the songs, speak in between and when to hype up the crowd. He had also provided us uplighting, sparklers and dry smoke and even put the sparklers on when we were getting family pictures done to make the backdrop even more beautiful! This was an addition to what we agreed and we really appreciated this pleasant surprise!! As a huge plus, he knew how speak at an event and hyped up the crowd during our entrances, and the dancing ! He didn’t let the party stop which was the best part!! Getting so so many compliments for the reception is a testimony to Sahil and Ridhis work and we are glad we worked with them to make this function magical for everyone!!

Sahil, Riddhi and the Sugar Events and Entertainment team were the highlight of our engagement party! From the moment we started working with them, they were the ultimate professionals and very organized and planning oriented. Sahil scheduled multiple meetings weeks and months in advance for my fiancé and I to go over our taste in music, the timeline for the evening, and logistics of how to accomplish everything in the exact way that we wanted, and always got back to us very quickly whenever we reached out with any questions. Most importantly though, our dance floor was absolutely packed the entire night, start to finish. I've been to fun parties and weddings before but I've never seen energy like that on a dance floor. Even the quietest of our friends couldn't help but join on the dance floor. I give DJ Sahil and his entire team all the credit, the music and dholi were absolutely phenomenal and all of our guests made it a point to tell us how much they loved our DJ. As a cherry on top, although we had expected our venue to provide day-of-coordination and we declined this service through Sugar Events and Entertainment, their team stepped up in any ways that our coordinator from the venue fell short. Their passion for what they do and putting the event first through these small acts of kindness didn't go unnoticed. We are so happy we booked Sugar Events & Entertainment for our wedding and could not suggest him enough! Sahil went above and beyond from the beginning, we had multiple meetings-which he graciously rescheduled for us whenever we had something come up last minute. He was always on time and easy to get in touch with-responding within a 24 hour window, but usually sooner. To say he is proactive might be an understatement, as we received multiple lists of songs to review in order to give him a better understanding of our tastes, as well as a combined online document we could all share and edit to plan out the day. He went to our venue a few weeks in advance to check it out, and to see how he could best accommodate our vision in the space. When the day came he brought the energy, made little adjustments to best suit our needs (as we had previously discussed) and things could not have gone any smoother. We booked Sugar Events and Entertainment for our two day wedding festivities and our experience with the team from beginning to end was phenomenal! We met several times prior to our events to work out event timelines and performance cues. They were even available early on the day of to rehearse and discuss any last minute changes! Communication was key and Sahil was always just a text away. They also made sure our events went smoothly and timely, which is especially hard to do at an event of 650 people, but they did it flawlessly. We thought it would be difficult to get the party going but Sahil had everyone on the dance floor, from uncles and aunts to grandmas and grandpas! And we couldn’t have done it without Riddhi’s expert coordination from cueing up the smoke machine for our first dance to confirming the timeline with us the day of and keeping us on schedule throughout the event which helped us fit in everything important to us without getting distracted. All around WONDERFUL experience with the most AMAZING team!!

Riddhi & her team were an absolute dream to work with! The moment I hired her, we started working on our day of event coordination for my Pakistani wedding. Hiring Riddhi P. and the Sugar Events and Entertainment team as our wedding coordinators was the best move! In the months leading up to our wedding, Riddhi met with us several times and stayed in touch continuously via text, answering all of our questions and offering valuable suggestions that we benefited from. We planned logistics for the entire day, including getting ready and arrival times, planning photo locations and travel, ceremony events, reception events, and food service. Riddhi was in communication with all of our vendors and made sure the food, decorations, and cake arrived on time, our transportation and photographers stayed on schedule, and most importantly, that all the wedding party and family members were at the right place at the right time. She even attended our church wedding rehearsal and seamlessly took care of last-minute changes of our wedding day plans, including changing decor on all of the tables and getting permission for us to use a new photoshoot location the day of. Riddhi also recorded a choreography tutorial video for our first dance, which she catered to our skill level, and it was a huge success. In addition, she and her team members are super nice and helped make our special day smooth and stress-free, allowing us to enjoy it to the fullest! We had regularly scheduled video calls with them to discussing planning, music, & schedule. Sugar Events was responsible for our Baraat, Cocktail Hour Music, MC-ing (intros/dances), and Reception dance floor. They absolutely crushed it in all the events. The DJs kept people dancing on the dance floor until 1AM (5 hours)! We had sparklers that they timed perfectly with our first dance. Their Dhol player (Aayush) was phenomenal. The DJ and Dhol perfectly managed mixing Bollywood, Rap, Hip-Hop, Top40, Reggaeton, Irish, Punjabi, and even Baby Shark. Our guests only left the dance floor to go to the bar and came running back. Our guest couldn’t stop talking about how much fun they had on the dance floor and that they want us to throw another party for our 1 year anniversary. Seriously, Sugar Events exceeded our expectations, and we are so happy we went with them!

Sahil was extremely communicative and professional! We couldn’t have asked for a better DJ. Playing fun, upbeat Telugu music was super important to us and he made sure to tailor the music to our preferences. The crowd was so energetic all throughout the sangeet and reception thanks to him. We also ran into an issue and had to hire him 12 days before our wedding. He made sure we felt no stress and handled everything seamlessly. Sugar Events did an amazing job with the DJ responsibilities for my son's wedding. They provided a 3 man team including Krupesh as the DJ, Viraj as the audio engineer and an assistant. We had special needs of enabling karaoke without monitor speakers, which is a challenging proposition from a sound engineering perspective, and needless to say, Viraj did an amazing job adjusting the sound just right for the singers as well as the audience!! Krupesh did a great job keeping the audience engaged, hyping them where needed, transitioning between karaoke and dancing, there wasn't a dull moment!! We got so many compliments for a reception well orchestrated, primary credit goes to the DJ to keep the party momentum going! The dancing did not stop till the last minute of our allotted time at the venue! Would highly recommend Sugar Events team for any wedding celebration! Very professional yet easy to work with, with great, reliable equipment and highly skilled personnel!

Sahil and his crew were incredibly organized and made sure to get my sister’s preferences on songs, timings, etc. weeks before the events and would give reminders to keep us on track. They provided a lot of detailed documents of everything that would be happening/who was participating, and that made it incredibly helpful especially since this was our first immediate family wedding. He had a great arrangement of songs and ensured everyone on the dance floor was having a good time. The dance floor was never empty and we really appreciate the crew playing a variety of genres for everyone, especially with the diversity in the wedding. We know that couldn’t have been easy with all the different requests from everyone! Sahil and his crew accommodated all of our requests on speeches, dances, entrance songs, and it truly made the whole reception come together. Riddhi and her team kept our whole family sane the entire week. She kept track of all the little details (signs, handouts, head coverings, cake knife, venue decorations, seating assignments, entrance orders, much much more that I am missing) and was at our house bright and early to make sure everyone left on time. She ensured all the ceremonies ran smoothly and was incredibly organized and punctual. We used Sugar Events for their DJ and coordination team for our wedding week July 26,28,29. We couldn’t have asked for a better team. They helped run everything smoothly. From the beginning of the planning process, Sahil and his team were so personable and accommodating with our needs and wants. He made us comfortable and was very reasonable. The document sent to us to plan the days and the details of each day was well organized. Riddhi (coordination) FaceTimed us countless times to go over little details and over the document to make sure everything was clear. Even when things didn’t go to plan during the events, they made sure it still all ran smoothly. Our guests and ourselves didn’t even notice when something wasn’t to plan. Sahil is so experienced in fusion weddings that he ensured both cultures felt included. The music was the best and there was never an empty dance floor moment. He was able to accommodate the older population and the younger population and everyone was on the dance floor until the end! Sahil continuously answered my texts and ensured all my questions were answered (even though I probably asked the same question multiple times). They coordinated with my sister for 8 months and were able to work with her to create the best, most fun week of our lives! My family is notorious for being late. Riddhi was able to handle my family so well and made sure everyone was on time. She showed up to my house at 7:30 AM and basically kicked everyone out of my house in order for us to make it to the ceremony on time. Without her, I probably wouldn’t have been married on time. Riddhi was also able to handle me well. I get very time stressed and she kept me calm and was always communicating with me. Her team also made sure my husband and I were fed and hydrated throughout the events. My husband and I can’t recommend and thank Sahil, Riddhi and their team enough. Without them, I would’ve genuinely become a bridezilla and they didn’t let that happen. They truly became friends by the end of our wedding. Planning weddings are famously difficult, and even more difficult when a South Asian/fusion wedding is planned within just three months! There were many times when we thought that we didn't have enough time to pull it off, but Sahil and Riddhi made it easy. Starting with Riddhi: even though we hired her only as a partial wedding planner/day-of coordinator, Riddhi kicked in with helpful vendor recommendations immediately, from florists and caterers to finding someone who could expertly tie the groom's turban for our ceremony. Riddhi clearly had immense knowledge and experience of the South Asian wedding industry in Dearborn/Detroit, and this was invaluable to us in our expedited planning process. As the date of the wedding approached, Riddhi kicked in with helpful coordination calls to keep us on track. In the weeks leading up to the wedding, Riddhi fully kicked in and took on coordinating directly with the vendors, and our families. On the wedding day, Riddhi took on various tasks to ensure that the day went seamlessly, from driving the bride to our first look to staying at the venue till 1AM helping the bride's mom tear down her DIY decor. She took pains to make sure that we were having a blast at the wedding and that everything went off without a hitch. Going on to Sahil, our DJ: from the start Sahil impressed us by knowing exactly how to approach our fusion (Cuban/Pakistani) wedding vibes. He was able to help us strike the music and MC balance perfectly. Sahil also offered a fantastic barat package, making the barat the most memorable part of the wedding and an incredible way to kick off the festivities. Half of our guests had never seen a barat, however Sahil expertly walked guests through the customs while getting the crowd excited to participate. The package also included a bhangra dance group performance, with the performers being extremely talented and professional. Lastly, and perhaps most importantly, the MCing and flow of both the ceremony and reception was flawless, with us and our families not having to lift a finger. We could not be more thrilled with our experience with Sahil and Riddhi. They were instrumental to pulling off a beautiful and flawlessly executed wedding in just three months, without even being full-time wedding planners. On the day of the wedding itself, Riddhi was at the bride's house early in the morning, making sure hair and makeup were in order and that things were going in a timely manner. It was also very helpful of her to drive the bride to photos and eventually the venue itself, lessening the stress on others to organize transportation. Like any other big wedding event, there were some crises that came up, but Riddhi and team helped us navigate through them, constantly communicating with us any other parties involved. Without their involvement, I'm not sure the wedding would have been such a success. Additionally, through the day and night, the team made sure we were getting our food, drinks, and fulfilling any other requests so that we could focus on the memorable events and spend time engaging with our loved ones. Let me start off by saying that, Neha is simply amazing at what she does! She helped me plan my fusion Punjabi -Gujarati wedding within my budget. She herself is half-Gujarati and is very in tune with the Indian culture, so she became my most valuable resource during the wedding planning process. She was full of helpful and creative ideas from the start that made a stressed out bride-to-be like me feel more at ease. When an idea was out of budget, she would come up with other ideas that fulfilled my needs. She definitely has an aptitude for wedding planning and is so helpful at thinking through all of the little details that you might forget to consider. I don’t know what I would’ve done without her!

I hired Neha for day of coordination a few weeks before my wedding. Since the first day I spoke to her, I could see how detail oriented she was. While I had planned my wedding up until that point, Neha stepped in and took over as the primary vendor contact as well as asking me many, many questions to make sure I hadn't forgotten any details (and at times I did). She read through each contract, visited the venue, and had weekly followups with me. Working with a good wedding planner can help you stay on budget and reign in your costs. Working with a great wedding planner, Neha, helped us give our daughter the fairy tale wedding she dreamed of since she was ten and created a day, and night, to remember for our family and friends. Just a few months before the wedding, my daughter and I were selecting the music, flowers, and favors for our event when we met Neha at a Wedding Expo. Her knowledge, demeanor, and expertise impressed us on the spot so we accepted her offer of a free hour consultation. We decided to engage Neha as our day-of coordinator (which really means she worked with us for at least 30 days before the wedding) since we had already booked our Church and venue. Any successful event requires critical attention to every detail and the experience to anticipate both minor and major catastrophes; multiply that tenfold for a wedding. I quickly realized I could not do it all by myself without stressing out my daughter and her fiancé.

I was able to ask her even the tiniest questions and get timely feedback - from shoes to flowers to guestbook ideas - you name it, she had a suggestion for it. Neha was able to keep me on track throughout my year and a half engagement even on my crazy teacher schedule. I would recommend her help and advice to anyone who needs another person to discuss all things wedding with!

I am an only child and the oldest cousin so neither me nor my family knew a whole lot about wedding planning. Added on top of this, I'm Hindu and my wife is Catholic so the whole process had the potential to be an absolute organizational nightmare! Due to our lack of experience, I was forced to be very involved in my wedding planning and knowing Neha and her incredible event planning skillsets, I sought her advice on the many different aspects. I had attended a few of the weddings she had planned in the past and her experience with interfaith weddings was invaluable. Neha helped us navigate many points throughout the wedding planning process – from major issues such as how to keep the various family factions happy with advice on where to compromise and when to stand firm to technical details such as how structure our non-denominational ceremony to even the nitty-gritty issues like what to shop for in India including lists. What was the best, however, was how easily she anticipated our needs with reminders and little check ins. It was great to have someone who knew the ins and outs make a stressful time much more manageable and smooth!

Neha is a very thorough and well organized event planner. She is skillfully able to manage tasks according to tight deadlines, and is very good at motivating the key people involved in your event. Her attention to detail and depth of experience allows her to contribute immensely to the decision making process (as well as push it along). During our Indian wedding Neha's coordination and focus was a tremendous help to ensure everything ran smoothly. Dealing with challenging personalities from both sides of the family and a myriad of requests/tasks, her people skills really calmed down our collective nerves. If you want your event to run smoothly I would highly recommend Neha to assist you in all aspects of the planning process.

My husband and I worked with Neha for over a year planning our Sangeet and Hindu wedding/reception day. From the moment we had our initial consultation with Neha, we immediately knew we had to hire her. Her positive energy and enthusiasm made us (momentarily) forget why we needed a planner in the first place! Neha was the exact kind of wedding planner we needed. She understands the layers of complexities of planning an Indian wedding with not only the bride and groom, but also their families. Neha was always willing to have group calls or write down things in emails that would be easy for everyone to understand. She is insightful, reasonable, and very experienced. Neha was also very flexible and worked around the schedules of two busy doctors quite easily. I was always very impressed by how responsive she is. Early on during our planning, my husband and I hit a major roadblock with wedding venue searching. We were so discouraged that we weren’t even sure if we wanted to continue with the wedding process. Neha realized what we were going through and set up a video call promptly (perhaps later that day) to hash things out and create a plan with alternative solutions. It was a very productive call and definitely reassured us that we can get through this setback. Neha helped our wedding dream come true. The days leading up to the sangeet and wedding day felt rocky because certain things still weren’t set. We still didn’t even have all the place cards the day before the reception! Somehow Neha was able to handle everything and let us enjoy the events without any worries. Neha seamlessly became an important part of our lives for over a year. It truly felt less like a vendor-client relationship, and more of a friendship. My partner and I would sometimes refer to our wedding planning meetings as therapy with our older sister! She always knew how to console us whenever we were feeling stressed, unsure, upset and/or discouraged during the process. Neha - it was our great pleasure working with you! We love you!

If I could give Jean 10 stars out of 5, I would. She works INCREDIBLY hard to make sure everything is perfect for your event. She responds promptly and politely (always), and her prices are more than reasonable. She is amazing, and I wouldn't recommend anyone else to do your event other than her!

Jean is the best! She gets things done! She was the Coordinator of a wedding that I photographed and she did an amazing job!!! There was a problem with a DIY bridal detail that malfunctioned and I didn’t even notice because she was able to smoothly make it work and the reception was absolutely flawless! She is a professional and able to think on her feet which is so important since there are always little things that will come up!

I absolutely loved working with Jean for our wedding day! I was initially hesitant to hire a wedding coordinator due to our budget, but she was BEYOND worth it and I can’t imagine pulling the day off without her. She was quick with communication and coordination between me and the wedding venue – which had been a HUGE struggle before working with Jean. She always kept my wishes as a top priority and truly had my back throughout the months that we worked together. Even on the wedding day she was the one person that kept me sane and relaxed!
